Three days into the trip and Scarlett was going to punch a wall if she didn't find something to do with her hands.
Don't misunderstand. The farm was nice. The people were nice. The food was great. Everything was great.
But there was only so much sitting around a girl like her could take before her muscles started eating themselves out of spite. She'd been doing morning jogs, push-ups behind the barn, and sparring drills with Kanna in the field, but it wasn't enough.
She needed something else. She needed a project.
Almost as if on cue, Aegis found her doing one-armed push-ups in the yard before breakfast and leaned against the fence post.
"You look like a dog that hasn't been walked."
"Lady Starcaller," she said dramatically, "I FEEL like a dog that hasn't been walked."
Aegis nodded slowly.
"Alright, farm girl. How about this: me versus you, full day of farm work. Loser does dishes for the rest of the trip."
