Chapter 25 - The Bonfire

Andria's POV

I wonder why these three were acting all cozy around me.

"You know, Aria, we are the most popular she-wolves in school, and we get the most popular Alphas." Tracy started trying to pull me away from Mel and Larissa.

Mel and Larissa kept moving; they didn't notice when I stopped.

"Until you came, you managed to steal the successors' hearts. I wonder how you did it?" she continued, signaling to her other minions.

"And we thought maybe you should be the fourth person in our group, it's going to be fun being popular," Alexa added with a high-pitched voice.

"It won't be suitable for the Alpha successors to be with someone who isn't popular," she chirped on, and I just fizzled out for a second, wondering what sort of clowns these trio are.

"And who told y'all that I'm interested in getting their approval?" I removed Tricia's hands from my shoulders.

"Now if y'all would excuse me, I have some catching up to do," I said, turning to leave, but Tracy wasn't letting me go without saying the last words, "You will regret it, Aria."

I turned back to her, looking straight in her eyes, "The only thing I regret right now is giving you all a chance to talk to me," then I turned back and walked to the side where Mel and Larissa were already seated.

"Looks like the popular trio is warming up to you," Larissa remarked. I was beginning to grow tired of Larissa's snide remarks in the name of a joke; I had to call her out on that.

"Nobody is warming up to me, Larissa. Enough of these weird talks."

"Why are you such a killjoy? I was just joking," Larissa retorted. Okay, I'm not going to be fighting Larissa today, so maybe I might just bounce to the front row and sit alone. Thank goodness I had my airpods with me.

"Aria, just ignore Larissa, she is in one of her bad moods, take it from me, her longest friend." Mel tried coaxing me from entering a fierce banter with Larissa, unknown to her, I didn't even feel like it either.

"Mel, you don't have to bother about it, I'll just leave you two to sort it out, I'm moving to the front row."

"Go join your new friends," Larissa added. At this point, I knew that Larissa was just triggering me deliberately and bantering words with her would only do her a favor.

"She is like this sometimes, ignore her," Mel made excuses for Larissa's annoying behavior, and well, I'm so short-tempered to tolerate it.

Just as I turned to move, they walked in. Their scents combined hit my nostrils, and I felt my body warm up, my cheeks flushed, my heart beating chaotically. I wished that they didn't have such an effect on me.

Damon smirked at me. There was so much excitement in his eyes; he was the first to spot me while they headed to their reserved spot.

I just walked to the second seat on the front row, ignoring the way he looked at me like I was a snack. He soon left the company of his friends and started to walk towards me.

Meanwhile, I had my eyes on Aven for the stunt he pulled on me in the library yesterday and today.

"You look lonely, miss, and your mate won't mind entertaining you," Damon winked at me in a way that should be flirty, but I ended up cringing so badly.

"For starters, Mr knight in shining armor, I'm not lonely to say the least, in fact I think you are the one who needed my company and so you came, and so if you will excuse me I'll like to leave this seat for you," I fired back clearly irritated with his manner of speaking. Still, I thought that I might have reacted because I didn't want to risk him finding out his effect on me.

"Take it easy now, mate, I was just trying to be gentle," then he leaned into my ears, "Because I'm not always that gentle on the other side."

His voice sent cold shivers down my spine, and Athena was excited; my cheeks turned a bright pink.

"Hmm, that scent of yours, for a moment, I thought you had lost it."

He then stood up and left to join the other two. That's when it hit me, I had forgotten to apply the ointment on my tattoo, that's why my scent was evident to him.

I contemplated running back to my dormitory after confronting Aven and just enjoying the bonfire night while avoiding those who might trigger the scent.

The cheerleaders had the floor immediately after the drama group was done. I had to join one of these activity groups soon to increase my grades, maybe wrestling, weird right?, I snickered at the thought of probably being one of the few girls in a wrestling activity group.

I was so engrossed in watching the activity groups perform that I didn't know when Aven and Tristan joined me. Were they taking turns to torment me now?.

"Your friends are over there. Why are you here?" Tristan said, gesturing to Mel and Larissa.

"That's none of your fucking business, and leave me alone, stalkers." I fired back at them

"What did we do to make you call us stalkers?, We haven't even started stalking you." I could feel Tristan's breath fan my neck, leaving goosebumps there.

"And what is the crime if we are just stalking our mate?" Aven drew closer to me, and I was stuck between them before they separated and relaxed into their seats.

And now I regretted not just confronting Aven and just leaving for the dorms because I felt myself heat up, and I'm pretty sure my scent was all over the place.

"I can smell you by the way, and you smell…."

"I just need you to shut it, Aven. Why did you pull that stunt with the book you were aware was a limited edition, and I wanted to read?" I screamed at him before he could finish his sentence. I wasn't going to watch them torment me this way.
