"Truth or Dare?!"
"Dare" says Yua without a stutter,a grin crept on her lips.
They were sitting behind the school gym after lunch--Mizuki,Ayami and Airi.The atmosphere was feeling light,as spring was approaching.The sun provided them with subtle warmth.It felt as if everything was going easy.
"I dare you to sing.. right now..Loud enough for everyone to hear it " says Airi, Yua's childhood bestfriend.
Yua blinks in disbelief "Seriously that's all you could find?"
"I don't know..but a dare's a dare.You gotta complete it."
Yua rolled her eyes,but anyway gets up and tugs her skirt in indicating that she was all ready.Feeling a bit nervous but still clears her throat and starts singing a chorus from her fav song..Proudly yet confidentally.
"If somebody hurts you, i wanna fight but my hand's been br-"
Someone from across the yard shouts loudly cutting off Yua's voice.
"More like you'll end up crying yourself girl!"
Yua frozed mid-chorus.
The laughter was heard a second later.
Loud.Sharp.Mean.
Yua didn't have to turn back to recognize the voice.She remembers this voice way to well to ever forget..almost as if it's been embedded to her memory.
It was Taemin .
He was leaning against the railing near the basketball court,hanging out with his group.They were here playing basketball but stopped when heard the girl's voices.
"Lol you really think you can actually sing? For a second I thought I heard a horse-"
"Someone call the music scouts,yall heard that? Our future idol standing right here"
His group starts laughing ,totally mocking Yua.
Airi said "Ignore them,let's go back.It's almost time for the class".
Yua didn't moved an inch.Her cheeks had turned red.Not that she was shy,she was truly burning with anger.She stood there upstraight..Few moments ago she was enjoying with her friends but now..
"I didn't even sang it to you"
"There was no need for that,we heard it from 3 buildings ahead" said Taemin sneering at her.
Yet another round of mockery applause started amomg his group.
"Leave it" said Ayami.
And she did.
As they were walking back to the class.All she could think of was how her chorus was shattered into various pieces leaving nothing but a sign of mockery behind.
