After Saitama left, Kaito Ren returned to the dorm, intending to check on his pet egg. It was gone! The blankets and clothes were still there, but the egg was missing. That explained Saitama's evasiveness. He'd pawned the egg to the tailor!
"Teacher, don't worry! The tailor said he'd give me back the egg if I paid him by nightfall. I'll get it back!"
Saitama quickly explained.
"I hope so!"
Kaito Ren glared at Saitama, deciding to go with him. He didn't trust Saitama not to pawn the egg again.
"No problem!"
Saitama was confident. The tailor seemed honest.
"What?! You sold the egg?!"
Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the tailor's shop, only to receive devastating news.
Saitama's eyes widened. "We agreed you'd give it back if I paid by nightfall! What happened?!"
Saitama shivered, sensing his teacher's anger.
"We agreed on nightfall, but not exactly when. And who knows what you were giving me? Someone offered more, so I sold it!"
The tailor said defensively.
"Who did you sell it to?!"
Saitama asked urgently.
"A very pretty girl with a great figure and Black hair."
Her?!
Kaito Ren knew instantly.
