Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

This world is beautiful. The Shrine Ruins area truly deserves its title as a Mystical Place. The scene from the game does not do it justice. However, there is something that is different from the lore I know.

This place is supposedly a place where the Gods once stayed before they left and let the monsters take over the place.

Well… I don't feel any higher being in this area or even a residue from the higher being. I can feel through my planeswalker power that a higher being is near this realm, but it is not moving or even waking up.

I have a theory that it is the creator God of this universe and only wakes up when something tries to destroy this world.

Let's let the massive dragon sleep. Even with all of my power, I don't think I can beat a Creator God. At least not yet. I think I can defeat one eventually, but it will require years, decades, to beat one.

For now, I will ignore any creator Gods and let them do whatever they want. I will react if they decide to mess with me, but I will not start any trouble with them.

Right! Let's put that aside for now. I fly through the clouds, look at the land, and realize something. Shrine Ruins is huge. Now I understand the reason why there is a sub-camp in this area. They need it because exploring the entire area is impossible in a single day.

Speaking of camp, I found the abandoned one on top of a small hill, hidden between a thick bamboo forest. I do not feel or see any living beings around the camp. I fly down, change to my dragonoid form, and land next to an abandoned camp.

I look at the 'camp' and hum a little.

I wonder why this camp was not rebuilt. Is it because of the choice I made in the CYOA? I made the relations between humans and monsters as 'Hostile', after all. Not only that, but I also make the tone of the world Grim. It is not Grimdark, but just below that.

What does that mean? That means almost all monsters are hostile to humans and only select a few who are docile enough for them to domesticate and take care of as pets or food sources.

Not only that, as a Grim tone, this world is a bit darker. What does that mean? Death is rather common in the Hunter profession. Humanity is not united; it has different ideologies and rarely helps each other. Only a certain thing, like a full-blown monster invasion, can get them united.

However, it is not done. Injuries? It is more severe. Unlike in the game, you can get blasted and thrown away by the monsters and get up without a problem. Well, in this world, the monsters are stronger than in the game. They are still tough. In fact, an average hunter can take a medieval cannon head-on without a problem. However, the monsters are still able to punch through that toughness.

Not only that, there is also a curse. You know that you can only hunt alongside three other players in the game? Well, that is the curse. If they hunt with more than four people, something horrible will happen to them. It might be Monster Rampage happening in the area where they hunt, or an Elder Dragon appearing out of nowhere.

There is also the fact that monsters can and will attack humans not only to eat them but rather taking them to their nest, fucking them. Yeah. Don't look at me like that. It is a Lewd CYOA, all right?

I might not want to fuck any monsters but there is no reason for me not to fuck humans in this world. I don't know if this is a Rise Timeline or only the Monster Hunter: Rise location, but if this is the latter, it will be awesome.

Wait. I retract my previous statement. The monsters in this world are VERY different from those in the game. They are more of a human variant of their monster self. I might fuck monsters.

Speaking of fucking, there is a small chance of monster/human breeding resulting in a hybrid child. Think of Wyverians, but with more monster features.

I shake my head and look at the abandoned camp. I can already feel something appear in my mind. I can summon the entire camp and turn it into a brand new camp. However, I need to destroy these old things.

I take a deep breath and release a fire breath to burn all of them. I control the fire so it does not spread, and when it is done, I absorb the fire into my body. I nod and, with a wave of my hand, I summon a new camp for the hunters to use.

If I can create a camp, can I create this entire thing? I take a deep breath and let my power tap the land. I can feel my power register the land as mine and become one of many sources of my mana.

At the moment, my power taps into the area, not the entire Shrine Ruins region. If I remember correctly, I tap into Area 10 if we go by the game's map. There is a mountain, but the most prominent thing in this area is the swamp, and it gives me Black Mana after tapping into the land.

To get the entire region, I need to fly around the region and make it mine. While doing that, I can also scan all the monsters in this region and add them to the list of monsters I can summon.

|3rd POV|

Miu knows what she is doing is suicidal. The other people in the village tell her that her wish is impossible. However, she doesn't care. She doesn't have anything to lose.

Her husband died fighting to protect her and her daughter. Sadly, his sacrifice is in vain as the monsters kill their daughter and manage to run away from the hunters.

There is nothing left for her to do but fulfill the promise she made in the past with her husband. The promise of them wants to be buried in the shrine inside the Shrine Ruins region. It was a promise they made before they married, and she will fulfill it.

She is not a hunter who can fight her way through the region, and she is okay with that. Even when she dies, she will die alongside her family and die in the land where the Gods once lived.

She knows the legend of the gods abandoning them because they did something horrible against the gods, and they are now paying for their sins. The Monster Rampage is proof of the curse. The curse that slowly killed them.

She only hopes the monsters do not take her to their nest and use her body for amusement. She knows that she will break if that happens, and she doesn't know what will happen to her when she breaks.

She pulls the cart with her husband and daughter, walking through the dense bamboo forest. The shrine is only a couple of kilometers away. Just a little bit longer, and she can fulfill the promise she made.

Sadly, her hope extinguishes when a massive monster lands thirty meters in front of her. She can see a three-meter-tall monster with orange fur and a sharp tail walking toward her. There are smaller versions of the monster following the bigger monster.

This is the Great Azuchi, and these smaller monsters are its pack.

"Ah, at least it is a female."

Miu smiles and releases a relieved breath when she sees the breast on the monster's body. She knows that the monster will not violate her and instead will be eaten. However, before the Great Azuchi can charge at her, she can hear a terrifying roar from the sky.

She widens her eyes when she sees a massive shadow covering the sun and landing next to the Great Azuchi. It is a massive dragon, more than 60 meters long and over 15 meters tall. It has black scales with a hint of red in between them.

The dragon has three horns. A pair of jagged horns came out of the side of its head, and a straight, sharp horn came out between the twin horns.

The dragon glares at the Great Azuchi, and it is enough to make the smaller monster run away. Miu's body trembles at the sight of the mighty dragon and prepares for the worst. However, instead of taking her away, the dragon shines, and she widens her eyes when she sees the massive dragon turn into a humanoid version of the previous dragon.

However, what surprised her the most was the dragon looking at her and saying something to her.

"Follow me."
