I headed to school, trying to get my mind off what I'd seen in my reflection. But that was nearly impossible. I could still see those eyes at the back of my mind. It felt like the shadows cocooned around me, following me wherever I went.
I needed a solid explanation before I'd lose my mind.
It was hard to focus on lectures as my mind constantly reeled. Tavian's constant breathing down my neck didn't help, either.
He made me write his notes, having no care in the world that I also had mine to write. I'd caught him drawing from the corner of my eye, his hand moving effortlessly over the paper. I frowned.
So he'd rather do that than write his note.
After the lectures ended, Mira and I headed to the cafeteria. Once seated, we are.
I watched her, contemplating whether I should tell her about what happened.
"I had a nightmare."
She looked up, her eyes locking onto mine. I took that as a green light and told her everything. The nightmare, the reflection.
