Mona's eyes widened, and the blue aura swirled around her like a storm.
"Hahahahaha, Your goddess never tells you anything." Chaos Alien cackled.
It was relaxed, because it knew no one would get closer to it. Everyone was afraid of getting corrupted.
Mona's eyes glowed blue. She looked in the air, right above its head, and she saw [Level 60] — glimmering in a black, sinister hue.
"You are just a level 60 shit and you're acting like a big boss!" Mona said with a smirk.
She extended her hand, and a blue circle like light glowed in the midair.
She took out a large gun, --no, a cannon, bigger than herself, and shining blue steel color glimmered under the assembly hall lights.
'Neo-metal Sniper Rifle'
Click- Clack
She pointed it toward the Chaos Alien, and its grin faltered. "What are you doing?" it screamed.
"I'm getting rid of a stinky trash!" Mona replied.
"Do you not care about her life?" It tightened its grip around the neck of Zara.
Zara groaned in pain.
Mona, still in a relaxed demeanor, holding the gun in both hands, replied, " Nahhhh, I just need to take care of you, a burden on the ground."
"She is a candidate for the Holy Priestess; do you still not care?" it bellowed.
Mona's eyes narrowed, her hands tightened around Sniper.
"Do you have proof, or is it just another wicked scheme of yours?" She asked, as a smile returned on her face.
"Yes, yes, Chaos God told us. He gave us quests to target all the candidates for the Holy Priestess." It said, betraying even its own God.
" No shit!" Mona frowned
As Mona and Chaos Alien were talking, Victor had fallen on the ground, his hand clenching his chest, his breathing ragged.
He was far closer to Alien than the other students, who were sticking to the wall far away from it.
The fear gripping his heart was normal; the level difference between him and Chaos Alien was huge.
But he didn't stop, he dragged his body, crawled on the ground, moving toward Zara.
My body feels heavy, I can feel my heart racing, but…
He raised his head and looked in the tear-filled eyes of Zara.
I can't let the only person in the world who cared for me die.
He crawled like a worm; it was slow, but he still moved.
All the students felt the fear gripping their hearts, their expressions horrified, like they were looking at death itself.
Lyla was leaning against the wall, her body trembling, sweat soaking her back, and her eyes filled with tears.
The Chaos race evoked fear in every other race, not because they were terrifying, but fear was instinctive, like a mouse and a cat.
Paralyzing fear always hits the heart every time one encounters the Chaos Alien.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Mona fired three consecutive shots; her arm and shoulder recoiling back.
Swoosh!
Bullets made a blue arch and seemed like blue lasers aimed at the alien.
" Noooo!" Victor screamed, rising from the ground, with legs trembling in fear, and ran toward Zara.
Squelch!
One bullet blasted the leg completely into shreds below the thigh.
It stumbled back, losing its balance.
Its Grip loosened around Zara's neck.
Zara fell on the ground with a thud.
Swoosh!
Squelch!
The second bullet came, taking its shoulder away.
"Arghhhhhhh!" An inhumane scream escaped from its throat as it fell back on the ground.
Thud!
Ink blood pooled around its wounds.
The third bullet missed as the alien fell down.
It dragged itself on the floor with one arm, making a path of ink-like blood.
It extended its claw toward the body of the student, piercing his chest like a hot knife through butter.
Glug, glug.
Through its fingers, blood and remaining life force from the body of a student flowed into the alien.
The arm regrew in seconds, and then its leg also came out.
The body of the student turned into a dried husk, resembling an old mummy.
" Roarrrr"
It stood up with a roar, and black smoke like an aura came out of its body.
Whoosh!
It spread around it, covering a few meters.
"Back away, everyone!" Mona's shout followed as she straightened up her cannon.
Bringing it to her eye level, she pulled the trigger.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
She fired five consecutive shots.
Her body recoiled back a little at the last bullet.
Black smoke, resembling miasma, condensed around the alien, forming a crude shield.
Boom!
Crack!
The first bullet hit the shield, completely shattering it.
Followed by a second laser-like bullet piercing the head of the alien and passing through with a boom sound.
It had half of its head with only one wide eye and half the mouth remaining, its body frozen.
Whoosh!
Boom!
Another bullet followed, making a blue glowing path, aimed at the neck, shredding it completely.
The Headless body stood, but another two bullets came, one piercing the chest and another following a similar path.
Boom!
Boom!
The last bullets blew its body, and only its leg remained standing.
The aura of fear vanished.
Students who were standing against the wall sat down, and the ones sitting down leaned back.
The two soldiers who came along with Mona, standing far back near the stage, moved their paralyzed and trembling bodies.
Mona looked around the assembly hall and frowned, her eyes scanned as every student who was against the wall, but not one of them grabbed her attention.
Then her eyes widened as they fell on Victor, who somehow reached Zara and was hugging her.
Her lips twitched a little with a slight smile, but it vanished as soon as it came.
She looked around; some cadets were unconscious, and some dead.
Ding!

Mona looked at the blue panel before her. Invisible to others, she muttered, "Finally, my level increased after two months."
She turned and looked at the two soldiers moving toward her. She sighed, thinking 'these soldiers are too inexperienced and have low level, one can't overcome the fear of a higher level and lower level with courage only.'
"You two, fire a bullet in the head of dead students. Remember, use the Origin magic with Neo bullet, that's the only way to prevent them from turning into Chaos Spawn." Mona's loud and authoritative words sent a shiver down the spines of living ones.
The two Soldiers nodded solemnly.
They took out one automatic pistol strapped to their waist each and moved toward the already dead students.
The dead bodies of students were slowly turning black, as the ink-like black color was spreading on their bodies like a rot.
Bang!
Bang!
They fired shots at blank range in their head; Gaia's Origin magic was embedded in the bullets.
Ink like corruption stopped, and the bodies of the students decayed, turning into ash.
They moved from one body to the other, repeating the process.
The student looked at them wide-eyed.
Zara and Victor were hugging each other, their hands clenched around each other, every time they heard the shot.
