The day of manifestation of the fire stone. The day destined to change everything—the life of the possible fire bearer and the life of the chosen fire bearer.
It's been more than an hour since Blake got here in the house and started to do our project. We are almost done.
"Pebbles muna then coarse sand muna bago yung fine sand. Dapat nasa top yung fine sand."
Blake carefully put the three things in the bottle. It takes him less than 5 minutes to do it. The next step is to know if it will work.
"We need to pour the water carefully in order not to disturb the sands."
Again, Blake cautiously poured the water and we waited until the water had passed through the filter. After a few minutes, the water is all filtered. We checked if we did it… and thankfully… we managed to do it right.
I clapped my hands. "I think this deserves a celebration? What do you think? Let's foodtrip?"
Well, aside from the celebration for the activity, it's only an hour away before the full moon comes out. I need to be with him when that time comes to see the manifestation.
I've been feeling nervous throughout this day. I don't know what to do, what to think. The possibility of a fire stone in Blake's body scares me. Valen had been one of my closest friends because of our identity and I cannot afford to see him while taking away his identity as the chosen of the fire bearer.
That should be him.
"Sure, where?" he agreed, appearing to be bored while looking at the thing we just did.
"Here, let's order food online," I suggested. It is not advisable if we would go out when the fire stone can unintentionally burst out. Too dangerous.
"What do you want?" he asked, still focused on the water being filtered.
"Hmm… any veggie salad will be fine for me."
"How about an Italian Salad? I know a shop that sells delicious ones." He tapped something on his phone, and showed me the page of the shop with the picture of the salad.
"Yeah, sure. I'll try it."
Without answering me, he continued tapping and swiping on his phone. Looks like he was looking at food for him. After a few minutes, he told me that the food was on the way. That was fast.
"What did you order?"
"Pizza."
What a healthy life… Thala and him are the same. Do mortal human beings love unhealthy foods?
Aetheria and this world really are so different. This world is full of technology and I barely see some trees and greenery here. In the Aetheria, you can see plants everywhere and the food is all veggies and fruits.
Silence filled the room. I opened the television even though I don't even understand it, just for the sake of hearing other noises rather than this loud silence.
"I didn't know you were into this kind of genre," he stated with those expressionless gaze.
It was the time I realized what kind of movie we were watching. It is a romance… too much romance.
Words would not come out of my mouth. I cannot think straight. How fascinating that energy in the Earth can change my brain? I used to be sharp and keen in the Aetheria. So fascinating.
He peeked at me. Maybe, he felt that I was stunned. He changed the movie into something… more appropriate for our age.
I never got a chance to explain my side. I remained close-mouthed.
In less than 30 minutes, the food arrived. It was already paid. He was the one who paid for everything—the materials for the activity, the food bill in the steak house wherein it was supposed to be on my tab but he insisted again, then this celebratory food for us. How rich is he?
The money they gave to me became so useless. Blake paid for everything.
We started eating while watching some movie when I noticed that he kept on glancing over my food.
"Do you want some?" I genuinely offer him my salad and extend it to him.
I furrowed my brows when he looked so disgusted. "I don't eat veggies…sorry." My lips parted upon his revelation.
What would happen to him in the Aetheria? If all of this scheme turned out to be true.
"No, no… don't be sorry. It's okay but why do you keep staring at my salad?" I calmly said it to him, so he does not feel any bad at all.
"I just don't understand people who eat that grass," he said disgustingly.
This time my mouth dropped…. grass? This isn't grass.
I forcefully coughed. "Well, there are people who have different taste buds and perspectives on food, right? They wanted veggies as you like meat and pizza. You eat what you like and they eat what they like, that is all that matters."
He shrugged it off and continued eating his pizza. This would be a huge problem.
I quietly laughed and ate my salad. I glanced at the clock and only a few minutes left before the full moon came out. I observed him to know if there are any changes to him but there's nothing.
I quickly glimpse at the clock… It's time. The full moon is here.
A flicker of bright flames took out my immediate reaction. His arms began to ignite, a golden like fire began to come out.
His body began to shiver, he became pale and his breathing became shallow. Those emotionless eyes began to show feelings, it showed terror and fear, as if a bad memory that was deeply repressed began to come back.
"Blake…" I hold his shoulders from his side. "Blake…" his eyes were fixed to the flames and it was dilated. "Can you hear me?"
The flames are getting too big. I need water. "Water's will, I now command, move and flow, at my hand." I summoned water and poured it into Blake's hand.
The flames vanished. Luckily, the flames aren't that strong as my water easily defeated it.
He collapsed and lost consciousness.
His palm is still glowing, the fire stone is trying to leave his body.
I glanced at my hand and my brows furrowed as I felt something tingling in my hands. The water stone wants to come out. I opened my palms.
"Why?" I asked it using my mind link. The stones cannot talk to us but they can make us feel what they wanted to do. The stone wants to get closer to Blake's body, so I made it closer to him. To my surprise, the fire stone came out. Then, I remember what Alpha said to me.
"Use the water gem to activate the fire stone in his body. In that way, the fire stone will do its work to let the holder know who he is and the power he holds."
Does after waking up, his memory about the fire stone would come out? Would he know everything about the Aetheria?
The fire stone is now activated. Blake will know about the existence of the fire stone on his body. Maybe, that would be enough for him to believe me.
I waited for minutes to gain his consciousness. I instantly went to him when his eyes opened, his brows furrowed and he observed around, he seemed so puzzled.
"Hey, Blake!" I called him and he fixed his eyes on me. He did not answer, so I asked "Are you okay? May masakit ba sayo?"
He answered me with a head shake and darted his eyes on me. He appeared to have a cloudy thought. It is not good to say things that make him confused.
I stared at him when he shifted his gaze to his palm. I saw the hint of confusion and his eyes were full of questions. My eyes widened when the fire stone came out again. Does he try to summon it?
Blake's eyes widened and he screamed in terror. I held his shoulder and I felt that he was trembling so much. "Calm down, Blake." I closed his palm. "Breathe in. breathe out." I can still feel the trembling of his body.
"W-what… was… was… t-that?" he murmured between gasps, stuttering. The cold, composed Blake I knew in the campus is nowhere to be found, only Blake who is starting to know his identity.
I gently took out his palm and opened it. The fire stone came out. He flinched, trying to take away his hand.
I caressed it, laid my eyes on the fire stone. "Your stone is very beautiful, isn't it?" I softly smiled at him.
"My… my… stone?" he whispered, still stuttering. His face began to be more relaxed, his body remained trembling.
"Yes. It is your stone. It would not hurt you," I gently declared. I let him see my water stone, and how it majestically moved in my palm as if it was dancing in the water.
"What do you… mean?" I secretly smiled when his stuttering decreased. "It's your fire stone, a magical stone."
His brows are still furrowed and I can read his eyes full of questions and confusion.
"Ma-magical? That… is crazy! You are crazy!" he screamed at me but I remained calm and lightly held him.
I summoned my water stone. "Look, meet my water stone." I let him see my water stone, and how it majestically moved in my palm as if it was dancing in the water.
"This… this is so impossible! Am I dreaming?" He slaps his face, only to groan when he felt pain from it.
"You are not dreaming, Blake. This is the reality," I stated with full conviction.
"No… no… you are crazy!" he panicked, pacing around. Then, he ran fast, leaving me here.
I did not do anything nor run after him, I heavenly signed. Maybe he needed time to think and process everything. After all, everything in this scheme really seemed to be a dream.
He lives his life as a mortal one, someone who doesn't even know the world I live in.
