Hisham! Hisham! Hisham!" She repeated his name and chuckled. "How it happened all of sudden. After so much hard work, in this house, I got the status of being a good, well-mannered and polite girl. To get in your eyes, I even made it to college. That you don't think I'm ignorant."
She was thinking to herself glaring at her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes were filled with tears so she everything was blurred. She tilted her head to make her vision clearer.
She was more beautiful than Amy. Her color was fairly white, clear skin without any freckles, sharp nose, big hazel eyes, plump reddish lips and brown long hair that she had for him, as he liked long hair. When Amy wanted to have a short haircut, somehow he kept her refrain.
In her contrast, Amy had light brown skin tone, rounder nose than her, brown hair, that she cut when he left, being stubborn. Her bright eyes were light brown with long lashes. Her looks gave her an innocent charm.
Yeah! She was better than Zainab as she was chosen by him as his life partner. Thinking, she screamed.
'Why? Just why? It could be her?
But she had a chance to prove him that she was better than Amy. She is better in each aspect. She was more beautiful. Her friends and relatives were her fans. They were used to say, she was pretty. How could one deny such beauty within his approach. No one would resist her.
She left the bathroom and picked up her dupatta. Making her hair and neatening her clothes, she unlocked the door and went out.
Atmosphere was being suspenseful. Everything in the room seemed obscure and unclear. Something was weighing in the air. It is said that the things in a room reveal the state of its occupants. If you pay heed You can find out what they are saying.

She was lying with her head on Dadu's lap. Dadu was stroking her hair. She calmed down and closed her eyes. Dadu was thinking. She didn't know how to tell her about this but she was getting nowhere. Tired of the burdensome silence, Amy spoke on her own.
"Dadu--say something!"
"Yes--yes my child!" She overcame her daze at her words.
"Are you sick?" She asked worriedly opening her eyes and touching her forehead then her own to check it.
"No, I'm alright kiddo" she tried to smile. "Just getting old and worn out."
"It's hurting to see your children getting hurt and you couldn't do anything to help'em. First, Hisham lost her mother, who was my only daughter. Then you and your father's grieving." She became quiet. Her hand was till in her hair, motionless, gaze fixed at some uncertain point.
"Something's weighing on your mind. Right?" She understood.
"Yeah, you're right. Today someone came and I'm afraid you'll be hurt to find out." She, at last decided to tell her.
"Who's that?" Amy asked nonchalantly.
"They're your relatives. It's..." she was trying to say something when her room's door busted open and someone almost fall inside. They were both startled at this sudden act. It was Zainab. Hisham, with fuming face was behind her. He was almost burning with anger.
"Grandma, he's gonna kill me. He's being animalistic, save me from this beast." Zainab was sobbing. She seemed terrified and her body was being shaky. Her dress and hair were disheveled.
Dadu was dumbfounded trying to interpret the situation. She was afraid something had happened that was too horrible. She didn't want to even think in that way but situation was not good enough to make her calm.
Hisham was watching her with an awe at her demeanor. Hearing loud yelling and screaming of Zainab everyone was gathered in Dadu's room. The situation was gonna get worse.
