Chapter 36: He Is Gay
"Oh, right. Haha," Denis chuckled as well.
"See? You may go now. Your crew must be waiting for your update," Lillian reminded.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. So eager to make me leave? He's not beating you to death when you're alone, does he?" Denis asked as if the person in question wasn't around.
"Of course not. Do you see any bruises on me? You know I won't remain in a relationship like that," Lillian said incredulously.
How could he think she would endure something like that when she hated pain?
Denis must be thinking she had been single for too long that she might be accepting anything and everything thrown at her just to protect her first relationship after a long while of nothing.
Lillian wouldn't. She would get out of a relationship immediately if she knew she was not being treated well.
She appreciated the concern, though. Denis was ensuring she was not with the wrong guy.
