Chapter 63 - One Year Passed From Magic Awakening

As soon as Eira entered her room, she tossed her bag and a small box aside, slipped into her soft pajamas, and collapsed onto the bed. She let out a long breath and muttered, "Finally… meeting you again, System."

[Ding.]

A familiar sound echoed in her mind.

["Hello, Host. Congratulations. Your yearly sign-in quota has arrived. You are now eligible to sign in and receive your five rewards for this year. Thank you."]

Eira blinked in surprise. "Oh? Yearly sign-in already?" She paused for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, System. I want to sign in for this year."

["As you command, Host. Beginning the sign-in process."]

There was a short pause as the system began to count down.

["Three… Two… One…"]

[Ding.]

["Congratulations, Host. You have successfully signed in for this year. The following are your five rewards:"]

[First Reward: 10 Magical Talent Points.

Second Reward: An ancient spell that can manipulate gravity.

Third Reward: 10 Offensive Spells.

Fourth Reward: An Assistant Summon Card.

Fifth Reward: *Blank* ]

Eira's eyes narrowed the moment she heard the last line. "Wait—what do you mean 'blank'? What's the meaning of this?"

The system responded in its usual emotionless tone.

["Host, these rewards are randomized. Please do not expect consistency. The outcome is based purely on chance."]

"That's ridiculous!" Eira snapped, sitting upright on the bed. "This isn't a daily sign-in! It's a once-a-year event! You're telling me that even with something that happens once a year, I can receive nothing? That's basically a scam! Are you playing with me, System?!"

The system remained silent.

"I said answer me! I'm baffled and furious right now!"

After a brief pause, the system finally responded.

["Would you like me to explain your current rewards in detail, Host?"]

Eira clenched her fists in irritation but forced herself to calm down. "…Fine. Go on. Explain the rewards."

["Very well. Here is a breakdown of your rewards:"]

[First: 10 Talent Points.

You may distribute these points across your magical disciplines as you see fit.

Second: Ancient Gravity Manipulation Spell –

• Gravitas Auctus: Increases gravitational pull, making the target heavier.

• Gravitas Minuo: Decreases gravitational pull, causing the target to become lighter or even float.

Note: The effect of both spells depends on the caster's magical strength.

Third: 10 Offensive Spells. These will be directly implanted into your mind. Upon casting each spell once, you will master it instantly without the need for prolonged study.

The spells are as follows:

• Obscuro – Blindfold Charm

• Flipendo – Knockback Jinx (Knocks the target backward with force)

• Protego Diabolica – Defensive Flame Spell (A ring of blue fire that harms enemies, but protects allies)

• Ventus – Wind Jinx (Conjures a powerful gust of wind)

• Aguamenti – Water Conjuring Spell (Creates a stream of water)

• Depulso – Banishing Charm (Forcefully pushes the target away)

• Bombarda – Explosive Charm (Creates an explosion to break through objects)

• Confringo – Blasting Curse (Causes fiery explosions on impact)

• Expelliarmus – Disarming Charm

• Stupefy – Stunning Spell

Fourth: Assistant Summoning Card.

A rare card that, when used, will summon a witch or wizard who is completely loyal to the Host. The summoned individual will possess the power level of a Senior Auror, knowledge of magic and physical combat, as well as skills in management.

Fifth: Blank.

Due to your luck factor, one of your five yearly rewards has resulted in nothing.]

Eira's eyes drifted toward the fourth reward. "System… this assistant… is it going to be a famous wizard or witch from the past? Will they have their memories?"

The system responded calmly.

["The summoned individual is selected at random. They may be someone from the past with retained memories—or they may have no memory of who they once were. However, regardless of their origin or memory, their loyalty to you is absolute."]

"I see," Eira murmured, deep in thought. Just as she was about to activate the summoning card, the system issued a warning.

["Caution: Using the summoning card is irreversible. Once summoned, the individual cannot be sent back. Please consider your current surroundings before using it."]

Eira paused. She glanced around her dorm room, the soft blue curtains swaying from the breeze outside the enchanted windows. Right—this was still Beauxbâtons. Summoning someone out of nowhere inside a prestigious magical academy could cause chaos, not to mention explaining it to Madame Maxime.

"…Not the right time," she muttered, and tucked the summoning card away into her system space for later use—preferably somewhere private, and far from inquisitive eyes.

Her attention shifted to the ancient spell. "System, I've never seen this kind of magic in any books. Is this ancient magic?"

["Yes. This spell was used centuries ago but has long been forgotten with the passage of time. Its rediscovery is rare, and its effects are highly dependent on the magical strength of the user."]

Eira nodded, a thoughtful glint in her eyes. "This could be extremely useful in battle. Even if there are other gravity-based spells, the uniqueness and rarity of this one give me an advantage. And the fact that I can master it instantly… that's convenient."

She then examined the ten offensive spells. Some were taught in fifth or even sixth year at Beauxbâtons, and here she was—able to use and master them in a matter of moments.

This… is a serious power-up.

Next, she turned to the talent points. After contemplating for a while, she made her decision.

"System, allocate four points to Transfiguration, and two to Charms."

She paused, considering the remaining four. Her alchemy talent was pitifully low—just one point. She considered putting points into it but shook her head.

We're not learning alchemy right now. No need to waste points on something I won't use yet.

"Use the remaining four points for White Magic."

["Acknowledged. Distributing Talent Points."]

[Ding.]

["Congratulations, Host. Your Charms and Transfiguration talents have now reached the Genius level. As a reward for reaching Genius level in two magical disciplines, you will receive two additional gifts to further blossom your talents."]

[Gift One: Full Dueling Mastery for Charms.

Gift Two: Animagus Shortcut. Upon brewing the Animagus potion, you may skip the traditional ritual and transform immediately.]

Eira blinked. "Wait—what? I can become an Animagus instantly once I brew the potion?"

["Correct. The ritual process is bypassed for Genius-level Transfiguration users. Only the potion is required."]

She scoffed and smirked. "System, why didn't you tell me earlier that reaching Genius level comes with extra rewards?"

["You didn't ask, Host."]

"Tch," she clicked her tongue. "Of course. My fault again, right?"

Finally, she took a breath and said, "Show me my status window."

[Ding.]

The system responded promptly, and her status window began to unfold before her eyes—lines of magical data glowing softly in the air.
