Louissa frowned and stared at Amari with the concern of an older sister scolding her younger sibling. "Amari, some things are better said directly. Stop being so stubborn all the time."

To Amari, Louissa was once again playing with words—twisting them subtly to make it seem like she was always sneaking around, constantly hiding things from Sebastian, meeting other men behind his back.
Amari noticed the way Sebastian's gaze was growing colder. She calmly pressed the elevator button to their floor and smiled faintly.
"If you really don't want to come with us, then we'll go on ahead."
She reached over and pressed the button to close the elevator doors.
Alexander, who had been watching Amari with amused curiosity, didn't notice anything strange until the doors began to shut. Then, he blinked and softly bit his lip in surprise. "So you're telling me… your entire relationship with him was just a show?"
