On the sea, Ash and Brock, who had surfaced before Ethan, had already found several pieces of wreckage and pieced them together to form a makeshift floating platform. Seeing Ethan and the others emerge, they quickly reached out and pulled them from the sea.

"We're finally safe!"

James lay on his back on the planks, drenched, gazing at the blue sky and white clouds, feeling as though he had just walked through the Sanzu River. Ethan also removed his diving goggles, untied the rope, released Meowth, and recalled Magikarp into its Poké Ball.

Under the warm sun, the surroundings were calm, filled with debris floating up from the S.S. Anne. Yet, apart from their group, not a single person could be seen.

Brock, with his squinted eyes, scanned the area, then said disappointedly, "It seems all those who escaped in the lifeboats have already left."

"What do we do now?" Ash asked. But as he spoke, he noticed Misty kneeling with her back to everyone, two blushes on her face. "Strange, Misty, what's wrong?"

Misty quickly stood up, shaking her head. "Nothing, I just choked on some water earlier. I'm a bit uncomfortable." She tried to compose herself, but her gaze couldn't help but dart back and forth between the rebreather in Ethan's hand and his lips. In an instant, her face turned even redder.

Walking in front of Ethan, she shed her usual lively and tsundere demeanor, whispering, "Thank you so much for earlier." Ethan naturally understood what she meant. However, the situation had been urgent, and he hadn't thought of anything else; saving lives was, of course, the priority.

"Don't worry about it," Ethan lightly coughed, feeling he was perhaps protesting too much. He decided to say no more and turned his head to Ash. "Ash, send out your Pidgeotto. Have it fly around nearby and see if there are any passing ships or islands."

Ash released Pidgeotto and gave it instructions. It first circled above them twice, seemingly finding its direction, then flapped its wings and flew into the distance. It wasn't long before Pidgeotto returned. It seemed to have made a discovery, landing on Ash's shoulder and constantly gesturing with its wings.

As a Pokémon that could speak human language, Meowth now took on the role of translator.

"It says there's a port town not far ahead!"

Hearing the words "port town," everyone's spirits lifted. They directed the Water-type Pokémon to swim towards the town…

Maiden's Peak, a small port town located between Vermilion City and Saffron City. Though small, this town was quite prosperous. Not only did it have a large population, but with a natural harbor and its location on a major transportation route, many ships passed through daily, making it very lively.

Paddling to the port, as Ethan and the others stepped onto the fine sand, the Team Rocket trio instantly regained their vigor. They somehow produced two roses and stood back-to-back.

Lightly sniffing the roses' fragrance, Jessie scoffed, "Now that we're here, it's time to say goodbye!"

"That's right!" James, with a rose in his mouth, said suavely, "Although we're grateful you saved us, next time we meet, we won't go easy on you!"

"Meowth, that's right!"

With that, amidst maniacal laughter, they turned and ran towards a large rock by the sea, disappearing from view.

"I can't stand them!" Misty sighed. "But I don't have the energy to deal with them right now. I'm completely drenched; it's so uncomfortable. All I want is a good hot shower and a long, comfortable sleep!"

Indeed, it wasn't just Misty; even Ethan was exhausted after all that ordeal.

"Then let's hurry to the Pokémon Center to rest."

Ethan tightened his backpack, about to walk forward, when he suddenly felt a strange sensation. He turned his head to a small pier in the distance and saw a woman with long, pinkish-purple hair, dressed in a white gown, standing quietly there. A gentle breeze ruffled a strand of her hair, revealing a delicate and beautiful profile. But for some reason, a faint sadness lingered around her.

Brock, nearby, seemed to have also noticed the woman. His eyes turned into heart shapes, and he couldn't help but gasp.

"What a beautiful woman!"

Hearing the sound, Ash and Misty looked into the distance but saw nothing.

"What are you looking at?" Misty asked curiously. "There's nothing there!"

Ethan blinked. In just a moment of distraction, the woman's figure had vanished!

Continuing along the road, when they reached the Pokémon Center and checked in, Ethan learned from Nurse Joy where they actually were.

Maiden's Peak? The ghost of a beautiful woman and a Gastly…

Remembering the related plot from the anime, Ethan couldn't help but smile. They had unwittingly arrived here.

"By the way," Nurse Joy said with a smile, "You've come at just the right time. This town is currently holding its Summer Festival! There's a grand parade, a bonfire party, and lots of snacks! If you can, don't miss it~"

Misty, being a girl, and Ash, with his youthful enthusiasm, naturally yearned for such an event. However, everyone's stamina had reached its limit. After discussing a meeting time, they each returned to their rooms to rest.

In fact, as public buildings offering free lodging, the accommodation conditions at Pokémon Centers varied by region. For instance, in Maiden's Peak, being a small town, the Pokémon Center wasn't very large. The boys' dorm, for example, was just a clean small room with two bunk beds.

But for Ethan, the pristine white bedsheets at that moment seemed to possess an immense magical pull, making him want to simply collapse onto them. Despite his exhaustion, he forced himself to take a quick shower, threw his clothes into the dryer, and then finally collapsed onto the bed, falling into a deep sleep.

The sun began to set. He slept until dusk before groggily sitting up from the bed. Seeing Ash and Brock still sound asleep, he shook them awake, then knocked on Misty's door. The group reunited and left the Pokémon Center together.

By now, the entire town was completely enveloped in the festive atmosphere of the festival. Countless people in elaborate costumes paraded behind floats, moving through the town. Amidst the laughter and joy, the mood of both town residents and travelers like Ethan became much happier.

Ethan and his companions, along with Team Rocket, have successfully escaped the sunken S.S. Anne and found themselves in Maiden's Peak, just in time for the Summer Festival! Ethan even spotted the ghostly figure associated with the town's legend.

How do you think Ethan will experience the Summer Festival at Maiden's Peak? Will they encounter the legendary ghost, or will Team Rocket cause more trouble during the festivities?
