Chapter 3 - It's Over Now

Felix, the guy, had returned. He, standing tall at the door, a look of shock and disbelief on his face. He couldn't hold back any longer to ask,

"Willow, what are you doing?"

The apartment that was once cozy and filled with warmth, now stood in a disarray, it is charm completely stripped away, leaving only chaos in Its wake.

Willow continued to pack the remaining items into her suitcase, her movements slow as if deliberate, as if eager to erase every trace of the life she had built here.

Felix stood Frozen for a moment, his eyes sweeping over the messy state of their apartment, disbelief eitching his handsome face before he stormed towards her.

"Willow, are you out of your mind?" he snapped, his voice rising with frustration.

"I'm only gone for a minute, and you're already acting like this?"

He inhale and looked at Willow sharply, trying to control his temper. He snapped back, "I give you one hour, put everything back where it was...!"

Willow unfazed, finished packing the things in her hand, she slowly turned to face him.

Her expression was cold, no longer warm, detached almost as if she was dealing with a stranger.

A faint, mocking smile tugged on her lips, as she replied, "Felix, don't you know? Sometimes, once something is lost, it's gone forever. It can never be the same again."

Felix's frown deepened, impatience growing in his eyes, "What the hell are you trying to say?"

Willow couldn't help but feel the audacity in his words. Did this man truly not understand?

Perhaps people like him never saw themselves as in the wrong.

No, it wasn't like that. Willow shook her head. His's gentle demeanor had always been reserved for one person, Helen, the woman he had truly loved.

Willow's gaze was unwavering, as she stared at him down, her voice steady, yet every word seemed to carry the weight of all she had been through.

"On our wedding day, you abandoned me at the ceremony, ignoring both my pride and my pleas. Do you know how that felt? Felix, did you ever for a moment think about me? I was humiliated beyond measure, yet you thought I was just throwing a tantrum?"

She didn't blink, her eyes locked onto his. The pain that she had buried deep inside, came back to the surface. Her vision blurred as her tears welled up freely. She didn't look away again. Her resolve as firm as steel.

Seeing her like this, Felix felt a fleeting pang with guilt. But the guilt disappeared as quickly as it came. He ignored it entirely, completely just as he had done countless times before.

Over the years, he had hurt her many times, and she had always forgiven him. So he saw no reason, why this time should be any different.

He was sure that with a little charm, she would cave, just like she always had. After all, that was how things had always worked between them.

Thinking with that, Felix's anger dissipated replaced by a calm, almost smug smile.

"Willow, alright, I get it. You're upset." he said again. His voice was soft and patronizing, "But you shouldn't be act out like this, see what you've done to our home?

His smile softened and he reached out and placed his hand gently on her shoulder. His touch feigning warm and tenderness, gentle as if he try to calm her down's.

"Come on, be a good girl. You've vented your anger. Don't make scan anymore, okay? How about this? We'll pick another day, a better day, and I promise, I'll give you an even grander, more luxurious wedding. What do you think?

Willow's eyes drawn onto the smile playing on Felix's lips. His words were sweet, but his eyes, those eyes, showed a sickening indifference. He seemed so certainly that she would melt for his act.

Of course, why wouldn't he think that way? This was how it had always been in the past.

Willow gave him a mocking smile. She laughed softly and bitterly.

She had given the man too many chances, and now she was convinced that he didn't need to treat her with any real respect.

Her expression hardened, turning into something cold and heartless. Without a word, she lifted the man's hand as if it was nothing more than an bothersome weight.

"Don't touch me. You disgust me!" She said indifferently.

Felix froze, his eyes widening in shock. He had never heard her tspeak to him like that before.

Her voice was ice, cutting throug the tension in the room as she continued. "Felix, the wedding is over. I have no intention of holding it again. I came here today to move out."

Felix, still stunned by her's rejection. Frowning in confusion, his mind tried to grasp what was happening. "Moving out?"

Willow nodded, her face resolute, "yes, I'm leaving now."

He let out a mocking laugh, as if he had just heard the most absurd joke. "And where do you think you're going?"

He knew full well that Willow had no family to turn to, no one to look after her. Apart from this apartment, she had nowhere else to go.

For the past five years, her entire world had centered around Felix. He was sure she couldn't leave him.

He was sure that her words about 'moving out ' were nothing more than a way for her to make him bend to her wishes.

Shaking his head in disbelief, he opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a voice from behind.

It was Helen.

"Felix, didn't you say you'd be down in a minute after packing? What's taking you you so long?"

Helen's voice echoed throughout the room as she stepped inside, and her eyes fell on Willow standing accros from Felix. Her expression changed in surprise. "Willow, what are you doing here?"

Willow gave Helen Frosty looks. Her voice was icy as she replied. "This my apartment, isn't? Do I need to explain why I'm here? The real question is, what are you doing here?"

Helen looked down, peigning both embarrassement and innocence. "I accidentally cut myself with a fruit knife, and Felix was so worried that he insisted on staying with me for a few days."

Her eyes then shifted to the suitcase beside Willow, and she gasped in dramatically, her hand covering her mouth.

"Willow, what are you doing? Are you upset? Even if you are, this is unwarranted. If you're bothered, you can talk to me. I'll apologize if it makes you feel better. There's no need for all this."

Willow's lips curved into a cold, sly smile as she stepped slowly towards Helen. "Are you really going to apologize? Do you even mean it?"

Helen, who realized Felix was watching, played her part, her voice dripping with false sincerity as she nodded. "Of course, if it can help you, I'll do whatever it takes."

"Alright, then. Why not?" Willow's smile widened, but there was no warmth in her eyes, only cold retaliation. "Since you're so sincere, I think I can help you out."

Without warning, she raised her hand.

A sharp slapping sound split the tension in the room as Willow's palm touched Helen's face, Echoed the finality her last words.
