At the same time Jino and Lex were discussing the experiment, On the school playground, Bang!
As one of the players knocked down an opponent and entered the scoring zone, the cheering crowd instantly erupted.
"We're champions!"
Not only was the crowd excited, but the players also cheered and rushed towards their coach, Watt, embracing the chubby man and letting out their excitement.
The game was over. After the cheers subsided, Watt walked alone into the sauna funded by LuthorCorp.
Although Jino had publicly humiliated him, Watt was thick-skinned and didn't care. He simply suppressed his resentment deep inside.
Pssh~
Water splashed onto the steaming hot rocks, releasing large plumes of green vapor.
Watt took a deep breath of the hot air, his expression one of pure bliss.
Tap, tap.
A knock came at the door.
"Come in." Watt, wrapped in a towel, leaned back comfortably in his chair.
Click.
The door opened, and Principal Guan, dressed in a suit, entered the sauna.
The scorching air made Principal Guan frown slightly. "Coach Watt."
"Hm?"
Watt struggled to open his eyes, glanced at Principal Guan, and frowned. "What do you want?"
"We need to talk."
Principal Guan crossed his arms. "A student reported that you leaked midterm exam questions to the football team members."
"So they must be suspended for two weeks."
"Suspended for two weeks?"
Coach Watt's voice suddenly rose. His team had another game next week, and that game would determine who the champion was.
Watt began to ask, "Listen to me, Principal Guan, perhaps we could let them finish the game before they receive their punishment."
"Impossible."
Principal Guan shook his head. "Cheating is disgraceful, Watt. And because you offended Jino, LuthorCorp has already cut our funding in half."
Principal Guan's tone was firm:
"The fact that you haven't been fired means we've been very lenient with you."
"There's no room for discussion on this. Tell them to prepare for their punishment."
With that, Principal Guan turned and left, leaving Watt with a livid expression.
The moment the door closed, Watt could no longer contain his inner rage and roared, "Jino! Jino! It's that Jino again!"
He clenched his fists in anger and furiously pounded the sauna wall.
The next second, scorching flames ignited and spread across the entire wall.
"What!?"
Watching the blazing flames, Watt couldn't believe his eyes. He looked down at his hands.
Then, a bold idea came to mind.
Watt's dark eyes reflected the dancing flames:
"Jino, it's time for blood for blood."
"Anyone who stands in my way must die!"
Monday, a day that both adults and children alike detested.
"Did you hear? Last night's game was really exciting~"
Pete, the dark-skinned boy, looked regretful. "Too bad I was so scared I ended up in the hospital and didn't get to play in that game."
The thought of being scared unconscious yesterday made Pete a little ashamed; he was the only one in the group who had fainted.
"Yeah, but Coach Watt has such a terrible temper."
Chloe waved the newspaper in her hand. The cover showed Watt holding a player and shouting in the pouring rain.
Just then, a group of football players gathered below the teaching building with Coach Watt, listening to him speak.
Sensing he was being watched, Jino slowly turned his head, and his gaze met Watt's. Their eyes locked, and eventually, Watt looked away.
That old man looks at me with such deep hatred.
Jino's expression was indifferent, his eyes slightly narrowed as he used X-ray Vision to scan Watt's body. Then, his expression gradually became more intriguing.
Clark, meanwhile, immediately spotted his goddess, Lana Lang, among them, looking quite angry as she argued with Watt.
"Did you hear?" Chloe leaned in conspiratorially toward Jino. "During the midterms, Watt secretly leaked exam questions to his players. The school board is planning to launch an investigation into Watt soon."
"I think that's why Lana is arguing with Coach Watt."
Clark looked enviously at the encircled football players. "He's a good coach, just has a bad temper."
Outstanding football players were celebrities at school, and Clark had always dreamed of joining the school football team, so it was natural for him to speak up for Watt.
But his parents had been very angry with him lately, and Clark didn't want to complicate things further, so he tucked the idea of joining the team deep inside his heart.
As the group chatted, the football team's dispute seemed to have ended, and an fuming Lana Lang walked straight into the academic building, clutching her books.
"Hey, Lana, what happened?" Clark, worried, ran over to her.
The two walked side-by-side into the academic building.
"Heh."
Watching Clark scurry over to his goddess, Chloe sneered, "I really don't know what's so great about that girl."
Pete, the short, dark-skinned boy, chuckled playfully, "Jealousy is blinding you. Everyone loves Lana Lang."
"Lies!" Chloe raised her voice, a little exasperated. "At the very least, Jino is indifferent to Lana Lang."
"Jino, am I right?"
Chloe's question interrupted Jino's thoughts.
"Hmm? What did you say?"
Jino turned his head to look at the blonde girl.
"I, I was asking if you also like Lana Lang?" Meeting Jino's gaze, Chloe shyly turned her head, one hand twirling her short hair.
"Like? No, I don't like her. She's Clark's crush."
Jino shook his head. Setting aside how melodramatic it would be to steal a friend's goddess, Lana Lang's long list of ex-boyfriends alone was enough to keep Jino at a distance.
"Then what were you just thinking about?"
"Nothing."
Jino shook his head, but his gaze swept over Coach Watt's hands.
Under the scrutiny of X-ray Vision, Jino could clearly see green energy surging in Coach Watt's hands.
This guy, he's awakened a Superpower too. A smile played on his lips. Jino felt things were about to get very lively.
Just as the group entered the classroom, Clark finished his conversation with Lana Lang and said lightly, "Lana Lang quit cheerleading."
"Quit cheerleading?"
Chloe raised an eyebrow, pulled out a small notebook from her pocket to jot something down, and mumbled, "School goddess quits cheerleading, this is big news."
Clark looked a bit helpless:
"Hey, Chloe, don't be like that."
"Too much has been happening lately. Lana Lang feels she needs to find her true self."
"To find something she's good at."
Listening to Clark defend Lana Lang, Jino sighed, patted Clark's shoulder, and said, "Then this is an opportunity. Seize it."
Clark was stunned:
"What do you mean?"
"He means, go ask Lana Lang what she wants to do, and then..." Chloe nudged Clark's waist with a mischievous grin.
I looked at yesterday's chapter reviews, and readers guessed Doomsday? Doomsday doesn't fit the criteria.
In the DC Universe films, comics, and TV series, Doomsday's origin generally falls into three categories:
1. In the comics, he is a failed experiment by Kryptonian scientists, the ultimate killing machine, originally sealed within Krypton, and freed when Krypton was destroyed.
2. In the films, he is a monster created by the haired Lex using Kryptonian spaceship technology and his own blood, based on General Zod's corpse.
3. In the TV series, he is created by General Zod and his subordinate using Kryptonian creatures.
Here's another hint.
