Chapter 39: LOGIN
Training Room...
Luffy lounged lazily on the soft sitting pod, while Robin clung to his body like a greedy, possessive snake.
The girls stopped their sparring as they finally realized they had been tricked.
Murderous glares shot from every corner of the wide training hall. If Robin wasn't practically melting into Luffy's body, they would have already besieged the "bitch."
To think they were so easily deceived—some had even considered her a big-sister figure: gentle, commanding, and caring.
All those feelings were in vain.
Nami shrieked, pointing at Robin in disbelief.
"Robin!! Did you deceive us and hog the captain all for yourself this whole time?!"
Then she turned and froze, noticing another Robin still hammering punches into the force-measuring boulder, testing her striking techniques. Her realization sank like a stone.
The same happened to the others, who shouted in fury:
"Clone!!!"
Kaya reached out curiously to touch Robin's double, but before she could, the clone was struck by Zala and Kuina's flying slashes.
Yet the clone only staggered back slightly before continuing as if nothing had happened, a contemptuous smile curling on its lips.
Their attacks were flimsy in the face of Robin's raw stats.
The girls' expressions darkened—they hadn't expected the clone to be nearly equal in strength to the real body.
No wonder they hadn't seen through her tricks.
Mikita—once Ms. Valentine, but now completely different after unlocking her full potential—looked sexier, taller, stronger, her aura rivaling seasoned Vice Admirals. Confidence radiated from her, erasing the nervousness and hesitation she once carried.
Strength really did change people.
She chuckled, watching the scene.
"As expected of the Vice President. Her work is as flawless as ever…"
Her tone even carried pride.
Meanwhile, Vivi looked conflicted. She too had undergone a metamorphosis, gaining strength that even surpassed Mikita's. But instead of focusing on Robin, her eyes lingered on Luffy with deep contemplation.
Sensing her gaze, Luffy turned toward her, intrigued. His lips curved into a knowing smile that made her blush faintly. She quickly composed herself and joined the others in glaring at Robin.
"I told you this woman was cunning, not to be trusted! Hmph. Since you didn't believe me before, you deserve this now…"
The girls looked at Vivi with guilty expressions. She had warned them about Robin's identity. And yet, Robin's charisma, her experience, her warmth had made them all trust her. Even Vivi had been swayed once, thinking maybe Robin truly wanted to help.
But after gaining that trust, Robin—as always—betrayed it in the cruelest way.
At that moment, Robin herself was lost in bliss, moaning softly, ignoring the others entirely. Her heart was full of contempt for these little girls. Especially when she knew they had been with the captain for so long and still failed to make substantial progress.
Her disdain made them pout in grievance.
As expected of the "big sister" figure, they weren't her match. But Robin soon composed herself. As the first woman and the elder, she had to consolidate her position.
She put on a warm smile.
"I just heard you were all intimate with the captain, and I was blinded by jealousy. I didn't want to be ostracized, so I thought the only way was to get close to the captain too. That way, we could share a common bond. And I'm grateful to him—I could only think of this as the deepest way to show my gratitude and admiration…"
She looked at Luffy with eyes full of obsessive love, winking and purring against his neck cutely.
The girls exchanged uncertain glances. Her logic was twisted, but it was also strangely acceptable.
Vivi scowled in annoyance.
"Cunning vixen!!"
Luffy only smiled at their bickering. If only they knew Robin was still using her ability right now, secretly "sheathing his sword."
Yes, even now they were connected—Robin clung to him like a yandere spirit.
"Let's stop talking about this," he said casually. "Let's look at you instead—you've really grown stronger…"
He gestured to Kaya. "This new genetic solution is outrageous. It pushed your base stats just a little below Robin's level. Each of you could now be called a Sea Emperor—you only need battle experience. Even the little maid reached Vice Admiral-tier, and Vivi-chan's at quasi-Admiral level without haki or advanced techniques…"
His gaze softened with appreciation. Kaya's work could throw the whole world into a frenzy, almost rivaling the fabled One Piece treasure itself.
The others glanced at Kaya with envy, but also anticipation for even more advanced solutions. Their potential was far from unlocked.
Vivi and Mikita, in particular, looked at Kaya with awe. After hours of testing their powers, they knew how outrageous their growth really was.
Kuina pouted at Luffy.
"But what's the use of this power? Sparring doesn't let us go all out—there's no thrill."
Zala licked her lips.
"Luffy, you can teleport, right? Throw me into Navy Headquarters. I want to fight everyone there. I feel like I'll grow even stronger if I fight stronger opponents…"
Nami and Nojiko rolled their eyes in unison, while Yasha actually seemed intrigued.
"It's not a bad idea… but didn't Robin-san say the next island, Little Garden, has giants? Giants should be strong, right?"
The combat group perked up with anticipation.
But Luffy crushed their hopes with a cold splash of truth.
"Impossible. Those giants are, at best, on par with the little maid here—and maybe not even that. They're rigid, relying only on brute strength and endurance. If targeted properly, even weaker humans can take them down."
Zala and Kuina slumped, disappointed.
Nojiko's eyes lit up.
"Does that mean I can easily defeat giants?!"
Luffy rolled his eyes.
"You can already defeat Admirals—what's a giant to you?"
Robin chuckled at Nojiko's cute ignorance.
"Really, I'm strong…"
Nojiko looked dreamy, while even Nami beside her seemed unconvinced.
Luffy knew then that his decision to build a virtual world training ground—and a tool to control the future world—was absolutely right.
"Since you all want strong opponents and life-or-death battles," he said with a grin, "I just might have a way to grant your wishes. Not only that… it'll be a place where boredom dies and adventure never ends."
Everyone stared in surprise and confusion.
A place like that—did it really exist?
Then, with a flick of his hand, ten small orbs of shimmering light appeared, glowing like fireflies in the dark.
The girls watched in awe as each orb drifted toward them, gently colliding with their foreheads before they could react.
Suddenly, a message appeared in their minds:
"Login? What's that?" Nami asked, bewildered.
"Log in," Luffy said calmly. "You'll understand once you do."
The girls, still dazed, chose to log in.
Silence filled the room.
Luffy's smile widened.
He could already see it—the future where LOGIN became the legendary benchmark of the strong. Without it, you wouldn't even dare call yourself a powerhouse.
The pieces of his plan were falling into place.
Next, he would need someone to stir the world. Joyboy was a positive force, but if he stepped too far outside the plot, chaos would erupt and countless would die.
For a hero, a villain was necessary.
A Demon King to plunge the world into chaos, forcing it to evolve—so that Luffy could harvest the fruits of its struggle.
To become a god, he was doing everything in his power. And with his careful calculations and predictions, the world was aligning with his vision.
Everything was nearly ready.
After conquering the two giants, the plan would finally be set in motion.
