Chapter 15 - chapter no: 14

Having lost both the worlds in the game of love,

There goes a lonesome man, ending his night of grief

Desolate lies the tavern, abandoned lies the cup,

With your departure, spring has taken leave,

Just a mere four-day leave given to us to sin,

How magnanimous, you see, is our mighty Lord!

The world has expunged your memory from my mind,

More engaging than you are the cares of daily life.

To-day, Faiz, unawares she chanced to give a smile,

O what a swell and surge within my powerless heart!

"Amy....." His voice faltered finding her at the door. She was puzzled by feeling everyone's eyes on her.

She was dressed in black loose knee-length shirt with full sleeves and white trousers. Multicolored stoller loosely worn around her neck. Hair was in catcher.

"Did something happen? I swear I didn't even break anything today. You can ask Sufi." she said reluctantly. She thought that she did something wrong.

"No, we were just talking about some elderly matters. You should go study in your room. Remember to send your father here to see us." Dadu replied abruptly. Forgetting what to say she nodded her head in obedience.

"Yeah!elderly matters...." rolling her eyes she murmured and left.

"Are you sure Amman! You're ending Zainab's engagement with him?" Aunt was still in denial that she called off Zainab's engagement with Hisham.

"Yes, why being doubtful. My only daughter's only son asked me for something first time. I can't not fulfill his wish." She said patting his face. He smiled tightly. He was pondering over how she'd react upon this thing.

As Daddy came in a few moments, he repeated his words. He was astonished by Hisham's decision. He ensured that he was not doing it out of impulse.

"Yes. And I want it as soon as possible, this week.---- You know what Amy means to me. I am ready to give all kinds of guarantees, uncle---I can't see her in their possession. Those people didn't even show mercy to their own daughter. And this is their grand daughter. It is in front of everyone what they can do." There was a sense of urgency in his manner. The thought of being alienated was making him numb. That's why he was taking this step.

"Khanu! You are being hasty... Think about it! Think and then decide carefully. It's the matter of life." Aunt started to say thoughtfully.

" I will marry and take her abroad with me. It'd be simple Nikkah. Tomorrow, on Friday. I think the sooner the better. You make her agree, in any way.'' Ignoring her comment, He got up from Dadu's feet and then he left and went to his place. Without giving that, standing on the other side of the door, person was as affected as he was under earthquakes.

Her dupatta was lying on the bed. The door of the room was closed. She was going beyond crazy. Ever since she heard that Hisham was going to get married with Amy within less than twenty-four hours, she was fuming hard.

With her fingers stuck in her hair and face-reddened, she looked around. She was alone in there. Amy was in Dadu's room defiantly taking a head-massage for her headaches.

Sufi tried to talk to her but she scolded him and kicked him out. Her heart wanted to shout loud and scream and whatever came in front of her, break it into pieces.

Thinking about something, she entered the bathroom. She opened the tap and started splashing water on her face. It was cooling her nerves down. After some moments, she closed the tap and squeezed shut her eyes tightly.
