Aveline panicked. She wanted to move her body. To take a step. Anything at all. But she couldn't.
All she could do was move her eyes all over the top part of his body covered in ink she couldn't decipher, and his muscles that rippled with every movement.
"Move Aveline!" She screamed internally, just as he came to a stop in front of her.
Her heart pounded uncontrollably, as he stretched his hand towards her face.
"Don't touch me. Please no," she begged in her heart, worrying she wouldn't be able to control her reaction.
He touched her face, and just as swiftly, withdrew it.
She didn't hear or feel anything again, until she opened her eyes she only just realized she had shut.
Atlas stood far from her like before, staring directly.
"You had a bit of hair stuck on your face. It was distracting," he said.
She released the breath she was holding, and then began to feel stupid.
"What did you think he was going to do?" She chided herself. "You have to talk to him. Right now."
