Chapter 3 - Chapter III

14th of November 1925, 8:25 p.m. York St. London, United Kingdom.

Colton unlocked the front door before he held the door for his twin who was holding injured Cameron. They walked straight to the sitting room area before he sat Cameron down. "I will go get the needed potions.." Colton spoke as he quickly walked to the kitchen and started to go around the kitchen, Eithne who was placing stuff away heard the rummage that came from the kitchen. Thinking that someone broke into her cousin's house, She got her wand out to protect herself as she quietly approached the kitchen.

Meanwhile Colton was in the kitchen rummaging through the potions and found the needed potions. "Found it" Colton whispered to himself , He turned to leave the kitchen and all of the sudden Eithne jumped pointing her wand at the intruder's neck unaware it was Colton who suddenly screamed when Eithne jumped him. "Oh dear heavens,Eithne!!" Colton grabbed his chest as he leaned against the door frame ,Eithne jumped back a little. "I'm so sorry, Colton! I thought someone broke into the house!! Here let me help you" She apologized as she helped her cousin leading him to the sitting room area. Salman heard the commotion that happened. Confused, he turned to see his twin and his cousin walking in the room together. "If you don't mind me asking you two," He started before he spoke again. "What exactly just happened and why did my brother just scream like a bloody woman?" Salman looked at his twin and his cousin before Colton sat down. "Eithne jumped me like a bloody assassin!" "I heard rummaging in the kitchen and thought there was an intruder-" Both Colton and Eithne spoke at the same time before Colton turned to Eithne. "A bloody intruder?! Why would a bloody intruder rummage through the kitchen at half past eight at night for Enyo's sake!?" Colton boomed as Eithne blushed embarrassingly. "I-I don't know!! I heard from some ladies at the shop that some thieves rummage through kitchens and steal stuff!!!" Eithne exclaimed as she was standing there, Colton shot up from his seat looking at Eithne.

"What kind of thieves in their right mind would go rummaging through a kitchen?! Ohh, are your pots and pans made of gold and silver?" Colton mocked before he looked at her and leaned in a few inches away from her face. "Because news flash darling! she's allergic to silver and gold!!!" Colton exclaimed as he pointed at his sister whom she and Salman were glaring at the two arguing. "Colton..How dumb can you fecking be for mother's sake?!" Salman hissed at his brother who was quite confused. "Honsetly Colton have you ever tried to use your damn mind for once!?" Cameron glared at her brother. "Eh??" Colton was confused. "I don't understand what you mean?" Colton asked as he leaned back and looked at them. "The Silverware, Colton!" Cameron and Salman yelled, Colton realized. "Ohhh..The silverware..But wait a damn minute..You are allergic to silver!?" Colton looked at his sister. "The silverware is made of platinum , Colton!! They're much rarer than silver and damn gold!!" Cameron spanned as she was sitting there before she pinched the bridge of her nose.

Salman got up and took the potions from Colton before he sat down next to Cameron on her chaise lounge. "This might hurt but I recommend that you relax completely.." Salman muttered as she nodded, He placed some drops of painkiller potion on her injured leg before he sighed. "Vulnus sanguinis resanatio" Salman casted the healing spell as all the damaged nerves started to appear on her leg under her skin, Cameron grabbed onto the chair next to her with a tight grip, Her knuckles started to go white from her grip. Slowly her injury healed nicely yet it was quite painful, slowly the pain started to fade and everything started to be normal.

"That should do it.." Salman muttered as he was sitting there looking at his sister. "Thank you,Sal.." Cameron smiled a little at her younger brother before she moved her leg a little before she got up and stepped on it gently. Salman stood up and fixed his suit jacket. "Well then..I think it's time for me and Orion to leave to let you rest..His mother would go mad if he's not home by now." Salman mentioned as he was standing there looking at his sister then at his cousin before he finally looked at his twin. "Yeah, Same here." Colton started as he was standing there. "You know how Saoirse is highly protective of Lewin…" He added. Cameron struggled a little as she limped to her brother. "Alright then..Eithne could help them get the boys from upstairs..?" Cameron asked calmly, Eithne nodded and smiled gently. "Yes, of course." Eithne replied before she led the brothers upstairs to take their siblings.

After that, Salman and Colton said their goodbyes and went to their houses. Cameron went upstairs to tuck in the boys in their bed, Eithne leaned against the wall by the boys bedroom door. Cameron quietly walked out and closed the door behind her, Eithne pushed herself off the wall before she walked towards her. "Do you need anything,Cam?" Eithne asked quietly, Cameron smiled softly and she nodded. "Nae..Thank you, Edna," Cameron replied quietly as she stood there. "Very well, I'll come by tomorrow like usual after my shift at the shop, 'ight?" Eithne added as Cameron nodded okay.

Eithne grabbed her belongings before she hugged her cousin goodbye and left, Cameron locked the door behind her. Cameron went and closed the lights around the downstairs floor. She sauntered her way back near the sitting room area, took off her coat and hung it by the door before walking in the sitting room. She poured herself a glass of neat whiskey before she sat down on her chair with her whiskey glass in hand as she was lost in thoughts. The soft light from the fireplace reflected in her grey eyes.

She took a sip from her glass, the amber liquid had a slight burning sensation while she was sitting there. "Aren't you going to investigate the scene…?" A voice asked softly, Cameron looked up to see a white snake looking at her as it was on the arm of her arm chair before it slither and wrapped itself around her hand. "Sadly no,Ciro..But I'll go tomorrow morning…" Cameron replied as she was looking at the white snake, She looked around for a moment before she looked back at the snake. "Where is Atreus?" Cameron asked while she was looking at the white snake.

"He's keeping an eye on the boys…Thought I could keep you company.." Ciro replied to Cameron's question. "Hmm..Well then.." She muttered. Cameron was looking at the snake before she lost in thought for a bit. "Is there something on your mind..?" Ciro asked curiously as Cameron looked at Ciro. "I think I'll pay someone a little visit..Keep on my unconscious self.." Cameron added as she was looking at the fireplace.

14th of November 1925, 10:17 p.m. Downing St. London, United Kingdom.

"They said they found Sir Lonan Addams' dead body in a bad condition…" Albert stated while he leaned against the door frame with his arms crossed on his chest meanwhile Rupert was analysing the whole destroyed sitting room area before he got his wand out. "mimetismo de la escena." Rupert casted the mimicry spell which a soft blueish light appeared from his wand making almost a holographic imitation of the destroyed sitting room area. Albert whistled at what Rupert did. "My my, You always amaze me with these spells.." Albert muttered as he pushed himself off the door frame and his arms fell next to his sides. "Does Sir Addams have any history of any kind of abuse of some sort..?" Rupert asked quietly, he stood there looking at the imitation he had created. "He had two charges of domestic abuse over his two ex-wives and had been dealing with substance abuse of some sort according to some sources" Albert mentioned as he was standing there.

Rupert's eyes narrowed when Albert told him these things as he walked around a little. "Cheif Evans, We finished taking Lady Addams and the child out to the ambulance, and we'll take them to St. Thomas' Hospital…you may proceed to check the crime scene.." The ambulance attendant stated before he walked out leaving the scene. Albert gave the attendant a nod of acknowledgment. "Lead the way,Al" Rupert turned to look at him. Albert started walking down the hall before he went up the stairs, Rupert was following him up the stairs. Once they were upstairs it was in a much worse condition,Alot of broken glass and moved furniture. They walked quietly down the hall, the sounds of glass crushing under their feet as they walked. Once they reached Sir Lonan's study, The whole room was a complete mess. Albert looked around before he was shocked to see the scene. "Dear lord…" Albert whispered as he motioned the sign of the cross when he saw the crime scene. "What? What's wrong,Albert?" Rupert asked before his eyes widened in surprise from what he saw. "Lord…" Rupert stepped back a little, He brought his small necklace cross out of his pocket before he held it tight in his free and did the motion of the sign of cross.

On the wall upon them. Sir Lonan Addams dead body crucified with a dagger and Sir Lonan's wand pierced through both the palms of his hands up on the wall with his throat slit open and the dagger that slit his throat still there. Blood of the deceased was dripped down onto the floor. The smell of the metallic blood was heavy and noticeable all around the room.

Written on the wall with the blood of the deceased. "The darkest pit of hell has opened to swallow this sinner whole.". "The darkest pit of hell has opened to swallow this sinner whole…??" Albert muttered, repeating what was written on the wall. "The fuck that supposed to mean..?" "Perhaps…The ripper is talking about Sir Lonan's previous abuses…?" Rupert turned to look at Albert. "Possibly…" They looked at each other before looking up at the dead that's in front of them. Rupert swung his wand casting the spell of mimicry that made holographic imitation of the destroyed study room.

Albert looked around before something caught his eye, a broken book shelf. Then he looked back at where they found Lizzie Addams. "Mid arguing with his wife, He pushed her towards his book shelf and broke it…Look" Albert mentioned as he pointed where he was talking about. "Pushed her? It looks as if he threw her towards it..?" Rupert responded as he was looking at where his friend was talking about. "I think we should let Mrs.Starling check it out…" Rupert suggested as Albert looked at him. "I will contact her tomorrow but we should at least look around for any clues to how it happened." Albert responded before they went on with their investigation.

On one of the roofs. The man in black cloak was watching the police and the detectives , behind him the injured minion and a woman also in a black cloak. "It's a little gruesome there…But great job.." The man muttered as he praised the injured man while he was checking the black soul crystal before placing it in his pocket "If we didn't strike Lady v. Starling she would've caught you" The man turned and glanced at the injured man before at the woman who's healing the injured man. "Take him back,I'll go finish some other business.." The man commanded the woman as nodded. "Yes, sir" The woman replied before her and the injured man teleported away.

The man in black cloak teleported to york street. He looked at one of the windows, Spying on Cameron who was opening a portal while talking a woman with a sorta angelic form with a white mantilla veil covering the upper half of her face, She was wearing a regal and ethereal full-length gown in white and gold, featuring a striking gold corset, flowing wide sleeves with gold lining, and delicate chain embellishments. It exudes an elegant, fantasy-inspired aesthetic with intricate details and a luxurious feel giving her an angelic look.

The man looked at her from a far. "We shall meet again…Little lady.." The man muttered under his breath before he disappeared. The angelic looking woman saw something in the corner of her eye once Cameron walked into the portal. "I swear I saw someone…" She muttered under her breath before a man with a unique black mesh mask that covers their face and has pointed, wing-like features at the top wearing a long, dramatic black coat that flows down to the ground. Underneath the coat, they are wearing a dark outfit with silver accents and multiple long, layered silver necklaces. "Ciro,Darling" The man called softly before he stepped into the room. "Is everything alright..?" He asked her gently before he stepped close to her and gave her a hand. Ciro was looking at the window a moment before she looked up at the man. "I'm fine, don't worry..Atreus" She responded quietly before she took her hand and stood up.

15th of November 1925, 6:58 a.m. Downing St. London, United Kingdom.

The black Rolls Royce Phantom pulled up near the downing street stopping behind a huge crowd of news reporters demanding to know what happened.Cameron took a deep breath before she got out of the car and started walking towards them to enter the crime scene. Some news reporters saw Cameron. "Detective v. Starling!!!" The reporter yelled as they walked towards her.

"Tell us what happened in the scene!!"

"Come on,Detective v. Starling! When did the crime happen!!"

"Why do you think the ripper went after Sir Lonan Addams and his family!!"

"How do you feel about the ripper being on the loose!!"

The reporters asked all of these questions to her as she ignored and walked past the police officers to the scene. Albert was talking and discussing something with an officer before the officer walked away, Albert turned and to see Cameron just arrived. "Cameron," Albert called her. "I hope that you are doing well now" "Much better than before actually.." Cameron responded to his question. "So is the scene that bad..? Heard people on the street talking and saying it's pretty gruesome.." Cameron asked quietly before Albert nodded. "Pretty gruesome and...unsettling.." Albert responded calmly as she nodded quietly and thought for a moment before she was looking around and two peculiar figures walking with Rupert. It was father Frederic Reyes and a slightly dark skinned nun.

Cameron had an uneasy feeling as she frowned a little. "And what is he doing here..?" Cameron whispered as she was looking at the priest and the nun who were walking behind Rupert. Albert looked at her before up at them. "I called him in to understand something..Just don't go over your line,Cameron.." Albert responded to Cameron before he walked towards them, Cameron sighed before she followed behind Albert. "Ah Father Frederic Reyes, Pleasure seeing you again.." Albert said as he shook the priest's hand. "It's quite the pleasure,Chief Evans, I hope you don't mind. I brought my assistant Mother Dolores Oakes.." The priest introduced as the woman nodded respectfully yet politely before her eyes lingered on Cameron then at the other detectives. "Pleasure to meet all of you.." Dolores smiled nicely at them.

"Pleasure to meet you too." Albert responded calmly, Cameron on the other hand only nodded curtly before she nudged Albert. "Shouldn't we go investigate, Chief Evans." She stated while she was standing there. "You sure are devoted to your work, Ms. Starling." Dolores smiled before Cameron looked at her. "It's Chief v. Starling, Thank you very much Mother Oakes." Cameron smiled sourly before she turned and started walking. "Blackwood lead the way." Cameron commanded Rupert who was surprised before he cleared his throat. "Yes, Ma'am" He responded before he walked briskly towards her and started guiding her to the crime scene. Albert followed behind them with Father Reyes and Mother Oakes.

Cameron garbled annoyingly which caught the attention of Rupert. "Is everything alright..?" Rupert asked her gently, She sighed. "Albert doesn't want to understand that these people have a very bad energy and they make me just uncomfortable and…as if they know me and I don't know…I just.." She huffed while standing there, Rupert stood there before he took a step forward. As he was about to speak Albert walked in, Rupert cleared his throat.

They went upstairs to the crime scene to inspect the scene. Cameron was surprised to see the gruesome scene in front of her but it didn't really faze her meanwhile when the priest and the mother were slightly horrified and yet surprised at the scene. "Oh dear lord…" The priest looked at the scene alongside the mother before they motioned the sign of the cross, Cameron walked deep in the room checking everything in it before looking back at the body. "The ripper killed him in a form of punishment back during the roman empire..weird." Cameron muttered as she was looking at the body that was hanging there, Mother Oakes turned to look at Cameron who was looking at the body before Cameron got her gloves out to investigate. "Mrs- I mean Chief v. Starling, It might sound rude but…Are you christian?" Mother Oakes asked gently yet politely, Cameron stopped momentarily before she looked at her. "No,Why are you asking?" Cameron responded as she looked at the mother with a stern look.

"Well…religiously speaking the way Sir Addams was killed might be also biblically referencing to our lord and savior the son of god.." Mother Oakes clarified to her as she was looking at Cameron who was standing there, She was about to respond but stopped herself and looked at Mother Oakes. "I won't argue nor discuss anything with any of you or gods so help me if anyone speaks any religious talk I won't hesitate to leave." Cameron announced before she went on doing her work and investigating and everyone stayed quiet.

Later after Cameron gathered the needed information she needed. She felt a gaze that was following her but when she turned around she noticed everyone was quietly discussing something. "I got what I need..Tell them to get the body down and send it to the Royal London Hospital at Whitechapel" Cameron added as she took off her gloves before she excused herself and left. "Cameron, wait a moment" Albert called for her before he approached her. "What was that all about earlier??" He asked her sternly as they strolled down the hall towards the stairs. "That's none of your business and I recommend you don't get them around me any more…" Cameron responded as she was going down the stairs. "No, Cameron. It's my business.." Albert grabbed her arm stopping her from going anywhere.

She turned and stared at him blankly. "Your business??" Cameron questioned him as she pulled her arms from his grasp. "Cameron,You're my friend and I know you greatly dislike them but it's to keep an eye out Reyes…He might be a target…" Albert mumbled as he was focused on her expression, Cameron rolled her eyes as she glanced away. "Whatever, I'll go, I have business to finish." Cameron looked at him as she wore her black gloves. "I'll meet you at the office." She strode off. Albert was about to call her before he stopped himself, he ran his hand through his hair then he turned around and climbed up the stairs and found the priest blessing the place as Albert asked with Rupert's supervision.

"I must thank you again and sincerely apologise about Chief v. Starling.." Albert apologized to what happened as he strolled with the priest next to him ,they climbed down the stairs. "It's fine,I can notice that she's pretty dedicated to her work..I can understand her frustration on finding the ripper,I wish her and all of you well.."The priest responded with a polite smile. "I think we should be off now,I hope everything will be alright with your investigation." The priest added before him and Mother Oakes were escorted by Rupert to their carriage that was provided by the church. Rupert then made his way back to Albert who Rupert found deep in thought with a cigar in hand. "Everything all there, Al??" Rupert asked his friend as Albert turned to his friend. "Everything is alright, just thinking…" Albert replied before patting his friend's shoulder. "We should really get going and wrap everything." He added as Rupert nodded agreeingly. "Yeah we should." Rupert responded before they walked away.

Meanwhile Cameron on the other hand was reviewing what she noticed around the scene, As she was lost in thought she had a terribly bad feeling in her guts when she saw the priest and the mother yet she tried to avoid thinking about the situation while she was thinking, She leaned back in the back of the car,Cameron looked out of the window thinking as she noticed a murder of crows which was around thirteen crows flying together which meant to beware of the devil himself in some saying, She thought about before arriving to york street.

She got out of the car still lost in thought before she climbed up the stairs then opened the door. "Boys, I'm hom.." She slowly paused as she noticed the house was eerily quiet, she slowly walked in. "Stellen…?Cassius…?" She called for the before she closed the front door behind her. Cameron started to worried but kept her cool as she got her wand out, She quietly check all around the rooms then suddenly she started sensing movement around her which she keeping her guard up as she was looking around , Then suddenly a soft melody which sounded eerie started to get louder around her, Cameron's eyes slowly started to widen making her slowly panic at the melody. "No…" She breathed, her breathing was shaky and she slowly started to feel dizzy. Her vision started to get blurry as the melody started louder and louder, almost deafening her. "Lady…" A voice called Cameron. "No…" She nodded her head as she turned to look where she heard the voice. "Darling lady…" The voice called, Cameron's eyes widened even more as she covered her ears with her hand. "No…No..!! Leave me alone!!" Cameron yelled.

"You can't escape me..Lady.." The voice spoke. Cameron tried denying that voice before she suddenly felt sharp pain all over her body, Blood started seeking through her clothes as the voice started to get louder. Cameron was covering her ears tightly. "No…!No…Stop!!! NO" Cameron screamed before suddenly everything went black.

15th of November 1925, 11:47 a.m.,Great Scotland Yard, Westminster St. , United kingdom.

Albert and Rupert were working like usual before suddenly a knock was heard on the door of their office, "Come in" Albert answered the door before a nice tall muscular man with pale skin, dark green eyes and black slick back hair. "Good morning, Albert.."The man spoke with a smirk before she turned to look at Rupert with slight disgust. "And good morning to you too,you half caste.." The man had slight disgust in his tone which annoyed Rupert but he didn't pay any attention. "Williams, Behave your arse for feck sake" Albert hissed at Thomas who turned to look at him before rolling his eyes. "Yeah,Yeah, whatever" Thomas responded as he sat down in the chair in front of Albert's desk. "Besides what are you doing here??" Albert asked as Thomas looked at him with a smug look.

"I came here to meet that mysterious detective Cameron v. Starling, I heard he's a pretty stern man and from a well known pure born family.." Thomas started as he leaned back in his chair. "So I thought I could meet the gentleman as a fellow pure born, we could get along and I could work with him unlike some people…" Thomas added, his tone had quite a lot of disgust and sarcasm as he looked at Rupert who was working. Thomas sneered at the detective behind him before he rose up from his chair and looked at the detective. "What's wrong, Rupert?" Thomas asked in a mocking tone while looking at the detective. "Cat got your tongue?" He sneered while standing there before Rupert looked at him with an annoyed expression and ignored Thomas to focus on his paper work, Thomas was annoyed that Rupert ignored him.

"Williams" Albert hissed at him while glaring at the proud man. "What?" Thomas spoke sarcastically as he placed his hand on his hip as he was standing there. "I'm just wondering if he's alright but he's not responding to me" Thomas looked at Rupert who was ignoring him and working normally. Thomas rolled his eyes as he ran his hair over his slicked hair before looking at Rupert then at Albert. "At some point he'll be begging for my forgiveness when I become close with Chief Cameron v. Starling, might ask him to move the case to my investigating team," Thomas assured with pride laced with his voice as he was glancing at Rupert.

Albert was glaring at him before noticing someone behind the proud man. "And what else if you do mind me asking..?" A slight deep voice yet feminine tone, The proud man was surprised to hear the voice behind him before he looked at her. "Well,Well,Well…What do we have here…" Thomas murmured as he looked at her from head to toe. "And who are you, pretty miss?" "Cheif Cameron v. Starling, The man that you think could befriend me and harassing my detective" She hissed at Thomas whose expression went pale once he realized the Cameron v. Starling isn't a man but actually a woman.

"Ch-Cheif Starling!!" Thomas stepped back with hesitation , His tone was nervous and shaken. "I never meant anything bad!!" The proud man stammered , Cameron looked at the proud man with disgust and disappointment before she moved to her seat and sat down looking at him. "Never meant anything bad? From what I heard and saw, I can see why you were moved from the first division crime investigation team.." Cameron leaned back in her seat as her gaze was piercing through his soul. "And for your great disrespect towards Detective B. Blackwood and harassment towards the gentleman who actually works hard to earn his higher positions not like you , a man standing flirting with women for his own pleasure and letting others do his work.." She stated before she continued. "I can see why you were moved from the ministry of magic board and two different divisions for your demeanor and behavior about your position in this society." Cameron glared at him with her grey eyes.

The man was standing feeling humiliated for what is being told about him that non of the other men knew about. "As the first degree chief superintendent of this department I expect you to go finish your bloody work and hand them to me yourself for me to check them fairly inspect every detail and mistake," She stated while looking at him. "And also I would like you to write a public apology for every single person you had disrespected and harassed including Detective B. Blackwood to be done within the following week or I'll be moving you to the third division team.." Cameron was straight forward with her warning which surprised Rupert, Thomas was surprised when she told him she'll move him. "Move me?? You can't do that, you aren't my direct superior!!" Thomas bricked before Albert cleared his throat.

"I may be your direct superior but she's my higher superior being a first degree chief superintendent while I, myself, still a second degree chief superintendent." Albert stated before he went on. "She has every right to move you from your current position if her orders haven't been completed within the following week." He looked at the man who was in shock and surprise. Thomas clenched his jaw in annoyance at what he just heard but kept his composer and looked at Cameron. "Yes, Chief Starling." He grumbled before he turned on his heels and left the office with frustration and annoyance.

Rupert was in great shock at all that just happened as he was left speechless. "I just don't know what to say, Madam Starling." Rupert was amazed by what just happened. "You don't have to say anything, Blackwood, I just do what I have to do…I won't allow anyone to disrespect or harass anyone who is in my team, including you." Cameron smiled before Rupert smiled a little. "Thank you, Madam Starling." Rupert thanked her as she nodded before answering. "Of course." Albert looked at Cameron as he noticed she looked rather tired and way paler than the normal. "Cameron, Are you alright?" He asked curiously before he added. "You look oddly under the weather today compared to earlier this morning, did something happen??" Albert asked with concern laced within his curious tone as Cameron looked at him, She thought for a little before she leaned forward in her seat. "Nothing really, just haven't slept well and have been thinking quite a lot about this case.." Cameron responded before she smiled a little. "But don't worry, Al, Everything's fine" She reassured her friend who didn't really believe that she's fine but took her word for it. "Well then.." He added before having a random thought come across his mind.

"Say, Cameron..?" Albert asked

"Hm? Yes?" Cameron answered.

"Where have you been since morning? It's almost past noon?" He asked with curiosity, She leaned on her side on the chair while looking at him. "I had some private business to attend to, why is there something that matters?" Cameron stared at Albert with a neutral expression which he really couldn't get anything from her expression before leaning back on his seat and crossing his legs. "Fine then.." He murmured before he glanced at the time to see it's 12:15 in the afternoon, Albert got up from his seat and grabbed his suit jacket.

Albert wore his suit jacket and fixed it before he walked grabbing his long coat and hat. Cameron looked at him. "Where are ya heading at?" She asked as she eyed him from head to toe, Albert looked at her as he held his long coat on his arm and had his hat on. "Meeting Miss Mayfield, I couldn't reach her so I'm heading to inform her about something personal between me and her that doesn't mean anything to you" Albert responded to Cameron's question before she leaned on to her side and rested chin in her hand. "Is it about your secretive special date with her?" She smirked teasingly.

Albert became surprisingly flustered, his cheek had a bright red color as he tried to gather his composer. "It's not your business Cameron!!" He hissed at her embarrassingly as she nodded. "Mhmm…" Meanwhile Rupert was acting as if he was working and holding himself from laughing. Albert looked at his friend then at her before he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I had enough of you two,I'm leaving" He started to march towards the door, as he was grabbing the door handle. "Have a good time with her, Albert." Cameron chuckled before he shot his head glaring at her. "Feck you!!" He clenched his jaw before he suddenly opened the door, Rupert burst out laughing as Albert slammed the door behind him. "Bunch of amateurs for feck's sake…" Albert muttered as he strolled down the hallway.

15th of November 1925, 12:47 p.m. The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel St. London

Anne-Mari was working normally around the hospital, Penelope was looking around for someone before finding the one she needed. "Anne-Mari, Someone wants to see you outside really quick" Penelope called out for her as she was chuckling a bit before running out of the room. She was confused at what was happening as she finished her current task in hand before she walked outside at the hospital entrance and found Albert standing there hold a nice bouquet of red roses.

"Chief Evans!!" Anne-Mari called as she was surprised. Albert turned on his heels to look at her. "Miss Mayfield,Sorry for my sudden appearance but I had tried to contact you but I wasn't successful ,I hope I hadn't arrived at a busy hour" Albert spoke, his tone was gentle and kind much nicer than with anyone else, Albert gently handed Anne-Mari the bouquet. "And these are for you, love, I hope you like them." Albert murmured as he was looking at her, Anne-Mari had a faint blush on her cheek when she took the bouquet from him. "Those are very lovely,Chief Evans,You shouldn't have bothered yourself!" She looked at him and found him smiling gently.

Both of them took a small stroll around. "Say, Anne-Mari.."Albert murmured as he strolled slowly, his long legs slowly eating the steps as he was trying to follow her pace. "Y…Yes?" Anne-Mari gazed at him with a soft gaze. "About our date night…" Albert stopped in his track with his hands in his pockets before she paused in her tracks. Right when he spoke about that, Anne-Mari looked at him. "You would like to cancel it?" Anne-Mari asked calmly as she was looking at him, Albert was ashamed and couldn't look her in the eye at all. "Sadly..The case of Sir Lonan Addams is quite…a different one this time and it'll require my attention for a bit especially when we have an eye witness who is still in the hospital and surprisingly this time the ripper hasn't killed the wife nor the child…" Albert stated as he pulled his hands from his pockets.

Anne-Mari looked at him, expression softened as she nodded quietly.

"It's understandable, this case does sound quite…Hurtful' She muttered as she was holding the bouquet of roses in her hand, her grip tightened a little while she was looking at him. Albert noticed that as he walked up to her and cupped her face in his hands. "Oh darling,I don't mean,I just mean I'll be in a tight choke hold that's all" Albert spoke gently to her as she looked up at him with her face all cupped in his hands which made her look adorable yet funny which made him chuckle a little. "Doesn't mean,I won't stop sending you stuff," Albert added as he caressed her cheek. "You don't have to,It's fine…really" Anne-Mari murmured while looking at him before he chuckled a little.

"No, really,I insist on sending them." Albert murmured calmly before he gave her a small peck on her forehead, before he pulled back. "I better go now…I hope I didn't bother you from your work.." Albert added as he was looking at her, Anne-Mari looked at him. "Oh, Alright then…Take care,Darling.." She spoke shyly as she hid her shy smile behind the bouquet which made him chuckle. "You too, sweetheart" He winked before he walked away as she quickly walked in through the staff door, she was excitedly happy about how sweet Albert can be.

As Albert was walking, he came across Janett-Mary Mayfield. "Ah Chief Albert Evans" Janett-Mary smiled gently before Albert took off his hat respectfully, bowing his head a little to his lover's sister before wearing his hat. "Miss Janett-Mary,Nice seeing you…I was just dropping off something for Anne-Mari.." Albert trailed off a little before he looked at her a little nervous. "I hope you don't mind" He added as he was standing there before she smiled. "No,not at all…As long as she's happy,I'm fine with it." Janett-Mary responded before she remembered something.

"By the way,How's Miss Cameron..?" Janett-Mary asked calmly which made Albert confused. "She's…Fine, I think? Why did something happen to her earlier..?" Albert responded to her question with a question. Janett-Mari nodded. "She came in all injured and bloody,it was a mess,I had to re-stitch some of her injuries…" She murmured which made the man's expression go surprised by what Janett-Mary revealed to him.

Cameron and Rupert were standing by the cork board that was completely filled with many photos, notes, evidence & etc. before suddenly the office door opened, and Albert walked in. "No, I don't think so, The ripper is much smarter than to do what he did in Sir Addams case but in Murphy and Johnson cases he meant to do this.." Cameron looked at Rupert who thought a bit. "Then why did his minion do what he did to Sir Addams but when it came to the two before him, He just used that projectile spell…Maybe either one they knew who he is or a personal issue..?" Rupert trailed off a little as he faced her before Albert cleared his throat.

Both of them turned to look at him, "Welcome back,Al…We were discussing the case..Did everything go well??" Cameron asked calmly as she had her arms crossed over her chest before she turned to look at him. "Yeah, everything went alright, thankfully she understood my reasoning and we'll try to keep in touch," Albert walked in as he took off his long coat and hat before he hung them on the coat hanger. "I also came across Janett-Mary today." Albert added before he sat down on his seat, Cameron tensed up a bit but kept her cool.

"That's nice.." Cameron replied as she moved back to her seat, Albert nodded slowly as he looked at her before he looked up at Rupert. "Ay,Rup..Gatlin finished the document you needed" Albert leaned back in his seat ,Rupert's brows went up a bit.

"Great, I'll go fetch it," Rupert replied.

" 'Ight, could you also fetch me that document from J. Juno" Albert asked politely.

Rupert nodded agreeingly before he walked out of the room leaving them alone. "Janett-Mary told me about the blood.." Albert lit a cigar for himself, Cameron pretended like she didn't know as she was tidying up her desk. "I don't know what you are talking about…" She replied as she placed everything in its file before she stood up and walked towards the equipment cabinet ,placing the files back in its place.

Albert rose up from his seat and ambled towards her as Cameron was putting the file in the right order, he leaned against the equipment cabinet. "Cameron…What happened?" He asked with concern laced with his stern tone, without looking at him she responded to him. "I don't know what you are talking about.." She hasn't removed her eyes from the files and acting as if she was looking for something, Albert raised his left brow with quiet amazement at her acting skills. "Cameron, can you look at me.." He asked calmly while looking at her, she didn't bother looking at him before he reached her chin and forced her to look at me. "I asked and you didn't compile so…I had to do it myself." Albert added as he was looking at her, his light blue eyes were piercing through her grey eyes.

Cameron pushed his hand off her chin as she looked at him. "Now, can you tell me why you went to the hospital…?" Albert asked, his concern appeared on his expression and tone, Cameron thought for a moment. "Nothing…It's just…some wounds I had reopened and I needed Janett-Mary to do it for me.." Cameron responded while standing there before she paced towards her desk before she had a sharp pain which struck her in her stomach. She grunted as she leaned against her desk, her hand gripped her stomach in pain.

"Cameron!" Albert walked quickly towards her. "It's fine…It's fine…That's just the side effects of the potion…" "Then come and sit…here let me help you.." He murmured before he gently helped her sit down as he stood there ,concerned, for his closest friend. Cameron leaned her head back as she sighed. "Aughh…" She grunted while she was looking up at the ceiling.

While Albert was helping Cameron to at least help her lessen the pain just like how she used to help meanwhile Rupert was looking for Ms. Nina J. Juno, He was looking around before he found the dark haired woman while she was talking with other women in the office. "Juno!" Rupert called her as she looked at him. "Ah B. Blackwood" Nina smiled a little as she looked at him from head to toe. "How can I help you..?" She asked calmly while looking at him. "Albert asked me to bring the documents that he needed." Rupert replied to her question before Nina's smile turned into a slightly annoyed expression.

"Oh…Yeah, right" Nina added as she walked to her desk ,she looked around her desk before she found the file for him, Nina turned on her heels and handed it to him. "Here ya go" She said as Rupert took it from him calmly and checked it. "Looks pretty good.." Rupert smiled a little before he looked at her. "That's good," Nina replied with a slight smile before she remembered something. "Say, Blackwood…How's that..Starling..?" Nina asked quietly as she crossed her arms, Rupert was quite confused as he knew if he said anything Nina could spread rumors. "She's fine,a pretty good leader in the case." Rupert replied to her question as he trailed off, His mind was trailing off a little before he snapped back to reality and noticed that Nina had a feeling that something is going on.

Rupert tensed a little before he looked at her. "Why are you looking at me like that..?" He asked as he knew from that smug smile on Nina's face will get in great trouble. "Do you like her,Blackwood?" Nina asked in a hushed tone so he could only hear her. Sweat beads slowly started to form on his forehead while he was standing there looking at her. "What? No…No…She's my superior's superior and I would never like her romantically, Although I greatly admire her way of thinking and leading on the case." Rupert stated as he was looking at her with a tensed stern look.

Nina had a feeling that he might be lying but after all he's her superior's assistant, she stayed quiet a bit before she looked at him. "Even if you like her, she has two little boys from a random father that nobody knows about…She's probably a…" She was about to continue before he cut her off. "She's not like that first of all, she's much smarter than being what you were about say, second of all, try and keep your gossipy nose out of people who you don't know their problems and their business, Maybe the children's father walked out maybe he passed during the way, not like that…" Rupert looked at her with a stern disappointed look which told Nina just from his expression he's highly disappointed in her which made her tense up and her expression slightly saddened. "Sorry.." She muttered before he sighed and nodded then walked away.

Rupert was making his way back to the office before a young messenger boy was looking around as he found the bronze man. "Mr. B. Blackwood!!" The young boy ran towards him which caught his attention. "Ah! Jonathan! What brings you here, boy?" Rupert asked calmly as he bent down a bit. "Two letters came in today with a little owl and a weird woman dropped off a letter at the post office.." Jonathan answered as he got the letters out which made Rupert's expression turn confused.

"A weird woman?" Rupert asked before he grabbed the letters as he checked the mysterious letter that was sent, it had no name or address before he looked at Jonathan. "What did that woman look like..?" Rupert asked calmly while looking at the young boy. "Well, she was a white woman, she had her face hidden with a hood of some sort of cloak, her voice was lovely but she sounded shaken up by something.." The younger boy responded with what he remembered before Rupert stood there in silence thinking before he ran his hand through his hair. "Well then,kiddo.." Rupert added before he got something out of his pocket. "There's a small gift as an early thanksgiving gift for you and Joanne.." Rupert murmured as he got out two chocolate bars and a tip for the young messenger boy as he bent down to be at eye level with the younger boy.

Jonathan had the biggest smile on his face when he saw the chocolates as he politely took them from Rupert. "Thank you, Mr. B. Blackwood!!" The young messenger boy thanked happily before he waved goodbye and left. "Safe travels, kiddo!" Rupert smiled a little as the boy ran out of sight before he turned his full attention to the mysterious letter, Rupert was curious about what it had as he calmly walked down the hall before knocking on the door and entered, Albert turned his attention to the man who just entered.

"What took you so long?" Albert asked as his attention drifted to the letters that Rupert was holding in his left hand. "That little boy, Jonathan, dropped off a weird letter from a weird woman." Rupert replied before he explained the whole situation to Cameron and Albert, They looked at each other then back at Cameron looked at Rupert. "May I see the letter?" Cameron asked calmly as she reached her hand out, he nodded before he handed the letter to Cameron as she inspected the letter.

"Hmm.." She looked at the letter, inspecting it fairly before she opened the letter and started to read it to both men:

"I don't know when this letter will reach you– but I'm currently writing this letter, the location is Clarabel st. in chelsea, it near the chelsea creek–

The spot is an old working building that was nearly destroyed from the bombing that happened during the war. I stalked the ripper and his group for quite a bit. I never was able to get a glance of their faces…They always wear huge black cloaks that hide their face..

I don't know how long I will be able to stay hidden and alive. They have a lot of people almost like guards and have their own languages which sound almost like Latin or that old language…xenodice or something…

They are everywhere around me and I don't know what to do…But I see them say a lot of stuff related to the bible and stuff…

Yours truly Janus Elvoy."

Cameron finished reading the letter as she noticed by the end when that journalist wrote her name a little droplets of blood was on it as if when the journalist was writing she was either hurt or got hurt in the process of writing this letter to the police.

"Janus Elvoy?" Albert murmured as he leaned back in his seat. "Isn't she that famous journalist at one of those news firms??" Rupert asked as he was standing there looking at Cameron as she nodded calmly. "Mhm, it appears whoever sent this wasn't actually Ms. Elvoy…From the blood that's on the paper it appears she might have been either killed or hurt…" Cameron stated which had surprised both men at what Cameron stated.

"We should send people there quickly.." Albert responded sternly as he was about to raise the telephone handset and dial something. "Don't" Cameron commanded, her tone was demanding yet not unkind. "We don't know if that actually happened or if it's a trap.." Cameron added to her stern command which made Albert put back down the telephone handset.

Albert thought quietly, tapping his index finger against the dark wooden desk before Rupert had an idea. "Then why don't we three and have a team of police officers on stand by around a couple meters away, go to that location and investigate, if anything happens the team go into the place." Rupert announced his plan, Cameron and Albert thought about it before they looked at him. "Sounds like a plan." Both Cameron and Albert replied to him.
