Sylus's POV.
*Sigh*
It's been two hours since the meeting ended, I'm currently at the beach, sitting in the sand staring at the waves, I don't know where the other boys are I don't wanna know where they are. It's just me and my thoughts as everything fades away.
My captain just dropped a mission impossible on us, how are we going to do this. We're talking about the seven sins here not just anything to toy with. I know it might have sounded easy to them but trust me it's not, a single mistake can cost you your life, those people just want to die.
If you ask me I would say we are okay as three,I wouldn't want it any other way. What about the girls part of them, this team is called Kings and if we have female comrades what will we be called 'Kings and Queens '. No, never. I like it as just Kings and only Kings.
Ten students but we need only four which means some would have to go home, I know someone would die cause it's monstrous beast powerful of mass disasters and distractions they're going to tame not same cute creatures you can keep as house pets.
I know Asta looks cute and all but that's not his true form, these creatures in their real form can be taller than buildings with claws sharp enough to cut through dimensions. But what do I know, captain said if we could do it someone also can.
I stood up and walked into the sea, I stopped when the water reached my knee, if captain wants to add people to this team why won't she go for those outside this world like the boys and I, why pick people from this land.
*Sigh*
Looking at the vast ocean ahead, there is an island to the west, called The West Dekens. The people there are most farmers, growing all kinds of crops and livestock too. I once bought a pet dragon but Asta won't let me keep it, I had to send it back.
" Sylus, dude what are you doing there " I heard Idris's voice.
He was closing in on the beach followed by Diablo, what do they want now. I got out of the water and went up to where there were seated.
" You okay? " He asked .
" yeah, why " I asked back
" you look like you are having a mental war " he answered .
" I don't know about you but this whole thing is unsettling to me" I answered honestly.
" you don't understand the fact that we have been given the right to train people to stand side by side with us" Dia gave me that look when he thinks you are stupid.
" Diablo..... chill okay just chill out for a second and listen to me ..." I tried to explain myself.
" there's nothing to listen to when all of what you say doesn't make any sense " he shot back.
" Idris, tell him how dangerous the whole thing can be " I turned to him for help.
" I don't know man, it seems like a great opportunity to expand the team " he said.
" and of course you being stupid don't understand, do you" Dia continued.
" Am I the only one who sees how dangerous this is " I fought.
" no you are the only one who is paranoid..." Idris said and looked away.
". !WHY ARE YOU'LL AGAINST ME!!! " I screamed.
" No one is against you" Dia sipped his drink.
"Then why don't you...."
" YOU'RE THE ONE AGAINST EVERYTHING " the two of them plus Asta yelled .
Why is Asta putting himself in this, is he against me too he has been silent since the meeting started. Idris and Diablo just looks annoyed. Idris even turned away from me.
' Asta , where the hell have you ass been you can't just pop up and yell at me like that ' I scolded him inwardly.
Seconds later I heard his voice, ' first, I was having a talk with the other sins second it's hard to stay quiet when all you do whining like a baby' I could almost see him roll his eyes.
I cleared my thoughts and look at the boys. " It's not like I'm against everything, I just don't like big changes, no big deal " .
" look " Idris place a hand over my shoulders, " not all big changes comes with bad consequences like what you think. Something it's a great opportunity to a new life like what happened to you" .
His words took me back to my childhood. I was an orphan living with thirty six other orphan children, everything was just great, we played all day and cried together whenever someone gets a family and had to leave, I remember the day we were told of a big change about to occur. We were moving to a bigger house with other orphan just like us.
During the moving day, busses came for the children, I volunteered to help move boxes so both buses left without me, I sat in the car of the sisters who took care of us. During the ride we caught up with the busses but got stuck in traffic on top of a bridge, it was raining terrible.
In a blink of an eye, the bridge was struck by lightning and the entire thing fell, the busses, the cars, others who happened to be on the bridge that time, everything with everyone went straight into the water below.
It wasn't just any water, it was a full running stream that flows into the sea. Everything happened in a flash before I knew it; water was filling the car as it sank. The people rushed out to not drown with the car, but me; I just froze. Not because of what was happening but because of what I saw.
That lightning, is wasn't just any lightning, I saw a creature, something with scales and a head it's body was long, I tried to get to the busses which was sinking faster than any vehicle that fell.
The creature ,I saw it again moving or swimming I couldn't tell. But I came right at me opened it's mouth to swallow me, but I was saved by an angel.
No, a goddess, that was the fast day I met Lady Asha she had her eye sight back then, her eyes were golden, I will never forget. She slayed that monster and saved me but everyone else died.
They sank to the bottom, when their bodies were found it was too late all thirty six of them. Lady Asha took me under her since then, I moved away from that town, later I found out that monster was a Thunder Demon that escaped into our universe.
What's the use now it's all in the past, Laby Asha gave me a new name and identity, she made me who I am now. Maybe I'm afraid of changes because of that day.
It could be why I'm not accepting the news from the meeting earlier.
" you know what" I asked the guy.
" let's do this, let's find new people to sand side by side with us, I'm ready and I'm not complaining about it again " when I finished they all just stared
at me.
" that's the spirit " Diablo raised his cup.
" How about we go to the land at the east side, and find some hot girls to mingle with " Idris suggested and I shook my head.
" come on you know you want it, you could even find a girlfriend in there " he pushed me along over to the yacht and Diablo followed.
Maybe I'm afraid of big changes but the one thing that happened when I was seven was what led to this wonderful family.
I'm excited to see the people who will call them self Kings next to us.
