Dante's watch wasn't in the cupboard anymore! What the fuck? Where is it!?
[The watch given to the user by former user 'George Lucas' was the container that held the system. The user now possesses the Essence of that watch in the form of the system, so the watch no longer exists.]
Dante frowned once he heard this. So the watch was actually the system? Dante wasn't really happy about losing the watch because it was one of the last things that George had given to him. Dante could tell that George really loved that watch, but now it was gone. Dante shook his head and finally asked the system another question.
"What exactly can you do?"
[The system is an advanced intelligence that was created to aid a single user to reach the pinnacle of his chosen field of expertise. The user has chosen to be a 'Gangster' in his life, and that is what the user is best at; therefore, the system's job is to aid the user in becoming the greatest of all Gangsters. As for what the system is capable of doing, it is divided into two parts. Firstly, the system has augmented the user's body in a way that would allow the user to improve his physical stats at a rate that is much higher than any other human alive. This will give the user the ability to reach and surpass the peak of all human physicality.]
Dante leaned back against his worktable and folded his hands while talking to the system.
'Peak physicality? I think I'm pretty fit for a human. I don't see any regular human defeating me one-on-one.'
The system almost seemed to chuckle in amusement when it brought up its next tab.
[It is a good thing that the user is so confident in his own abilities, but the user cannot truly believe that what he possesses at this point in time is worthy of being called 'peak physicality'. As of now, the user possesses two times the stats that a regular man would possess, and he would be capable of putting down dozens of men with the right weapon. But over the years, the system has seen humans who possessed at least ten times the strength of a regular man. These humans reached this strength using hard work and various other forms of augmentation. The user will be nothing but a child in front of these humans.]
'Oh…'
Dante rubbed the back of his neck with a complicated look on his face. In the past five years, Dante had grown at a pace that was considered abnormal in the city of Sockham and even though he was only twenty, he was regarded as one of the strongest men in the entire city. He knew that there weren't a lot of people who would be able to put up a good fight against him and he felt confident that he was at the peak of his physical state! So hearing that there were humans out there who were five times stronger than him didn't really sit right with him. It almost made him… angry.
[Anger is a good emotion. It is what drives the user to become better than before and it is the reason the system decided that you would be the best partner for it. The user possesses a cold anger that can drive him to challenge the entire world if he needs to! This is the evolution the system needs in a partner! The system is the best in the world, so it is only right that the system's partner is also the best in the world!]
Dante couldn't stop the strange smile from spreading on his lips when he heard the system say this. It was almost like listening to one of those mentors you would normally see in TV shows as they drive their students to become the best no matter what. It was endearing in its own way and it made Dante trust the system just a little bit more.
'Okay, I'm pretty weak. So, how exactly are you going to help me get stronger?'
Dante finally began to become more relaxed as he asked this next question, and the system answered in the same relaxed tone as always.
[The system already said that it augmented the user's body. As the user performs actions, the user will realise that he is capable of growing far faster than ever before. But in addition to this, the system is capable of presenting skills and missions to the user. Missions are specific tasks the user will be expected to complete in order to receive rewards, and skills are unique actions or abilities that the user can gain through repeated or single use. Would the user like a demonstration of these features?]
Dante read through everything the system put up rather quickly. He was able to immediately understand what the system was saying, but he still found it hard to grasp what exactly the system meant by skills and missions, so he decided to take the demonstration. Dante responded with a yes, and the system immediately brought up another prompt.
[Please wield your gun in a proper manner.]
Dante hummed before he pushed off his worktable and moved closer to his bed. He reached under his pillow and grabbed a Glock before he pointed it toward his reflection in the mirror.

Dante felt a surge of information fill his brain and body once the system gave him the skill! Dante knew that he was very good at handling weapons, and he had been shooting guns since he was fifteen, but all of a sudden, it felt like he was realizing things about the gun that he had never known before. Dante's feet shifted into a proper position for shooting without him even having to think about it. His shoulders dropped slightly and he locked up his forearm as he corrected his posture.
'Holy shit, I feel like I've been reborn!'
Dante now knew that the system hadn't been joking when it said it had augmented his body. Dante literally felt like he had gotten better in just those few seconds, and he knew that his shooting would also have become more accurate! But Dante frowned at something he read on his tab.
'Firearm Rank C? Isn't that bad? What the fuck is this? I'm one of the best shots in the freaking city!'
Dante couldn't help but feel slightly irritated when he saw the rank of his firearm skill.
