{Lune}
The light was nice today.
Lune sat on the hill behind the farmhouse with her canvas propped against her knees, watching the others work below.
Her brush moved across the canvas effortlessly. She was painting Aegis, as usual, letting her magic bleed into the brushstrokes and making the painted Aegis seem alive. But, for once, the real-life Aegis looked way more alive than Lune's painted version ever could.
For a brief moment, she took her eyes off Aegis and looked around. At the village. At everything, actually.
She'd built this place.
With a hint of will and a lot of magic, she'd taken a backstory blurb Aegis had written about a farming village and a loving family and she filled it in. She wrote this world so that right at this hour, it would turn this exact shade of pleasant, warm gold.
She felt a little bit of pride in that. Before Aegis, or Emily, came along, she hadn't felt much of anything.
