Chapter 14 - chapter 14: my first day of new school year (3)

Now that I think about it, Kaguya's frosty face freezing half the class… Chika seeing through my cognitive manipulation… none of this really makes sense in a 'normal' world. But then again, this isn't a normal world—it's an anime world.

With my authority, I can feel it's not quite supernatural in the conventional sense. No, it's more like—an overlay, something like the author's intent shaping reality in little ways. Phenomena that only exist because they're meant to move the story along.

Annoying? No. Dangerous? Not really. My existence sits on a level where these quirks can't touch me. Still… it's strange to live in a world where personality itself can become a force of nature. Maybe that's what makes this world special.

As I was lost in thought, the door opened. Ishigami walked in, slouched as always.

"Yo, President," he muttered, giving me a half-hearted wave.

I gave him a nod in return, nothing fancy—just a simple acknowledgment.

Hmm… Ishigami. In the anime, he was always the misunderstood one. Honestly, he's a good guy—just rough around the edges. Here, he's been handling the council's finances better than anyone could ask for.

I know he's got his heart set on a certain upperclassman, but maybe that's not the only path for him. Who knows—if things play out differently, someone closer might notice him too… like that one girl, Miko Iino.

Lastly, Kaguya arrived with that frosty expression of hers—clearly still annoyed because of my teasing.

But unlike earlier in class, she didn't challenge me again for the role of Student Council President. Instead, she quietly took her seat, her icy aura filling the room.

I can't relax, though. You can't let your guard down around someone like her. That calculating smile, that sharp wit—Kaguya Shinomiya isn't the type to give up. If anything, her silence is more dangerous than her open hostility.

I was expecting something to happen.but surprisingly, nothing happened. No challenges, no drama—just the usual council work. Before long, the day was over, and I found myself sinking into the seat of my limousine, watching the city drift by on the ride home. A quiet end to an otherwise busy and exhausting day.

The first day's already this chaotic… I can't even imagine how much more insane my daily life is going to get.

After getting home, I slipped into a warm shower, letting the steam wash away the weight of the day. I had a hearty dinner that filled me with a comfortable warmth, and by the time I lay down on my bed, the quiet felt almost healing.

Before drifting off, I opened my status panel to check on my current progress.

The underworld had already expanded to cover an entire galaxy, but since only Earth was dense with evil spirits, my strength hadn't skyrocketed—just a steady climb. Not small, but not massive either. A quiet, inevitable kind of growth.

I figured it would stay like this for a while… at least until I integrate my new template of Milim Nava.

And at this rate, it'll take about five more days to fully integrate.

I think I'll shed my mortal skin completely by then and become a spiritual life form. Even now, I count as an evolved human rather than a completely new race.

As for the problem of having children becoming difficult as a spiritual life form, that never crossed my mind. I don't plan to have any children, since only short-lived races need offspring. And I plan to be a immortal.

I don't know about others but, Immortality… endless existence… that's always been my goal. Living limitlessly, untethered by time or mortality— and having endless fun that's the life I want.

In my previous world, it was impossible—but here, it's finally within my reach.

Suddenly, I received a link request from the shadow soldier I had assigned to the Traveller. It seemed he was dead now.

Knowing Ga'an, he must have endured torments far worse than anything hell could conjure. You have no idea how far a father will go for his sons.

I teleported to the underworld and retrieved his soul. I had always wanted to understand what made a Traveller's soul so unique, what gave it its peculiar significance.

Before that, I read his memories through soul manipulation — a task I was fully capable of. As I had anticipated, after some heavy "persuasion," he relayed the memories I had planted as if they were his own.

He believed them entirely — the reason he had killed was only because he thought he was justified.

There was no way I could let anyone else learn about Travellers and their powers. It was better that ordinary people remained ignorant.

Upon examining his soul, I noticed how it differed from the rest. Its quality, though not comparable to mine — mine is continuously evolving — was extraordinary.as for it's soul intensity,I would estimate it to be equal to a million normal souls.

Beyond that, it held immense potential for growth, given the right conditions. However, unlike mine, it could not evolve infinitely in quality only in size; Raphael had confirmed it could reach, at most, a complex multiversal scale.

Interestingly, his soul contained a nucleus of the Template System — the essence of his Assassin Template. It originated from a professional world where individuals awaken professions according to their aptitude. Rather than conventional skills, it contained techniques listed as skills. How fascinating.

My strategy had proven correct: rather than randomly drawing from the multiverse, it was far more efficient to bind a world and extract key templates directly from it.

Without any hesitation, I squeezed out the last of his usefulness. Using Beelzebub, I devoured his soul, extracting all his powers, purifying it, and using it as a fertilizer for my own.

By tomorrow, I might reach 6-A in tier and begin forming my own world using the World Core Formation and Stabilization talent I extracted from the World Tree Seed. Contented with what I had gained, I slept peacefully, filled with the excitement of having my very own world.
