Chapter 36: Super Robin
Boom… Boom… Boom…
A series of deafening roars echoed around Whiskey Peak Island, illuminating the dark night.
As Baphomet sailed away, the scene behind it looked like a fireworks feast—gorgeous and deadly.
Igaram and the duck, who had been thrown onto another ship by Luffy, stared at the raging fire and explosions with deep fear.
On board, the Straw Hat crew and their guests watched the festive fireworks in amazement.
Nami whistled in appreciation."Robin-chan, you're really insidious. You actually planted explosives on all the ships on the island…"
Robin's eyebrow twitched. She wasn't sure if the word insidious was meant as an insult or praise.
The other girls laughed at Robin's reaction.
"I'm just erasing our traces. Leaving evidence behind always makes me uneasy," Robin explained with a smile.
Luffy nodded in understanding."It's always good to be cautious. I'm also afraid that if the battlefield was discovered, Crocodile might run away…"
Robin's smile softened happily at his agreement.
Thud… Thud…
A sea otter and a vulture suddenly crashed onto the dock in front of the crew.
Robin, Vivi, and Ms. Valentine muttered at the same time:"Unluckies…"
Yasha, clearly the culprit, slung her rifle over her shoulder with a smug grin."So they were enemies after all. But… Unluckies?"
Kaya muttered in a daze."They really are unlucky…"
Then, as if remembering something, Robin quickly regained her composure. She glanced at the log pose strapped to Nami's wrist with suspicion."Are we going to follow the log pose to our next destination? That means Little Garden… Did you already make plans?"
Nami tilted her head, her expression blank."Little Garden? Robin-chan, you know our next destination?"
Robin stared at her."Are you sure you're the navigator? Didn't you ever bother gathering information about the route? You're just sailing blindfolded."
Luffy chuckled."Don't be harsh on her. She didn't even bother asking about the log pose. Fortunately, we were lucky and a kind old man donated one to us. And it doesn't matter—I do have plans. Little Garden is my next goal… not that we're lacking an eternal pose, right Robin?"
Giants were indeed part of his envisioned plan.
Robin looked at him thoughtfully.
The girls sneered at Nami."Nami, didn't you promise to be more cautious? And now you're messing around again…"
Nojiko pinched her ear as Nami pouted in grievance."Where was I supposed to gather information? The whole of Whiskey Peak was totally erased by you!!"
The only ones who stayed silent were Vivi and Ms. Valentine.
Vivi glared at Robin with open hostility. She knew Luffy could easily read minds, so she unleashed her hostility fully, desperately protesting—but Luffy casually dismissed her. To him, Vivi was fine and all… but what did that matter?
Ms. Valentine, meanwhile, trembled in the corner, still confused about why she had been kidnapped by that beautiful girl with strange eyebrows.
Later, after the ship had sailed a few miles, Luffy conjured a seat and sat on it.
The girls, as if on cue, formed a circle with Robin and Luffy in the middle, like a strange ritual was about to begin.
Robin panicked a little."What's wrong?"
She tried to join the circle herself, but the girls only shook their heads, smiling reassuringly.
Vivi and Ms. Valentine exchanged bewildered looks at the strange "ceremony."
Nami explained warmly,"Robin-chan, don't be afraid. Anyone who joins our crew undergoes two things. The first is the captain's baptism. You'll understand soon—I won't spoil the fun. All you need to do is kneel before the captain and leave the rest to him."
Robin felt relieved. She wasn't worried that Luffy would harm her—her threat level to him was insignificant, which only made her feel safer.
She gladly kneeled at his feet, eyes full of curiosity and anticipation.
Luffy reached over her head and, with a thought—
A metamorphosis began.
Robin was different from the teenage girls. She was 28 years old, and so her potential extraction was far greater.
She felt a profound, majestic power invade her body—divine, limitless. It was as if she were standing before a god. Shackles shattered, limits crumbled.
The flaws that had always held back her Devil Fruit disappeared instantly. In a blink, she achieved awakening—and even beyond it, gaining new abilities that defied belief.
Beyond her basic awakening, she gained Avatar Power: the ability to create clones, customizable avatars, and powers drawn from her imagination. A Goddess or Devil Avatar could grant divine or demonic abilities within the world's limits.
Her brain expanded, her intelligence skyrocketed, her IQ beyond measure.
Her body underwent rebirth. Her clothes tore apart as she transformed: pale flawless skin, long raven-black hair, piercing blue eyes, towering height, long legs, massive bust, narrow waist, full hips. Her 180 cm frame stretched to 2 meters.
Her stats surged: brute strength beyond giants, near-lightning speed, an invulnerable body, regeneration, and a genius mind.
Something that would take the other girls months—or year—of grinding, Robin gained instantly.
Finally, a proficiency panel appeared, ready to help her farm skills with ease.
Robin, stunned by her newfound might, muttered in shock:"Am I hallucinating? This is too strong…!!"
If once an admiral made her feel helpless, now she felt invincible—able to face ice, magma, or light head-on without fear.
The overwhelming aura she released made the girls break into cold sweat.
Vivi and Ms. Valentine collapsed to their knees, staring in shock.
Zala exclaimed,"Damn it… how is she this strong?!"
Sanju puffed her pipe, eyeing Robin's naked body."She's definitely stronger than us… way stronger."
Nojiko tilted her head."I didn't expect Robin-chan to be a white-skinned beauty. I thought her skin was like mine or Yasha's…"
Yasha rolled her eyes."I wish you were white too. Captain seems to like unique things more…"
Kaya frowned thoughtfully at Robin's transformation."Is it because of her age?"
Everyone turned to her curiously—even Robin, who was busy analyzing her new powers.
Kaya explained,"The captain's baptism unlocks human potential and breaks limits. For example: a normal human's limit is 10. An elite is 50. A super elite, 100. A genius, 500. A super genius, 1,000. A monster, 5,000. A super monster, 10,000…"
"The captain erases these limits. With the removal, raw talent transforms. For teenagers, reaching super-monster levels is normal. But Robin-chan is older, already an adult—her growth is at full throttle. And this might not even be her limit."
Kuina took a deep breath."To think Admiral-class power could be reached with pure physical stats, without Haki… Just how scary is the world limit?"
Robin looked at her in astonishment."How can you be sure I'm Admiral-level?"
Zala smirked."The aura coming off you almost matches Hawkeye's max serious state."
Then she glanced at lounging Luffy."Right, Captain? You beat him easily—you'd know better than us."
Robin, Vivi, and Ms. Valentine froze in shock.
Robin's heart burned hot. Even naked, she couldn't cool down. She already admired Luffy's strength, but now she was completely devoted—a fanatic with overwhelming affection.
Safety maxed out. Captain: awesome.
Vivi coughed awkwardly."Excuse me… what exactly is your power? Isn't it just healing?"
The girls finally remembered the guests. But since Luffy wasn't hiding it, it didn't matter.
Robin's feverish gaze locked on him.
Luffy's lips curled as he casually lied,"My power is simple—turning imagination into reality."
Nami jumped in cheerfully."Yes! The captain has the Nika Fruit—he's Joy Boy of this era!"
Robin's eyes widened. A realization dawned."Is this… fate?"
Vivi and Ms. Valentine gasped, staring at Luffy in awe—and at Robin with envy.
Luffy suddenly commanded,"Kaya, take Robin and the other two to the lab. Inject them with KxLv1."
Kaya beamed."Actually, Luffy, I've already improved the formula. This version is more potent."
The girls' eyes lit up.
It wasn't for nothing she held the "C" position in bed.
Luffy looked at her with approval. Kaya was hardworking. Everyone had talent and cheats, but Kaya was the most productive. The others were either brutes or distracted by hobbies—they added little of value.
The girls sensed his distaste and quickly averted their eyes.
"Then go ahead," he said.
Kaya happily led them toward her laboratory.
Once again, shocked gasps echoed.
The inner space was a miracle to behold.
