After admiring himself for a bit and doing some childish action in the darkness to watch his own reflection reflecting him.
Which certainly created for an entertaining scene when considering his size.
Then he crouched down, thinking for a bit while observing pond of water.
He scooped up a handful of the crystalline water in his hands from the small pond.
The serene atmosphere of tranquility and wonders created by the soft and otherworldly glow of the bioluminescent fungi in the all-consuming darkness was thus finally broken by his simply-minded action.
Meanwhile he stared at the crystal-clear water in his hands with both an expression of amazement and wonder.
However he knew that if he were to drink this water it would be very beneficial to him because of the high concentration of magical energy present in it.
Moreover, as not much time had passed since his birth so the more nutrients he consumes or in this case the more magical energy he absorbs the better.
Nonetheless as he has not reached the level where he can directly absorbed the magical energy present in the atmosphere through his body alone.
He has to use other medium to absorbe the magical energy such as eating or drinking.
While absorbed in his musing suddenly he had a thought causing his eyes to go wide. He stared at the water in his hands, "Am I this sensitive to magical energy that just by touching... No just by looking at the pristine water, I can tell it has enough density of magical energy to both stabilize and further improve my strength!." He said in amazement at the sudden revelation.
Maybe It was also the reason that he was able to sense the alcove from such a distance.
His body must have sensed the high concentration of magical energy in the pond there even before he knew anything.
Furthermore right now, his own body was screaming at him to drink the water like a starved child.
"So.. this is what they call instincts.. Huh!." He mumbled.
"My own body is reacting even telling me to drink the water or that this water is beneficial for me" He said, his voice tinged with amusement. He watched his body reacting to the water in his hand or rather the whole pond with an intrigued expression.
It was such a comical perhaps even weird sight when he watched his very own body screaming at him like a parched man lost in a desert finding an oasis.
However he still didn't drink the water as though wanting to experience more of this new sensation.
Even so, just after 2 minutes the felling became rather uncomfortable.
Thus he finally decided to drink the crystalline water.
And that is what he did.
Although since the water in his had already slipped into the pristine pond. He didn't give it any heed and simply scooped up another handful of it and drank the pristine water in one gulps.
As the pristine water slid down his throat the slight taste of sweetness that assaulted his mouth left him feeling both fascinated and astonished.
Thus he scooped up another handful of water again to drink.
The good things was that the water wasn't poisoned or had anything strong enough in it to harm him. Since he can only sense that the water has high concentration of magical energy however he couldn't tell if the water itself was harmful, poisoned or not.
"It's tastes so good" He spoke in amazement as the second mouthful of crystalline water slid down his throat. The earlier slight taste of sweetness became even strong like someone had mixed honey in it.
"How does it taste so sweet and good." He questioned. Baffled by the wonderful experience.
It was the first time he had tasted the flavour of sweetness after all! No it was the first time he even drank water too.
Combined with the wonderful taste really left him spellbound.
"Perhaps the water is like this because of the high magical energy present in it! Anyways I want to drink more!." Although He really wanted to understand the mystery the crystalline water's wonderful taste. However it was even more important to enjoy the water itself then to waste his time on trying to understand the mystery behind it's sweetness.
He was really straightforward in his priorities.
He put his hands on the boundary of the pristine pond of water and directly submerged his whole head in the water to drink the sweetness and fully realish the wonderful taste.
"Hooh!! Haah!! " He sighed as he finally took his head out of the pristine water.
"That felt good.. " He muttered.
He drank atleast one third of the amount of crystalline water present in the pond.
Nonetheless, the pond itself was quiet big. Like it was about 1 to 2 meters in diameter and half a meter deep. Radiating with a light ethereal glow because of the magical energy and the bioluminescent fungi.
"A crystalline energy rich sweet water really hits the spot." His voice rumbled through the air as he plopped on the side ground.
"Haa!! That felt so nice!! I want to drink more but I don't think I can!! Such a shame" he sighed.
With a non-chalant wave of his hand he pushed the hair sticking on his face and eyes backward. His head was totally soaked in water but he didn't think much of it. His white hair glistening with the water droplets by the dim glow.
After some time...
He stood up and he can feel the magical energy absorbed in his body flowing like an unobstructed river making him feel reinvigorated! refreshed! even energized.
It was a unique even mysterious felling that he didn't know how to describe as if connecting him to something ethereal and profound.
He just stood there staring at the pristine pond of water! Realeshing the feeling of peace and simultaneously becoming stronger!.
The crystalline water itself shimmered with a subtle, yet dim otherworldly light, reflecting the warm glow of the bioluminescent fungi.
Then he finally turned around towards his right side. To see the exit leading out of the cave.
"Well, let's go and see what's outside of these!! walls... " He spoke his voice low.
He observed and looked around the cave for one last time.
"Hah!! Let's go!." He took in a deep breath feeling the air of the place of his origin one last time.
However just as he took the first few steps he faltered and came to a sudden stop.
Then, suddenly as though his legs lost all their strength he tumbled onto the ground!!!
*Thud*
With one knee on the ground and the left hand on the side wall supporting him...
It was like he was paralysed since he found out that he couldn't move at all...
"Wh-" However he could even utter a single word, he heard a strange voice in his head...
Causing his eyes to go wide. Cleary shaken by the strange happenings.
Nonetheless he still manage to voiced out, "Wh..Who!!" his voice quivering.

All of this happening in such a short time frame had really overwhelmed him both mentally and physically.
So, yes! He was sacred sh*t less.
But as time passed his erratic emotions slowly calming down.
Furthermore when the strange voice had completed completed speaking in his head previously.
