Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 Meeting with the family.

"Enterprise, I already told you that I forgive you." I said with a sigh, looking at my wife, who lowered her head.

"But…" I didn't let her say anything and simply pulled her in for a kiss, which she immediately responded to.

"No buts. It's okay, I just wasn't ready, and you shouldn't have found out about it from the Internet. Most of the time, there are trained actors who know what to do." I said, to which she simply nodded.

"Anyway…" I said and looked at my watch, which already showed 1:45 p.m.

"Our room reservation ends in fifteen minutes. Let's go hand over the keys," I said, quickly getting dressed.

In the end, we went downstairs and handed over the room key.

Since we missed breakfast because we woke up late, we decided to have breakfast at the same restaurant…

"It's weird…" I said, looking at the sign that said it was closed.

As far as I remember, this restaurant never closed, and only in case of something important, it could be closed.

"Should I find another restaurant?" my wife asked.

I shook my head and thought for a bit.

"Enterprise, let's go visit my family," I said.

"Are you sure? There's no guarantee that this is your family," my wife said.

"We'll just check… I don't know if this is another world or just an altered reality, but there are too many coincidences with my past life," I said.

In the end, Enterprise found the street we needed…

I just silently looked at the mansion, and couldn't help but squeeze out a sad smile.

This was my childhood home...

The house where Eliza and I grew up before we left the family...

"As far as I remember, the gates were never locked..." I said, and before approaching the gates, Enterprise took my hand.

I just smiled at her, expressing silent gratitude.

And indeed, as always, they were not locked.

Walking past the lawn, I noticed familiar outlines of various objects every now and then, there was even a half-broken vase that Eliza accidentally broke, but I, as her brother, took the blame on myself, and I was punished, but I did not regret it at all.

Approaching the door, I looked again at Enterprise, who simply nodded at me.

And yet, I am amazed at how much Enterprise has changed, from an ordinary AI, to a full-fledged person, in terms of personality.

Gathering my courage, I knocked on the door.

At first, no one answered, but then I heard footsteps and the door opened.

"Good afternoon, do you want something?" the girl asked me.

I froze in place, this girl was quite similar to us. sister, but at the same time different.

Recovering myself, I just smiled.

"Sorry miss, I was just wondering who lives in this house." I said.

The girl looked at us strangely.

"Well… Would you like to come in… miss…"

"Sirin, my name is Sirin." I said, and then looked at Enterprise.

"And this is my wife, her name is Enterprise." I said.

I saw her raise an eyebrow when I said that this was my wife, but I didn't say anything.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Erin Leblanc." She said, extending her hand to us, which we shook.

"Anyway, come in, tea will be ready soon." The girl said.

We simply nodded to her, and entered the mansion.

"Miss Leblanc…" I would have started to say, but she simply stopped me with her hand.

"You can call me Erin." She said.

"Okay. But anyway, Erin, do you live here alone?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Not really, I also have maids living with me." Erin said.

"And your parents?" I asked.

"My father passed away a year ago, and my mother is in America for work. Something to do with colonization in another universe." Erin said.

"My condolences," I said, to which Erin simply waved her hand.

"I wasn't really upset! My dad wasn't a good person or a great father, it was mostly my grandparents' fault. They influenced him." Erin said.

To which I just sighed, as I had no doubt that Erin's father was like that because of her mother and father.

"Actually, I'm glad I didn't, he wanted an arranged marriage, but with his death, all his contracts were cancelled and all the property went to me." She said, continuing to walk.

"What about your mother?" My wife asked.

"I haven't seen her since I was ten. She only sends presents, on holidays, and that's it. So, you could say I don't have a mother either… Although, as it turns out, I have another family." She said.

I raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"What do you mean, another family?" I asked.

"Well, my father had a brother and sister who left the family. I can't say anything about my uncle, because he died early, and there is no information about him, about my aunt… She married another girl, and pretty soon, they had a daughter, who was conceived artificially," said Erin.

So my sister did find a girl with whom she started a family.

"So now, my aunt's daughter and her granddaughter are sitting in my living room," she said.

Well, I didn't expect that…

We arrived in the living room pretty soon. And I was a little surprised because the woman who met us in the restaurant and the waitress who served us yesterday, who is…

Marina's granddaughter…

I knew I had no chance to be with her…

I'm just a little offended now that she didn't say she was a lesbian…

Sigh…

Well, at least I'm glad my sister dated her…

Seeing me, the girl jumped up from the couch.

"That's who I was talking about!" she exclaimed and started pointing her finger.

"Eivor, calm down! It's impolite to point your finger at people." the woman said.

"Sorry," the girl said.

"Eivor, is that the girl who supposedly knew your grandmother personally?" Erin asked in surprise.

"Yes, auntie…" Eivor would have started to say, but Erin stopped her.

"Please don't call me that! We're the same age, and you calling me Auntie makes me feel old." Erin said, to which Eivor simply threw it.

I noticed how the woman, Eivor's mother, looked at me strangely.

"Miss…"

"Sirin, this is my wife Enterprise." I said.

"Miss Sirin… How do you know my mother?" she asked.

I simply sighed…

To be honest, I don't want to lie to them, and even if I tell them, it won't change much.

"Okay, then I'll tell you…" - for the next few hours, I told them in detail about my life, about my death, and about reincarnation, with a change of gender…

"So you want to say that you are my uncle, who died and became a girl, who married her own ship, and became a mercenary? Did I understand everything correctly?" - asked Erin.

"Yes!" - I simply answered.

She put her hands on her face.

"Girlfriend, are you by any chance a drug addict, since I can't explain all the nonsense I just heard in any other way," - she said.

"Yeah, I don't believe it either! Maybe you've read a lot of science fiction books? Who would believe that you were a man and after death you turned into a girl and were transported several decades into the future," - added Eivor.

Well, that's what I expected…

"Do you have ears?" - the woman asked me.

The two girls looked at her, as did I, which surprised me.

"Mom, what are you talking about?" Eivor asked.

She didn't answer, but just continued to look at me.

I just smiled crookedly, and took off my disguise.

Now I appeared before them in my original form, which scared the girls, but the woman just smiled.

"I believe her!" she said firmly, which surprised us all.\

"And why?" I asked, to which she smiled again and reached into her bag, taking out a book…

It was Eliza's diary…

"I can tell from the look in your eyes that you recognize this," she said.

"Mom, what kind of book is this?" Eivor asked

"This is the diary of Eliza's mother, your second grandmother," she said, opening it, and showing it to her daughter.

She opened her eyes and looked at me, and then Erin decided to look too and stared at me too.

"How is this possible…" Erin said in shock.

I was also curious, and before I went over and looked, she unfolded the diary and showed me the drawing I had drawn. On the sheet of paper was clearly drawn a self-portrait of me, the one I am now.

"Mama Marina and Mama Eliza always suspected that you always wanted to be a girl, judging by your drawings." the woman said, to which I simply blushed.

If indeed, to put all the facts together, then it could be like this…

"Then, are you my aunt?" Erin asked, to which I simply nodded softly.

"Damn, I need a drink, otherwise I won't be able to calmly accept that my uncle became an aunt after his death and came back several decades later."

"Yeah, I could use a drink too! This whole story sounds too fantastic," Eivor added.

I wanted to join them, but Enterprise put her hand on my shoulder.

"You can't drink," she said, smiling, but there was a threat behind that smile.

If I disobeyed her, I would be punished.

I looked at Eivor and Erin, who is technically my grandniece and my grandniece, although we look the same age…

Anyway, they were just making fun of me for not being allowed to join them.

Oh well, I'll see when they have someone who will forbid them to drink...

"Eivor and Erin, you can't drink anymore," said the woman, whose name I never learned, except for the fact that she was my niece, although a couple of decades older than me in appearance.

"But mother!" Eivor exclaimed, to which she received a stern look.

"And I'm not your daughter at all..." Erin mumbled.

"Did you say something to Erin?" she asked, to which Erin simply shook her head.

This situation made me chuckle, which turned into a full-fledged laugh, and eventually we all laughed until the maids brought out tea and snacks.

For the next few hours, we just talked about different topics.

Of course, I was sad that my sister was gone, but I hoped that she would be lucky like me and end up in another world. Considering that a truck was to blame for her death... I don't think it was a coincidence...

In the end, I found out that the woman, my niece, was named Catalina, and I'm more than sure that my sister gave her this name, despite the fact that she once had a cat named Catalina... but I'd better not tell her that.

I said goodbye to everyone, although they were still surprised by my whole story, they still believed in it. Of course, I didn't tell them that this world was most likely a different reality, let them think that I was simply transported to the future, in a different body.

And of course, when I left, I couldn't help but notice Eivor's behavior, who, although she tried to hide it, would have been obvious to anyone that she was interested in Eivor.

Although, theoretically, they are a family from the marriage of Marina and Eliza, there is still no blood relationship between them, and nowhere in the papers is it indicated that they are relatives, so for them, anything is possible.

On the other hand, it would be a little strange, given the family hierarchy, then Erin is Eivor's aunt...

Better, I will not bring this up...

Having returned to the ship, which was also in invisibility, the enterprise entered the coordinates of Omega, and then went to my bed.

We did not commit any indecency and simply fell asleep cuddled up to each other.
