Things were starting to get weirder in my life. With a prophecy and an uncontrollable power that could lit a lot whole town, things just started to go a lot weirder than they were before.
My mind couldn't erase what had happened few minutes ago, the same way my body couldn't erase Tavian's cold touch. There was something that drew me to him. It made me want to surrender every restraint I had in my body when his fingers had brushed my skin. Shame surged through me, wrapping around me like a noose. I couldn't hide how I felt back there…my body made sure of that.
'You haunt my mind, and you're going to pay for it.'
A shudder ran down my spine as I recalled the last words he'd said to me. His words held a warning, and at the same time, it held a dark promise. And I was ready to test the waters.
