Kaito Ren, passing by, looked puzzled. There was indeed a mosquito near him, but what did it have to do with his victory over Kato In?

As Kaito Ren was confused, Haru offered a wry smile.
"Hmm?! This really has something to do with you?"
Kaito Ren frowned, looking at Haru questioningly.
"Yes, I know your strength. Kato In was no match for you. I was afraid you might accidentally kill him, so I created a small distraction."
Haru briefly explained what had happened.
Kaito Ren's mouth twitched. He wasn't a child; he knew how to control his strength. He should have. Considering Haru's intervention, Kato In still broke six or seven ribs. Without the distraction…
Kaito Ren's mouth twitched again. He'd still used too much force.
"You're not mad, are you?"
Haru glanced at Kaito Ren, worried about his reaction. She hadn't planned to say anything if she hadn't overheard the rumors.
"No."
Kaito Ren smiled, recovering his composure.
"That's good."
Haru smiled, relieved.
"Teacher, let's go! I'm starving!"
Saitama, noticing Kaito Ren hadn't moved, complained, clutching his rumbling stomach.
"Right, right. Let's eat."
Kaito Ren headed towards the cafeteria, only to be stopped at the entrance.
"You… are Kaito Ren?!"
A tall man sneered, looking down at Kaito Ren.
"Yes. Who are you?"
Kaito Ren frowned; he didn't recognize the man.
"I'm Senkai, a new student! Someone said breaking your arm or leg would get us into the Hero Association! Kid, you've angered the wrong people!"
The tall man grinned, gesturing, and several others surrounded Kaito Ren, ready to attack.
"You bastards! Don't you dare touch my Teacher! I'll teach you a lesson!"
Saitama shouted, jumping in to defend Kaito Ren.
[On your way to the cafeteria, you encounter several troublemakers. What do you do?]

"One!"
"Wait! Let me handle this!"
Kaito Ren pushed Saitama aside; he wasn't going to miss this opportunity for stat boosts.
"I'm hungry, so let's get this over with!"
Kaito Ren beckoned them forward.
"Brat! You'll regret this!"
Senkai and his five accomplices charged. Against these weaklings, Kaito Ren didn't bother with Intimidation, simply slapping each one.
"Done."
Kaito Ren clapped his hands, pleased with his twenty stat points. He was even hungrier now.
"What?! Useless! What good are you?!"
In the Reserve Hero School infirmary, Kato In, his face grim, was furious that his men had been easily defeated.
"Boss, those guys were just thugs. They're good at intimidation, but not here. Let's hire some professionals. I heard a bar takes requests; you give them the target and the bounty, and they handle it!"
A subordinate whispered.
"Hmm? Is this bar reliable?"
Kato In showed interest.
"Reliable. They've never failed."
The subordinate hesitated.
"But…"
"But what?!"
Kato In raised an eyebrow.
"The minimum bounty is 100,000 yen."
The subordinate whispered, glancing nervously at Kato In.
"100,000 yen?!"
Kato In's face contorted; he only had about 20,000 yen—an advance payment from the Hero Association.
He had to kill Kaito Ren!
Kato In's face twisted with rage. He imagined everyone at the school discussing his defeat. He'd gone from envied to ridiculed, and it was all Kaito Ren's fault. Kaito Ren had to die!
That afternoon, after gathering 100,000 yen, Kato In went to the bar.
"Boss, here's 100,000 yen. Kill this person! Here's his name and location!"
Kato In gave him the money and information, exaggerating Kaito Ren's strength to ensure a powerful assassin.
Kaito Ren, you're worth 100,000 yen, even in death!
Kato In felt a surge of vengeful satisfaction before leaving.
Shortly after, a figure emerged from the bar's back dojo.
"Here's the target."
The bar owner handed over the information.

The figure scanned the information, a seemingly innocent smile on their face.
"I accept the job!"
The figure left.
Meanwhile, at the Reserve Hero School, Kaito Ren had a satisfying meal. He'd planned to explore the forest for monsters but learned from Haru that the monsters had been depleted. He considered keeping his distance from Haru; otherwise, he might not even get any meat to eat! Maybe he should explore further ahead?
