Dahlia
After training and school activities, it was time to head back home. I had just left the lecture hall, when I saw Riven. His eyes were fixated on me.
He'd been waiting for me... but for what reason?
He walked towards me.
"I need to ask you something," he said when he stood in front of me. He stared me down, watching me intensely.
"I'm all ears," I replied, the nervousness in my tone hidden.
I couldn't begin to imagine what he had to say. My only hope was that it wasn't something too complicated as I'd my fill of complications in my life.
"I want to go out with you…on a date."
My heart subconsciously skipped a beat. He searched my eyes, as it trying to find my response while I remained speechless.
My mind drifted back to when we had dated and I didn't like how my chest tightened at the thoughts.
It was just a friendly date, Dahlia. I tried to convince myself, but that didn't help.
