Aveline let out an exhausted yawn on the way back to her room.
The night that started in a heated way, ended up in feelings that were mixed. At least for her.
"You're tired."
"Huh?" She whipped her head to the side, her body a little startled by Riley's voice.
Because of how quiet Riley had been, she completely forgot she was walking her back to her room.
"Where's your mind at?" She forced a smile.
"I should be asking you that. You've been super quiet. I know you're not as talkative as Freya, but still—" Aveline pouted.
"I guess I'm just tired too." Riley shrugged.
"Is that it?" Aveline further pressed.
She was supposed to stay out of it, but she couldn't help poking.
Maybe because she already considered herself close to Riley and Freya. They had treated her with the utmost kindness after all.
"Why do I feel like you want to know something?" Riley asked.
