I take a deep breath, my hands clenched tightly on my lap beneath the table. I'm trying my best not to lose my fucking temper.
"Alright, Sheriff. I'll inform Principal Kaveri. She couldn't make it to your appointment due to her schedule, so she sent me instead. That said, I want to assure you that Brookshigh is like any other normal academy. We're not hiding anything, and you should focus on getting animal control involved. I suggest a wild beast attacked him. Students at Brookshigh are at risk too, since the accident scene is just a stone's throw away. Who knows, it might find its way inside."
