Chapter 145: Morning Rooster
"Ah~ It hurts so much!" Ryusuke screamed, using his hydration technique again to avoid fatal damage. Although the power of the two water javelins was inferior to an S-rank forbidden technique, his Spiral Wave contained Wind chakra, which surpassed the physical immunity limit of the transformation technique, reaching a level of cellular destruction.
Ryusuke finally realized that Sasuke had the ability to kill him, and he felt the fear of death. "Run!" he told himself, and fled at full speed.
Sasuke activated Wind Breath and pursued him, but even with the power boost, he couldn't effectively block a desperate elite jonin. The other Konoha ninjas tried to surround him, but Ryusuke easily broke through.
"White Blood Demon, I'll be back!" he shouted as he escaped.
"Do you want to escape after the fight? Don't you think it's too late?" Sasuke scoffed.
At that moment, a green figure stood in Ryusuke's path. "Sixth Gate, Gate of View, open!" Might Duy shouted.
Ryusuke attacked him with a barrage of water bullets from his fingers, but Duy, enveloped in a green aura, dodged them with ease. He crouched, and the ground beneath his feet cracked from the pressure.
"Damn it!" Ryusuke's face changed. He realized Duy was preparing a big move and transformed back into the monstrous Eboshi Shield.
"Go to hell!" Duy roared. His entire body became a beam of burning red light and pierced through the water monster. A hole the size of a millstone was incinerated through the water, which disintegrated into steam. The liquid fell to the ground and condensed into a corpse, its chest completely perforated and smelling of burning.
"How strong!" Sasuke thought, shocked. He could use physical attacks to burn water.
He rushed to help Duy, giving him energy blocks and using his healing technique. Surprisingly, Duy was full of energy, much better than last time. He realized that, thanks to his food therapy, Duy's hidden wounds had healed, and his strength had improved. Now he could open the Seventh Gate.
"Duy, what did you call that move?" Sasuke asked.
"Chickens crow before peacocks strut," Duy explained with impeccable logic. "So this move is faster than the Morning Peacock. That's why I call it the Morning Rooster."
"Well, as long as you're happy," Sasuke said, speechless.
After Duy's recovery, Sasuke analyzed the new situation. The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. He knew that Duy could now contain at least four of them, but the other two, especially the bearers of Samehada and the Executioner's Blade, Jūzō and Fuguki, were a problem.
Then, his gaze fell on the captured Hiramekarei swords. An idea sparked in his mind. Defense... attack power. His mechas had an almost impregnable defense, but their offense was mediocre. Hiramekarei was pure attack power. He could combine both!
He didn't need to use the twin swords together. He could equip one to each of two mecha puppets, instantly creating two elite jonin-level combatants.
Thinking about this, he quickly put away Ryusuke's body and planned to call his subordinates who knew sealing techniques to find a solution to the swords' summoning link problem.
