The light in Nimora was unlike any light Adam had ever known. It was a light that did not illuminate… but rather, exposed.
He stood in a hall paved with mirrors, each one showing a different image of him. Some reflected him as a child crying in the rain, others showed him as an old man with empty eyes, and some… reflected nothing but shadow.
Zera's voice came from behind him, faint:
"These are not mirrors, Adam… They are false memories. The lies the world told you, or… the lies *he* told you."
He turned to her, but her eyes were fixed on the mirror in the corner. They approached it together, and there… Adam did not appear. Instead, the image of a woman with emerald eyes and white hair radiating light appeared. His grandmother.
But she was young.
"What…?" Adam whispered, feeling a shiver crawl down his spine.
Zera said: "This is not your grandmother… or at least, not as you knew her. This woman was part of the *Maker of Nimora*… and she was the first to rebel against him."
Suddenly, the hall trembled, and a tall, featureless human shadow emerged from the heart of the mirrors, walking silently toward Adam. The closer it got, the more the images in the mirrors shattered, turning into black ash.
Zera screamed:
"It's the 'Image Collector'! If it touches a mirror, it erases it from existence!"
Adam reached out to fend it off, but the creature pushed him away with an invisible force that sent him crashing into the wall. Pain screamed within him, but something in his soul began to boil.
Laboubo suddenly appeared on his shoulder, its eyes glowing:
"Adam! This is no time for hesitation! If you want to know who you are… you must shatter the lie with your own hands!"
Adam stared at the last remaining mirror, which showed a distorted version of himself, laughing madly, with the words written beneath:
**"Adam… Son of the Lie."**
He grabbed a black stone and raised it high.
The creature screamed and lunged at him…
But it was too late.
**The mirror shattered.**
And light exploded.
Amid the chaos, his grandmother's voice whispered from afar:
> "If you want to know who you are, you must kill me first, or… forgive me."
