"Let's go straight to the point," the Dreamer crossed his legs while the girls backed away. "Why are you after me?"
I frowned slightly, trying to control my thoughts but ultimately, I failed.
"I see… You all know I'm not the killer, but you wish to pin the blame on me and satisfy the public while pushing your 'all deviants are evil' agenda." The Dreamer nodded slowly while picking up a bottle of whiskey and leaning back.
"Do I need a reason to chase after you?" I snapped back. "You are a deviant within the walls. Your existence here alone is a crime," I countered.
The Dreamer chuckled at my words and rose to his feet.
Pa! Pa!
Clapping his hands twice, everyone began walking out of the room without saying a word. I couldn't help but wonder how this man conquered these parts of the city without anyone noticing a thing.
If the shopkeeper didn't die, leading to an all-out search for a possible culprit, we wouldn't have noticed his existence.
