Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

When I open my eyes, I do a little stretch and release a yawn.

Yesterday, I spent most of my night thinking of a way to help those people. I want to help the broken people, and to do that, I need to mess with their minds. However, the mind and soul are delicate things. I know souls because I am an Archmage of one.

However, I get an idea after thinking about it the entire night.

Using my control over colored mana, I can heal their minds and souls. I have a plan, and it is time for me to heal them.

I stretch, turn to my True Form, and flex my muscles to take off into the sky. I fly through the air and spread my senses through the region. No monsters declaring this region as theirs after I kill the Chameleos. However, I stop when I notice a monster eating the corpse.

I stop and turn around. As I get closer, I can see Rathian eating the corpse. The smaller monsters try to take a taste, but the female wyvern roars in anger at them. However, to my surprise, I can hear what she is saying.

I know that I take the perks that let me know the language of monsters and talk to monsters, but it is only for Apex and Elder Dragons. The Chameleos do not have a chance to talk as I attack him, but now I can hear what the Rathian is saying.

Does that mean she is about to be an Apex Rathian? Interesting.

I put that away for now and descended to the ground. The Rathian immediately lowered her head and showed a sign of submission. She even kicked the corpse toward me. Right. I have an aura of an apex predator and the Alpha of all wyvern-type monsters.

"Alpha… Food…"

Right. I can understand what she is saying. It is broken, but I can understand most of it.

I walk closer to her, showing that I won't hurt her, and sniff her for a second. After a few seconds, I lick her face and walk away. It is a sign of me accepting her as a member of my tribe. That means she can hunt in my territory and grow.

I grab the corpse using one of my legs and throw it at her. I snort and fly once again. I can see the Rathian happily accept her new position and eat the corpse to her heart's content. What? I am not a tyrant. I will not get angry if you don't declare this region as yours.

Also, there is a fact that she was born in this region. I can feel her soul has the same feeling as this region, which is a sign of her being born in this Shrine Ruins region.

Anyway, it is time for me to heal those humans. I fly through the air and go to the camp, where I can see the humans are eating some kind of stew. I land on the edge of the hill, and Miu quickly greets me.

"Welcome back, Lord God."

I nod and say.

"How are the others?"

"As you can see, most of them are doing as well as they can. However, the others…"

"I understand." I nod my head and continue, "Call all of them here. I shall heal their souls and minds."

I watch as Miu and her family call the others. After a few seconds, they stand in front of them. I can taste and feel their fears, but I ignore them. I take a deep breath and call upon the power of the Planeswalker. It is an ancient and powerful force.

I feel the mana in the air, and I take control over the primal mana of the world. Out of the five mana types, I control four of them at once.

I let that mana wash over them. I can feel them tense up, but I ignore them and instead focus on healing them.

Like a seamstress, I guide the strand of the mana into their bodies and souls. The first one is the Green Mana. The Green Mana is like nature itself. No matter how much hardship it goes through, it will always heal. That is what I am doing to them. The Green Mana lets their bodies and minds heal at a steady pace and makes them stronger.

However, using only Green will not be enough. I weave White and Blue Mana to support the Green.

White mana to restore harmony in their minds and souls while also giving them emotional stability and inner peace. Will they forget? No, never. However, those experiences will make them stronger with the help of Green and White.

Blue Mana is the one that ties them together. It gives them back their identity, lets them push back that trauma in the corner of their minds, and restores their cognitive ability to its peak.

Those three might be enough, but I am not done. I use Black Mana as the last mana. Why? Black is associated with death, ambition, decay, selfishness, and power, but that's only part of the picture.

However, Black Mana is also associated with the acceptance of pain, loss, and trauma. It is the force that pushes you forward after a great loss and trauma. Death, after all, is the other side of Life, for there is no life without death.

It symbolizes a new beginning for them.

It is the mana that lets them accept their trauma and pain. However, there is a reason why I use this mana last.

Black mana can go overboard if used alone. Instead of accepting their pain and trauma in a good way, they will get hungry for power so they will not experience the pain and trauma once again. However, with the other three mana already inside their souls and bodies, the Black Mana will balance and let them grow for the better instead of trying to get the ultimate power.

Combining all those manas takes much concentration, even for me. Without my ability as a Planeswalker… I don't think I can do this.

Lucky for them, I am a massive dragon that can go to another world and control magic to its very core. I weave those strands of mana and create a beautiful cocoon around their souls and minds. When I am done, I let the cocoon touch their souls and minds to do their job.

I let them do their job, and when it is done, I pull away my power and look at them. However, to my surprise, all of them ran toward me and hugged me tightly. I can feel their tears rolling down their cheeks and landing on my body.

When I look at Miu and her family to ask for help, they look at me with a smile on their face, and I know they will not help me in this situation.

With a sigh, I let them cry.

After a few minutes, they stop crying, but their eyes are still wet from all the tears. I look at them with as much kindness as possible and say.

"Are you guys good now?"

They nod their heads, and I wave my hand, opening a portal near their village.

"You can walk through this portal, which will take you to Kamura Village. This region is not yet suitable for you to stay. Maybe in the future, but it is unsafe for humans for now."

They hesitate for a second before walking through the portal one by one. One of the broken women looks at me and says.

"W-Will we be able to see you again, Lord God?"

I nod and say.

"Of course. Once the region is kinder to your kind, you can enter, and I will know."

She nods and follows the others. When all of them walk through the portal, I slowly close it and look to the sky.

I wonder what I need to do now. Let's do another experiment with my magic. Maybe making magical items because I am an Artificer, after all.
