Chapter 47 - How Tina Can Be Used

It was late at night at the antique shop.

"Tap, tap, tap."

The old clock ticked with a crisp sound.

Upstairs, on the second floor of the shop, Tina, with her brown hair, sat cross-legged on the rug.

Perhaps she was nervous; she had only lit a few candles in the room to dispel the darkness.

Hundred-dollar bills were scattered at the girl's feet. She took a deep breath, inhaling the smell of ink, her pretty face filled with intoxication. "This money? How should I spend it?"

Should she buy some cosmetics first, eat at places only rich people could afford, or move away and start a new life elsewhere?

"Click."

A noise came from downstairs.

"Who's there?" Tina squinted slightly, reaching out to stuff the scattered bills on the floor into her backpack.

She quickly stood up, her clenched fists crackling.

Ever since she discovered her great strength and ability to change her appearance, courage had grown with her power.

Tina pushed open the door and walked out of the room, slowly making her way downstairs.

She descended the stairs, turned on the lights, and scanned the antique shop.

Everything was as usual. The antiques her mother cherished were neatly displayed on the shelves, and the shop door was tightly shut with no signs of forced entry.

A sigh of relief escaped the girl's heart, and she walked back to the room with light steps.

"My hundred-dollar bills~" Tina's face broke into a joyful smile.

This money was all hers, and soon, she would use it to start a new life, a life of luxury.

Tina tucked the bag of bills under her bed and lay down on her small bed, letting out a soft sigh.

Too much had happened in the past few days, and she was a bit tired.

Soon, Tina's eyelids grew heavy, and her consciousness blurred as she drifted into sleep.

As her breathing deepened, the girl found herself in a long dream.

She dreamt she was on a beach.

The sea was azure, a gentle breeze blew, and a rainbow arched across the distant sky.

She, in her swimsuit, jumped into the ocean.

Countless fish swam around her, and everything was as beautiful as a fairy tale.

But in the next instant, the sky turned gloomy. Lightning and strong winds descended from the dark clouds overhead, and an invisible force pulled her down.

Seawater filled her mouth and nose, and the cold current washed over her body.

The feeling of suffocation made Tina struggle desperately, but her body only felt heavier and heavier.

Finally, as if reaching a breaking point, the girl suddenly opened her eyes!

In the dark room, she found a pair of large hands clamped tightly over her mouth and nose.

She heard a playful laugh: "I thought you'd never wake up."

There was a second person in her room?!

Tina's body tensed, and she clenched her fists.

"Bang!"

Her right fist slammed hard into the blurry figure in the darkness.

But in the next instant, the person seemed to have known she would do this, easily reaching out a left hand to grasp her wrist.

The figure in the darkness shook his head:

"Behave, Tina, or I can't guarantee I won't crush your jawbone with my hand."

As if to prove his words, the hand covering Tina's mouth and nose applied slight pressure.

A sharp pain shot up from her jaw. Tina let out a terrified whimper and nodded slightly, indicating she believed him.

"Good."

Seeing the woman was so sensible, the hands gently released her.

"Cough, cough, gasp, gasp."

The desperate feeling of suffocation receded, and Tina greedily gasped for the long-awaited air.

"Snap."

The room's lights came on, allowing Tina to see the unwelcome guest clearly.

Familiar blond hair and a handsome face. The young man was leaning against a table by the lamp, and a high-priced camera sat beside his hand.

He stared at her expressionlessly, his blue eyes devoid of emotion, as if… as if he were looking at a tool?

"It's you?!"

Tina gasped. The person before her was none other than Jino Luthor, the very individual she had impersonated that morning.

"You, what are you doing here?" Tina pursed her lips, staring intently at Jino.

She trusted her own strength, but the fact that he had so easily caught her punch meant that Jino might also be a metahuman.

"Because someone stole my things."

Jino smiled, pointing to the schoolbag by the bed. "Fifty thousand US dollars, and you took it all."

Honestly, he only killed one type of person: those unfortunate enough to threaten his family.

However, the fact that this woman had impersonated him to rob a bank also annoyed Jino greatly.

"Tell me, should I break your hands, or break your face?" Jino leaned in, slowly approaching Tina's cheek.

"No, don't hurt me!" Tina's teeth chattered. She felt a terrifying killing intent radiating from him, making every hair on her body stand on end. She didn't want to die.

"Not hurt you?" Jino straightened up, his gaze fixed on Tina. "But you stole my money and damaged my reputation."

"You have to pay the price." Jino's expression was calm.

The next second.

"Wham!"

A steel-like hand clamped tightly around Tina's neck, lifting her into the air like a kitten.

"Cough, cough!" Tina felt as if her throat had been hit by a dumbbell. Breathing was difficult, and her face turned purple from lack of oxygen.

"I'm giving you two options now." Jino held up a single finger. "Either die here."

"Or work for me."

Tina didn't hesitate. Her desire to live made her speak without thinking, squeezing out a few words through gritted teeth: "I, I choose two!"

"A wise choice."

The pressure on her neck loosened, and Tina fell onto the bed, staring resentfully at the sheets. Jino was an unpredictable bastard, changing his mind too quickly!

"What do you want me to do?"

Tina was a smart woman. Since she couldn't resist the powerful, it was better to simply obey him and save her own life.

For a moment, many thoughts flashed through the mind of this fervent Lana Lang fan, such as transforming herself into Lana or other women for Jino's amusement.

"Take off your clothes. Look at this woman, and transform into her." Jino picked up the camera from the table.

Ten minutes later.

"Come with me."

Jino pushed open the door with his hands behind his back, motioning for Tina to follow.

The girl bit her lip, rustling as she put on her clothes and followed Jino.

Luthor Industries Group, a vast fertilizer conglomerate with hundreds of employees, was the leading enterprise in the town.

Of course, no one worked at the group late at night, except for the forty-year-old security guard.

"Vroom."

A silver Bugatti sports car drove into the complex.

"We're here."

Jino pushed open the car door and walked towards the factory first.

"Is this Luthor Industries?" Tina was a bit confused as to why Jino had brought her here.

But she dared not ask, only following Jino into the silent factory.

The two entered the elevator. Tina watched as Jino pulled a silver card from his pocket and pressed it against the elevator's card reader.

"Beep."

System verification successful.

Jino extended a finger and pressed the button for the basement level.

The young man turned his head, giving Tina a mysterious smile. "Next, you will witness the truth of this town."
