Dante nodded along as he read everything the system sent. That made a lot of sense. Dante already assumed that charisma would work like this, but reading it directly from the system just cemented that fact. Dante had been in many relationships with women over the past five years, and he knew that he commanded enough presence as both the head of the Cleaners and a member of the Lucas family, but if the system was going to make it easier for him to influence others, then he wasn't going to refuse it!
But now that Dante had a basic idea of how the system worked and also all the things that it could help him do, it was time for him to finally think about what the hell he was going to do with this. Dante knew that the system was a very useful tool. It would make him a more dangerous hitman, and he would be able to complete his jobs quicker than before. But from the things that Dante read in his system tab, Dante knew that the system was actively trying to make him the greatest gangster in the world! The system was basically going to do everything in its power to make sure Dante gained more businesses and territory and grew his gang quickly.
But that was where the main problems started, because Dante didn't own a gang. Dante had never even been in a position where he could say he was the boss of a gang! Before joining the Lucas family, Dante had lived in the lowest region of District Seven, far away from the Luca family territory, and it was only because the boss came to find him there that Dante managed to become the man he was today. And now that the boss was dead, Dante's life mission was to ensure that the boss's kids were well taken care of.
Dante promised George that he would look after his family and stand by his children. Fredrick was going to be inheriting the family business and the title of boss, so Dante's job was to make sure every threat to Fredrick and his siblings was taken care of. That was what Dante had decided would be his life's work and he didn't have any intention of betraying his promise to George. If Dante wanted to do what the system told him to do, then he would need to do one of two things. The first thing he could do was to break away from the Lucas family and form his own gang. That wasn't something that was impossible for him to do. Even though Dante was just a Cleaner in the family, he was still one of the most respected fighters and he had hundreds of men who followed his every order. If he told them to break away from the family with him, they would. But that was something that Dante couldn't see himself doing.
The second thing Dante could do was to betray the Lucas family and take the position of boss away from the main family. Dante felt disgust rising in his heart once he thought about this. There weren't many things that could make Dante irritated, but betrayal was the one thing Dante just couldn't stand! The Lucas family had given Dante everything he had, and Dante refused to spit in their faces after all of that! Even if Dante knew he had the ability to fight his way through the entire family and take the position by force if he wanted to, he would rather die than do something like that.
"So now what…?"
Dante asked this question to the system, and he felt his brows furrow as the system came back with a single sentence.
[The user will learn the path forward in the coming days.]
What the hell is that supposed to mean? Dante asked the system to explain it properly, but the system stayed silent and unresponsive to the questions. It was obvious that the system wasn't interested in telling Dante anything more than what it had already told him.
Knock. Knock.
A gentle knock echoed off Dante's door, and Risa opened it and spoke respectfully.
"Your meal is ready, master."
Dante released a calm sigh as he gave one final glance to the system, and he decided that this wasn't worth losing any sleep over. Dante would wait for the 'path forward' that the system was talking about. If Dante didn't like what happened, then he would simply do whatever he wanted. He wasn't going to allow some fucking system to tell him what to do with his life. Dante stood and grabbed a shirt from the side before following after Risa.

[Two Days Later]
[The Lucas Mansion]
It was the biggest news to hit Static City in the past ten years. It didn't matter how hard the Lucas family tried to keep the news of George Lucas' passing out of the news and away from the ears of the other families, there was no way anyone could hide the passing of a man as great and influential as George Lucas! The mansion belonging to the Lucas family was located on a thousand acres of land that stretched across the length and breadth of a grassy plain! The mansion itself was a two-story plaza with an old Victorian-style design that showed it had been standing for more than two hundred years already!
It was made mainly from cobblestone and strong mahogany wood, and there was a large fountain at the front of the house that had a statue of a cupid standing in its center. The front of the estate had a large gate that was made from gold and silver, and it had the symbol of the Lucas family – the letter 'L' written in a fancy font with two golden feathers surrounding it. There were guards stationed at various strategic points around the estate, and they each wore black combat attire and carried automatic rifles as they looked around critically for any sign of danger.
On a normal day, there would only be three high-end cars parked in the estate. Two of those cars belonged to the Matron of the house. One was a red Ferrari that she had gotten as a gift from George Lucas and the other one was a simple Mercedes that she drove around for errands. The third car had belonged to the boss and it was an Aston Martin DB9 that he loved more than anything in the world. Whenever George Lucas spoke to Dante about the DB9, he always said that no car ever made or that would ever be made could rival the grandeur of the DB9.
But today, the entire estate grounds were packed with various cars belonging to the various people who had come to the mansion from various parts of the city. Grand-looking men and women in expensive attires came down from their high-end expensive-looking cars. Each one of these people belonged to the Lucas family in one way or another. Either they were part of a very extended family that ran for generations down the lineage, or they had married into the family in various ways. Third cousins, distant grand aunts, great-grandchildren from family branches that were almost unheard of! They all gathered in the main mansion of the Lucas family today in order to pay their respects to George Lucas.
