She was a thorn that never dulled, a lowlife in our midst. Just looking at her made my skin prickle with unease. It wasn't just hate I felt for her, it was something darker. Something I couldn't name.

And yet, she still lingered, always there to remind me of what I'd lost.

After the tragic event that happened years back, leading to the death of our mother, I was never the same anymore. Living under my father's shadow and bending to his will was tiring enough, but not having my mother here was torment.

You'd think time would heal, but that was different in my case. My world went black the day I lost her, and it never got any brighter.

Now, with my father growing weaker and frail every day, the responsibility of the pack weighed heavy on my shoulders. But even as I rose higher, I felt like I was sinking. A lot of unanswered questions kept my mind in a frenzy. And yet…
