What Jay and Nining never expected was that they would encounter a piglet that appeared to be about a month old, weighing less than 10 kg.
Seeing this, Jay wasn't happy, but rather wary. It wasn't a good idea to encounter a piglet in the middle of the forest like this.
So, Jay decided to avoid it.
"Look, isn't that a piglet?!" Nining exclaimed cheerfully, startled.
Hearing Nining's voice, Jay panicked slightly, not expecting Nining to act like that.
Handling this situation wasn't easy, especially if the piglet was looking for food.
The mother piglet was certainly not too far away, as she would surely protect her young from any potential danger.
Nining's rather loud voice certainly had the potential to startle the piglet and the mother sow nearby.
And if the sow felt threatened by Jay and Nining's presence, they would certainly become the target of her wrath.
"Nining, you shouldn't scream in the forest. There's danger lurking, so we have to be careful," he urged Nining to keep quiet and start looking for a tree they could climb.
Jay did this, realizing they couldn't be found.
Luckily, they were in the forest and there were plenty of medium-sized and large trees around them.
So, Jay chose a tree that was large enough and looked sturdy. If it were just him, he would have had a much easier time climbing it.
But this time, he had Nining with him, so he was more cautious.
Finally, the two of them managed to climb about 3-4 meters above the ground.
"Big brother, look!!" Nining whispered, as Jay was still trying to find a safe position to hide in the tree.
Nining's whisper caught his attention. He turned in the direction Nining was pointing. A sow weighing about 300 kg appeared from behind the bushes.
The sow large and black, made Jay's heart beat faster.
And again, it wasn't without reason. He imagined that if the sow found him, he would surely be chased by the large boar.
If he were alone, things would be much easier, but he had Nining with him, and he couldn't use his spatial abilities.
What would happen if Nining found out and unknowingly told others about her spatial abilities?
Wouldn't that be a big problem? If he was lucky, Nining's story might just be dismissed as a child's fantasy, but surely his parents wouldn't think that way when they heard Nining's story.
Because Nining wasn't a child who liked to lie, it was possible that his parents would believe it.
So, in this dilemma, Jay could only do the simple thing: get out of the way and find a safe place to let the sow escape on her own.
If an emergency arose, he would still use his space, but he would definitely cover Nining's eyes.
"Big brother, that's a really big pig!" Nining whispered once more.
"Because that pig is big, we have to be careful and not attract its attention," Jay reminded Nining once more.
"Hmm," Nining replied with a knowing expression.
Whether out of curiosity or fear, Nining, after being initially startled, then became silent and simply continued to stare at the pair of sows and their baby wild boars.
At first, Jay thought the two pigs would leave soon, but what Jay never expected was that the sow and her baby boars would actually stay there for quite some time.
Now they were forced to hide in the tree, and that was clearly not a good thing.
Furthermore, Nining was starting to feel uncomfortable staying still for more than 10 minutes. Finally, who knows who did it?
A branch around them suddenly broke and fell to the ground.
"Crack...boom!" Although the branch was medium-sized and not particularly large, it was only about 20 meters away.
This was enough to alert the sow, who immediately looked toward the source of the falling branch.
Seeing this, Jay couldn't understand why this could happen. "Nining, close your eyes and don't open them until I say you can," Jay said in a serious tone to Nining.
Hearing her brother's serious tone, Nining ng also knew that their current situation didn't seem good.
So he followed his brother's instructions and closed his eyes.
Meanwhile, the mother boar slowly approached Jay and Nining, who were in the tree.
Especially when its nose began to sniff vigorously, the mother boar's initially wary eyes turned into angry ones.
Seeing all these changes, Jay knew he had to act, and after ensuring that Nining had properly closed her eyes,
Jay began commanding his space to prepare and receive the boar as he approached the tree where the two had taken refuge.
After a few moments, when the mother boar was about 10 meters away from Jay, Jay immediately commanded his space to take the boar into his space.
Watching the large mother boar disappear into his space, Jay felt happy and relieved.
With this, he knew that the tense situation the two were facing had disappeared.
"Since the mother boar has been cleaned up, let's take the baby boar home," Jay then took out his bow and arrow.
And skillfully began aiming at the piglet that appeared to be approaching them.
Perhaps out of instinct, the piglet, seeing its mother disappear, became curious and boldly approached the direction where she had disappeared.
But what the piglet never imagined was that because of its courage and curiosity, its life would soon be lost.
"Shoot..." Immediately, the arrow struck the piglet, paralyzing it instantly.
"Good...okay, now Nining, you can open your eyes," Jay asked Nining.
After opening her eyes, Nining was shocked and puzzled. Where had the big pig gone?
"Brother, where's the big pig???" Nining asked in surprise.
"Look under the tree." Jay didn't answer, instead turning to look in the direction indicated.
Hearing her brother's command again, Nining was immediately shocked again when she saw that the missing big pig had been replaced by a piglet that appeared to have been hit in the head by an arrow.
"Ehhhh...isn't that the piglet from earlier, brother???" Nining asked again, confused.
"Yes, the big one ran away, so I shot the little one for us to take home," Jay replied with a smile.
"Ugh… little pig," Nining replied in a slightly awkward tone, as if she still hadn't gotten used to what she was seeing.
"Let's save it and quickly find some animal feed so we can get back to the village quickly.
And afterward, we can trade this pork for other tasty necessities," Jay replied, telling Nining.
"Good…" Nining replied happily.
So, as usual, Jay bled the piglet he had shot.
To keep the meat fresh and tasty when we returned to the village.
"Let's go find animal feed now!!" Jay then led Nining back into the forest area south of his village.
