Chapter 146: Multiplied Detonating Talisman
"Sasuke-sama, this is truly incompatible," Gang Sengoku said after studying the Hiramekarei swords for a long time. "It's an integrated system. The summoning talisman and the chakra amplification technique are intertwined. Sealing one will inevitably affect the other."
Shun, who was also skilled in sealing techniques, shook his head. "It's impossible to cleanse the talisman without destroying the sword. I could only seal it completely."
"Wait," Sasuke said, his eyes lighting up with an idea. "We're thinking about this backward. Forget about removing or modifying. What if we simply add something new on top?"
"That's totally feasible!" Shun immediately applauded, formulating a plan.
The method was simple: establish a protective seal to weaken the original talisman's connection, and then add a new modified summoning spell on top of it, connecting it to another object and thus changing the summoning priority.
The three set to work. As a genius of the Uchiha clan, with the help of his Sharingan, Shun finally managed to connect the new spells with the originals.
"What a great sword!" Sasuke was overjoyed to see the detonating tag they had hidden in the hilt. "What a shame! If I knew the Multiple Explosive Tag Technique, it would be even more perfect."
He reflected on the potential of this new tactic. If he mastered Tobirama's forbidden technique, he could link an enemy's summoning to countless explosive tags. Not even the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, or even the Third Raikage, could withstand an explosion summoned directly on them.
With the two Hiramekarei swords equipped on his mecha puppets, their advantages were immediately revealed. Aside from a minor speed flaw, they were impeccable in attack and defense, possessing the combat power of a true elite jonin, far superior to his own body's.
Even so, he couldn't be careless. He decided to persuade Pakura to act with them.
In the last two battles, he had captured many Sunagakure ninjas. Although most were genin, to Pakura, they were still her compatriots. Sasuke explained that the Maritime Defense Fortress had been assaulted by Mist ninjas, who were burning, killing, and looting.
"If you want me to help you fight the Mist ninjas, don't hesitate!" she refused, despite feeling tempted.
"Pakura, it seems you're just like those war fanatics, and you don't care about the lives of civilians at all," Sasuke provoked her.
She hesitated, but held firm.
"Pakura, you don't want those captive Sunagakure ninjas to die because of you, do you?"
"White Blood Demon, are you threatening me!" she glared at him.
"No, no," he denied. "I just want to save those guys. If you act, for every ten Mist ninjas you kill, I'll release one Sunagakure captive. What do you think?"
Upon hearing that she could save her comrades, Pakura's attitude softened. To show his sincerity, Sasuke brought out two of the prisoners.
"Kuji Tokiwa! Sandfall!" Pakura recognized them instantly.
