"Hoo~ Hoo~ Hoo~"
After the flames disappeared, Danzō returned to reality from his dream again.
At this moment, he was breathing hard, his gloomy eyes fixed on Kakashi and Obito.
The Sharingan under the bandage on his right eye closed permanently.
At this point, Danzō's only four Sharingan had all been used up.
Well, there goes his little 'buy one eye, get three free' plan.
What can I do? What else can I do?
Danzō frantically tried to think of a solution.
Wind Release? He'd already used his best.
Taijutsu? Against Kakashi's speed and strength? He'd be lucky to land a single punch before losing the other half of his body.
Self-karma seal? Obito could hollow out, and Kakashi was slipperier than a greased-up eel—good luck touching either of them.
Four Symbols Seal at the bottom of the box? Against the Flying Thunder God and Kamui? That was like throwing a wet rice ball at the Kyūbi.
The more he thought, the more desperate he became. But Kakashi and Obito weren't giving him any time.
"Fire Release: Hao Long Fire Technique!"
"Fire Release: Explosive Wind Dance!"
The two combined their flames into a roaring fire dragon wrapped in a vortex tornado.
"Wood Release: Thrusting Spear!"
Knowing he was outmatched, Danzō finally revealed his last secret—the Wood Release from the First Hokage.
A massive wooden spear sprouted from his right arm, blocking the fire dragon.
"You can use Wood Release?!"
Obito's eyes widened.
"Hmph. That's right—this is the power of the Shodai, the Wood Release bloodline that pacified the Warring States. Shodai used it to suppress Uchiha Madara himself, Mangekyō blazing!"
"So even if you have Mangekyō, you're no match for me. Submit, and I might even let you live."
He expected fear, maybe even surrender. Instead, Obito looked at him like he'd just said Ichiraku served miso soup without noodles.
"I don't know how you got Wood Release… but is it really that rare? You just need hands, right?"
"Wood Release: Hell's Chaos!"
Four massive thorny trees shot up around Danzō, twisting together to bind him and drive sharp branches into his body.
"Pffft!"
"You… Wood Release?!" Danzō spat blood, staring at Obito in horror.
"Is that rare? Not only can I use it, Kakashi can too," Obito shrugged.
Great, now he's sharing my hobbies without asking. What's next, he starts reading Icha Icha just to annoy me?
"This… impossible!" Danzō was stunned. Years of pain to get Hashirama's cells, and here these two were tossing around Wood Release like it was a party trick.
"Yeah, Obito's right," Kakashi said, raising his right hand to sprout a small sapling.
"Oh, and in a bit, Shisui will probably get it too."
Danzō's body shook with rage, another mouthful of blood spilling out. Without the Sharingan to suppress it, the Hashirama cells began taking over, turning his right arm—and then the rest of him—into wood.
He tried to cut off his arm, but the thorn forest held him tight.
"Oh, and one more thing," Kakashi said conversationally, "what you got from Orochimaru? Just the leftovers. The good Hashirama cell serum? Yeah, I gave him the raw materials, but I told him not to waste it on you."
Those were the last words Danzō heard before he was completely consumed.
Konoha's White Fang… thanks, Dad. Killing Danzō today? Consider it revenge for you.
Kakashi felt his soul pulse. A rush of mental clarity and power flooded him.
Kakashi… is that you? Do you finally acknowledge me?
He smiled inwardly. The original owner of this body had accepted him. From now on, they were one and the same.
Don't worry. I'll protect the people you cared about too. No more tragedies.
Feeling lighter, Kakashi turned to Obito.
"Obito, put the Danzō tree in your Kamui space."
"Huh? He's dead. Why keep him?"
"Stupid, you don't waste good wood. I'm building a public toilet in Konoha's busiest market street—Danzō's perfect for the flooring. Since he claimed only with him around Konoha could be stable, we'll name it Yasukuni—peace and stability, right?"
Obito burst out laughing. "That's brilliant! The great Root leader fertilizing Konoha's toilets!"
"Exactly," Kakashi said. "Let him bury all the dark and dirty things, so Konoha can be clean for once."
Shisui, listening nearby, nodded. "As expected of Kakashi-senpai. Even your naming has depth."
"Ahem. Alright. Danzō's gone. Let's seal these Root jōnin's chakra, dump them in Kamui, and haul them back."
His plan was simple: interrogation first, then memory wipe, then retrain them to atone for their crimes—or execute them as traitors.
In Konoha, any clan leader would know which choice to make.
