He pushed several times, but the Grunt showed no signs of waking up. Startled, he was about to shout when he suddenly sensed a movement behind him. He quickly turned, only to see a dark, round, large face pressed against his. Before he could even scream, a wide, thick tongue, coated with a bit of drool, licked his face. Instantly, he felt the world spin, and like his comrade, he directly fainted to the ground.

"Heheheh…" Gastly chuckled mischievously. "Sweet nightmares!"

After taking care of the two Team Rocket Grunts, Gastly surveyed the various monitoring equipment in front of it. It condensed a Shadow Ball and slammed it into the main console. The next second, with crackling sparks, rows of screens all went dark.

"That should do it."

Looking at its handiwork, Gastly nodded in satisfaction. Just as it was about to disappear, the walkie-talkie nearby suddenly crackled to life.

"Monitoring room? I think I just heard something. What's going on there?"

Gastly's body began to change, eventually transforming into the appearance of the Team Rocket Grunt from earlier. It picked up the walkie-talkie and, using the exact voice and tone of the original Grunt, replied, "Reporting, everything is normal here. The sound just now was me accidentally bumping into a chair."

"I see," the person on the other end of the walkie-talkie showed no suspicion. "Continue monitoring!"

In the 15th-floor office, Ethan again poked his head into the corridor. Seeing the red light on the monitor disappear, he knew Gastly had succeeded. He gestured to Sabrina, and the two quickly headed towards the stairs. In this situation, they naturally dared not take the elevator; if they were discovered, there would truly be nowhere left to retreat.

However, unexpectedly, they got off to a bad start. Just as they were about to reach the stairs, a flurry of footsteps suddenly came from within. Ethan's heart leaped. The footsteps were incredibly close, seemingly about to meet them in an instant. And since they had already walked quite far, there was definitely no time to return to the previous room.

Before he could react, Sabrina grabbed his sleeve and pulled him into a nearby room. They had just closed the door when they heard a few people emerge from the stairwell, surprisingly entering their floor!

Ethan and Sabrina exchanged glances. Both knew that they were still far from the top floor and absolutely could not reveal their presence. They simultaneously turned to look for a hiding place.

This room seemed to be a recreational room for Silph Co., containing a few pool tables and sofas, with green plants placed in the corners. In the very back, a row of tall lockers stood side-by-side. They quickly walked to the lockers, reaching out to pull the cabinet doors, but pulled several in a row, all of which were locked!

Just as Sabrina was about to use her psychic powers to open the locker, Ethan happened to open one. Seeing that this locker was just big enough for both of them to hide, and hearing the footsteps getting closer, Sabrina didn't hesitate and quickly squeezed inside first. Ethan took out a Poké Ball, recalled Kirlia, and also squeezed into the locker.

However, no matter how large the locker was, accommodating two people was still quite cramped. Ethan and Sabrina were pressed close together, making physical contact inevitable. Even their breaths landed on each other's faces. At this moment, however, neither had time to think about it. As the recreation room door opened, several Team Rocket Grunts slowly walked in.

One of them said, "Everyone, search thoroughly again. Don't miss anyone!"

"I say, Captain," someone replied, "Didn't we already search the entire building once? Why do we have to search again?"

"Idiot," the captain snapped. "This company is so big, and those researchers are very cunning. There might be some stragglers hiding somewhere. Our plan cannot afford to fail. Keep your eyes peeled and search carefully again!"

The footsteps gradually approached. One of the Team Rocket Grunts walked to the lockers, reaching out to pull a door, but it wouldn't open. He shook it hard. After confirming it couldn't be opened, he moved on to the next locker. Several in a row were locked. When he reached Ethan, Ethan's heart sank, and he was ready to burst out the door. However, when the Grunt reached out to pull the cabinet door, he found that, just like before, it remained completely motionless.

"Why are they all locked?" the Team Rocket Grunt mumbled softly.

Ethan was surprised and turned to look at Sabrina. It turned out she had activated her psychic powers.

The captain, in another part of the room, asked, "Can't you open them? Huh? They're all locked? Never mind then. Let's quickly move on to the next room."

"Ugh?" someone complained. "Captain, let us rest for a bit. We've been searching several floors continuously; we're really tired."

"Exactly, let us rest a bit," the other Team Rocket members echoed.

After a moment's thought, the captain finally nodded. "Alright then, let's rest here for five minutes. We'll continue our operation after five minutes."

Several Grunts cheered and quickly sat down on the sofas.

Inside the dimly lit locker, Ethan and Sabrina remained silent. The air circulation here was poor, and as time passed, it became murky, and the temperature slowly rose. In the recreation room, the Team Rocket Grunts, taking advantage of their rare rest, let their minds relax and began to chat idly.

"Captain, what's the purpose of such a huge operation this time?"

As low-ranking Grunts, they didn't know much about the details of this operation, but being curious, they wanted to use this break to inquire something from their captain. At first, the captain was unwilling to disclose anything, but unable to resist their barrage of questions, he hesitated for a moment and then spoke.

"Alright, alright, I can't say much, but I can reveal a little," he cleared his throat lightly and continued, "Besides the company's assets, our true objective is a special kind of Poké Ball they are secretly developing—the Master Ball!"

"Master Ball!?" a Grunt asked blankly, "What's that?"

"It's the most precious Poké Ball," the captain said, a look of longing on his face as he talked about the Master Ball. "It is said that no matter what kind of Pokémon it is, as long as you use this ball, it can capture it with 100% success, even without a battle or draining its stamina!"

"That powerful!?" the Team Rocket members gasped in astonishment.

"Of course," the captain laughed. "Otherwise, why would we, Team Rocket, go to such great lengths to occupy this place? If we truly obtain this Master Ball, catching powerful and rare Pokémon will no longer be just a dream!"

Ethan and Sabrina are deeply entrenched within the occupied Silph Co. building, narrowly escaping detection thanks to Sabrina's quick thinking and psychic powers. Now, hidden inside a locker, they've overheard crucial information: Team Rocket's true objective is to acquire the Master Ball, a legendary Poké Ball capable of catching any Pokémon with 100% accuracy.

What will Ethan and Sabrina do with this vital information? How will their understanding of Team Rocket's ultimate goal change their strategy, and what new challenges will they face in their quest to stop Team Rocket and secure the Master Ball?
