Question – How does one grow stronger in this world of fantasy?
There are 2 answers.
First answer is the manifestation of the talent, growth, efforts and training.
These manifestation are called [Skills].
These skills are the form of the power that had been created by the creature own efforts or they were an manifestation of their born power.
Skills categories.
Learned skills – Skills that can be learned by efforts and training.
Born skills – Skills that are part of the said being existence, an part of them.
Second answer: Classes and races.
Some beings out there posses something called [Level], with most of those beings referred to as "Monsters".
Monsters are beings that can grow and evolve, reaching new heights.
Simply put, [Race Level] is their body "maturity", Once it hit the limit, the body will be able to undergone evolution, transforming the monsters into the higher being.
But what about the creatures that don't have their own [Race Level]? For example, humans? Do they evolve?
No.
Humans don't have the [Race Level].
However, the lack of the said [Race Level] can be instead replaced with the [Job].
"Job", also known as "class" is an…. "Shape".
A "shape" that allows the person to progress in specific areas, stretching their abilities helping them out learning new abilities. In nutshell, if you wish to develop your archery skills, pick [Archer] class, if you wish to help in develop your farming abilities, pick [Farmer] class and it will help you in developing your "farm" related skills or could possibly help you manifest an brand new skill related to farming.
Those are the two basic explanations about the skills, classes and levels.
Now, here is the question.
Do the dungeon master posses race or a class?
Simply put, class.
Why?
Because dungeon master body isn't an living being that posses an ability to evolve. They are like humans…. But they are also have access to possessing an class.
Now, why is this explained right now?
Well… This.
[You have acquired skill: [Arcane Element Magic: Basic – Level 1].]
The training was completed and the dungeon master had final managed to finish developing his magic.
Arcane Element.
An very basic element that pretty much represent "mana" itself instead of elements like "fire", "water" or "wind", the most basic and simplest element.
However, there was obviously an problem.
Even though the dungeon master had acquired an ability to use magic, it cannot really use it.
Why?
Because of its core.
True, dungeon master core inside his body has a lot of mana, but its body itself needs that mana to operate, it's like blood.
If it runs out of it, it will shut down.
So right now, it cannot really use any proper magic.
However, dungeon master didn't really cared about learning anything big.
All it ever wanted to learn core engravement coding in order to develop his dungeon.
The time for real learning had come…..
But unfortunately, the peace had to come to the end.
"!"
(Invaders.)
The third attack had come.
And this time, it was rabbits once again.
The two rabbits that escaped had returned, alongside 3 other rabbits.
And one more rabbit that was noticeable bigger and had pair of red eyes alongside the set of sharp teeth's.
This monster was an leader of the pack of the rabbits.
And the dungeon entrance, was located right in its territory.
This monster was once an monster by the name horned rabbit before it evolved.
Murder rabbit.
An extremely aggressive monster that is known for fighting nonstop, even fighting in the situation where it should run away.
And this very monster, was quiet pissed off that dungeon popped up on its territory while also killing two of its subordinates.
The reason why it didn't attacked before was because the monsters was out hunting. But as soon as it came back, it instantly went for the dungeon.
And here is the next problem that is extremely obvious.
The dungeon master had yet to do any modifications to it monsters.
Meaning that all of the monsters in dungeon are still "TRASH".
"…"
(Bad.) – though the dungeon monster, as he saw the giant rabbit rushing at the human mannequin, knocking it down with easy, before then easily finishing off the monster with it kicks.
Human mannequins were only an BIT stronger and tougher than regular wooden mannequins.
They could be more dangerous…. However, as said before, its engraved coding was still "trash", meaning that their attacks were easy to dodge and counter.
Not only that, but the dungeon master doesn't have an infinity about of DP points and sacrificing the 2 horned rabbits and 3 adventures doesn't give an 1 000 DP points, there is also the fact that dungeon master also used a lot of points to develop the research and human mannequin use more DP points than wooden mannequin.
In short, dungeon was poor right now and if it were to lose its monsters now, things would get extremely dicey.
So, the dungeon master decided to confront the enemy on its own.
"!?"
But it couldn't.
It couldn't move too far from the dungeon core.
Reason?
The connection between the dungeon master and the dungeon core.
The dungeons, especially very young dungeon, they have not developed or strong enough connection yet, meaning that until the dungeon core grow strong enough to stabilize the connection if not completely remove the range limit, the dungeon master is effectively trapped inside the dungeon and it cannot even more too far away from the core at all.
"…"
(Fuck.)
And so it watched.
It watched as the rabbit pack leader alongside its monster took down still stupid and useless puppets without sustaining too much injuries.
Not only that, but the sheer aggressiveness of the Murder Rabbit.
Its ferocity.
And the deadliness of its fang and horn had stood out, with was noticed by the dungeon master that observed the entire situation.
"…"
(Danger.)
(They will be wiped out.)
Dungeon master realized that its monsters does not stand an chance against these rabbits led by their pack leader.
And considering how the dungeon now lacked in the DP while one of its main sources of miasma is getting destroyed right in front of its eyes….
It definitively pissed.
"Anger".
It was pure anger.
It was pissed off at the monster running its dungeon when it wasn't ready yet.
It interrupted it while it was about to start doing its research.
And it was pissed off since the dungeon master knew it couldn't possibly replace monsters soon since it run out of DP points.
It wanted to murder the creatures that had invaded its dungeon.
And so, it prepared itself while the invaders made their way through the dungeon, slaying each and every human mannequin they had encountered.
"!"
And then finally, the rabbit pack leader alongside it rabbits saw the entrance to dungeon main room – Dungeon master room that was positioned right next to the dungeon core room.
The rabbit monster approached the room and entered it.
But as soon as they did, one of the rabbits were stabbed in the side of their head with an claws, with alarmed the other rabbits and made them leap away, before then starting at the mannequin noble holding an corpse of the just killed rabbit.
Dungeon master removed its claws from the rabbit corpse while the pack leader charged at it, before then leaping at the dungeon master who just stepped aside and then used its claws to stab the creature in the side, only to miss an stab as the rabbit quickly moved and only cause an graze.
"!"
(Fast!)
While the dungeon master was paying attention to the murder rabbit, the other horned rabbit charged in all at once, trying to hit the dungeon master.
However, dungeon master was wary of the attack as it swinged around its arm, knocking back some rabbits, while making some others back off.
"…"
"!"
The dungeon master noticed the pack leader coming from behind, causing the dungeon master to once again dodge to the side as the pack leader leaped past it and rejoined the pack.
"…"
(Small rabbit, less danger. But too many – dangerous.)
(Big one, biggest danger.)
Dungeon master quickly understood the priorities.
The small ones on their own are weak, but if they attack together, then it could pose some trouble.
However, the big rabbit all on its own is enough dangerous.
Without even trying to give an moment of rest, the rabbits all charged at the puppet who tried to hit the leader, only for it to dodge and have the claws stab other rabbit in the face instead, while the leader who had dodged the attack had leaped toward the dungeon boss and stabbed it in the side.
The murder rabbit horn managed to dig deep into the puppet wooden body.
Alongside the leader, some other rabbits also attacked at once, tacking the puppet and making it lose its balance.
But that didn't stopped the puppet.
Its limbs were still okay and it didn't had anything like human organ to protect.
So, it grabbed the pack leader head and then stabbed it in the eye with its claws, causing the giant rabbit to scream and start straight around, moving the puppet body around against its will, while the other rabbits didn't hesitation and launched their own attacks against the puppet, bashing it with their bare bodies or stabbing it with their horns.
However, the dungeon master paid only attention to the pack leader.
Truth to be told, the dungeon master was panicking.
Why?
Because he was surrounded?
No.
It was the pack leader action.
(Curios!)
The dodge and then solid stab had catched the dungeon master completely off guard, it did not expected it all and this also got the dungeon master curios in most wrong time, wondering how it did that.
This time curiosity mixed with shock, resulted in panic, trying to understand how the rabbit did it, this made the curiosity of the dungeon master this time turn against him and resulted in it overthinking.
(How it did it?)
(Why fast suddenly?)
(Why more power?)
(How?)
Curiosity of the creature had awakened in the worst possible timing, with in turn caused the dungeon master to leave itself wide open for the smaller rabbits attacks.
The shock was so surprising that it lasted for an moment, giving the rabbits an second chance to launch their attacks, with in turn snapped the dungeon master out of confusion.
Dungeon master then gaze at the monster and realized something.
(Throat.)
The dungeon master aimed for the throne at stabbed its claws into the trashing around pack leader, with in turn caused the rabbit to get even more violent, with in turn surprised the dungeon master even more as he though it would react the same way the boy did.
However, the dungeon master didn't gave up as it grabbed the throat of the creature and ripped it off.
The blood began gushing out everywhere from the ripped out throat of the monster, even causing it to instantly lose up all the steam and alarming the other rabbit monster that saw what just had happened.
The dungeon master then grabbed the head and the horn of the monster, before then removing the creature and throwing it on the ground.
Even though the murder rabbit is know for its ferocity fighting until death, the wound on its entire neck was more than enough to completely stop the creature in the tracks as it lost blood at alarming rate while the other rabbits just watched in horror.
One of the rabbits tried to back away, but that caused the dungeon master to leap at it and stab it with its fingers, with in turn caused all other rabbits to panic.
Dungeon master tried attacking some of the rabbits, stopping two of the rabbits in tracks as well as the one it just stabbed.
However, the injured rabbit tried to get away, causing the dungeon master to get distracted and allowing the fourth rabbit to run away right underneath the dungeon master nose.
One of the other trapped rabbits tried to get away, but was noticed in the dungeon master who stabbed the creature.
But again, the dungeon master made an stupid mistake of focusing on the monster that tried to escape at the time, resulting in other rabbit escaping.
"…"
The dungeon master felt annoyed and angry.
It let two enemies go…. Still, it managed to 3 rabbits and 1 big rabbit.
However, the dungeon master grown wary.
It understood that it screwed up in more than one way during the fight.
Not only that, but all of the dungeon monsters that were just made to replace the old ones had been destroyed.
With this, the dungeon had completely lost one of its sources of income.
"Panic"
"Fear"
"Annoyance"
(Big rabbit… Strong as the first enemy…. But a lot of small ones with it…. Annoying.)
(What if…. A lot of rabbits come? A lot of big ones come?)
Dungeon master was worried about the future.
It was the second attack done by the rabbits.
What if another rabbit attack come when the dungeon isn't ready?
The dungeon master realized that the big rabbit somewhere strong as the first party of adventures, but the problem was that it didn't came alone.
True, I now knows how to somewhat deals with the rabbits, it knows that their horns are bad news, especially the big rabbit horn, but their throats can be still ripped off.
However, it was worried about something else.
Why was the second attack stronger?
What if more powerful enemies show up?
What if more big rabbits show up?
Fear and worry.
Panic.
….
And then desperation.
Honestly speaking, there was only 1 option that the dungeon master could do right now.
And that was learning about core engravement coding.
However, it wasn't just that.
It understood that it also needed an "upgrade" if it were to fight something stronger or many enemies.
And so, the desperation kicked in and the dungeon master had started it research regarding the core engravement coding.
