The rain of bullets from the machine gun was still destroying the pillar behind Dante, and Dante waited for just three more seconds before the unmistakable sign of an empty magazine echoed through the room! Dante swung out from behind the pillar and aimed for the man's neck!
Bang!
A single bullet was all it took to drop the man, and Dante finally released a sigh as he counted the dead bodies and decided that he was done. Dante walked closer to the last man he shot and he saw that the man was still alive. The man was looking at Dante with wide, terrified eyes while trying desperately to stop the blood gushing from his neck! As the man stared up at Dante, a sense of recognition suddenly seemed to come over him as his eyes widened in shock! No wonder his men weren't able to do anything against this man! What was someone like this doing here? Why would they send a lion to take out some rabbits!? If it had been anyone else, then they would have at last stood a chance! The man hadn't recognized Dante before because he had only seen Dante in pictures, but there was no mistaking it! This was the man feared across the entire city as the deadliest killer!
"The Grim... Reaper..."
These were the man's final words, and Dante showed no reaction as he aimed his gun at the man's head and unleashed a bullet!
Bang!
Dante turned away and began walking deeper into the house while looking around at all the rooms in the building for anything of value, and he stopped when he reached a dark room that had some drugs on a wide table. Dante walked in and eyed the drugs closely. There was a single lamp shining down on the table, and it allowed Dante to see that they had been packaging the drugs for sale. The drug was a sort of crystallized powder and Dante narrowed his eyes as he recognized it. Dante took a bit of the powder and put it in his mouth before spitting it to the side like trash.
"Sinestro. It's been watered down and recrystallized. Who the fuck made this shit?"
Dante frowned in irritation at the drug. It was something that had hit the street only a few months ago. No one knew who was responsible for creating the drug or where it came from, but all three families in Stockham City were currently working to try and monopolize the product. Not only was it one of the most highly acclaimed drugs on the market, but it was also medically safe, so it didn't have the negative effects that most other addictive drugs possessed. Any family that managed to find out who was responsible for making Sinestro would have a much higher chance of claiming more territory than the other two families and becoming the next Kingpin family of the city. But this drug here wasn't the original Sinestro. It was second-grade bullshit.
Dante turned around and began to walk out of the house. He knew that none of these fools would know who was responsible for making Sinestro. They had only gotten a small amount of the original drug somehow, and they watered it down and recrystallized it to sell to fools who didn't know the difference. It was a foolish attempt at becoming big-time gang members at best. Jason brought out a cloth and began cleaning his gun while walking out of the house, but he stopped when he saw one of the men that he had shot in the stomach stumbling out of the building! The man was still able to run relatively fast, so he got out of the door and was about to run down the street and go free!
"Argh!! Wait! Wait!!"
Bang!
A gunshot rang out through the street, and Dante reholstered his gun and walked out of the building. Risa had raised her maid's outfit up above her knee to expose milky white legs held tight by her long black stockings, and she was in the process of reholstering her Colt 1911 pistol. She held the arm of the man who had run out of the building in a painful grip, and once she let go of his arm, he fell to the ground at her feet and began bleeding across the floor. Risa rearranged her maid's outfit and put her hands in front of her respectfully before speaking.
"I apologise for the mess, master; a rat almost got away. I'm glad to see you are unharmed."
Dante hummed as he began walking back to their car for them to leave. There was no chance that these people would ever be able to harm him. This was way below his skill level, and Risa knew that more than anyone, so she didn't even need to worry. Risa opened the car for Dante to enter, but before Dante could get in, Risa spoke up again.
"Your suit is dirty, master. We'll have to return to the penthouse so you can change out of it before your meeting."
Dante scoffed! Of course, Risa would notice that single blood stain on his trousers. Why in the world did he think she wouldn't? Dante got into the car and leaned back calmly while speaking to Risa.
"Send three cleaners to dispose of the bodies by tomorrow. But before then, tell the regional boss to open up the street again so people can pass through and take pictures. The boss wants to send a message, so we need to make sure enough people know about this."
"Of course, master."
Risa answered respectfully and she started the car and drove off. Her phone suddenly rang and she put one of her AirPods in and answered quickly. Dante turned to the side to watch the scene passing beside him. It had been a week since he had his conversation with George by the lakeside, and a part of him still felt like there were a lot of things he needed to say to the boss. George was like a tired veteran of a never-ending war, and Dante could tell that he needed some peace in the last years of his life.
'Maybe I should send the boss on a holiday. I can find him a beautiful woman and send them both to the Maldives for the summer. It doesn't matter how tired a man is, he'll instantly feel better with a beautiful woman beside him.'
Dante was suddenly jolted out of his thoughts as he saw something strange appear in the air in front of him.

Dante blinked, and then he blinked again to make sure that he was actually seeing properly. He turned to glance at Risa, but he didn't see any reaction from her, and he immediately knew that Risa couldn't see what he was seeing! System? Host?
'What the actual fuck is—?'
Screech!
Dante's eyes hardened as the car suddenly screeched to a stop! He looked around for any sign of danger while reaching for his gun, and he was surprised when he didn't see anything. Dante turned forward with a frown and asked Risa what the hell was going on, and Risa looked at Dante through the rearview mirror and spoke with more shock in her voice than Dante had ever heard before.
"That was the family physician, master. The boss… he's dead."
Dante's eyes narrowed and he could only respond with one word.
"What?"
