The car came to a slow stop at the dock, and Carl turned off the engine.
"We're here."
Ryan blinked and glanced around, expecting to see a restaurant, but there was nothing but warehouses and the quiet stretch of pier. "Did we pass it?"
"It's over there." Carl pointed ahead, his lips curling into a cheeky smile.
Ryan followed his gesture and saw a huge two-layer boat anchored by the pier, its lights glowed like stars in the distance. Music drifted faintly across the water, and the painted name brought to mind stories of sailors exploring the open sea. This type of riverboat restaurant was usually popular in tourist cities, and Ryan didn't know their city also had one until now.
"We're just in time for it to set sail."
Ryan unbuckled his seatbelt, still blinking in surprise. "At this rate, I'll soon visit all the restaurants in the city."
"I'll have to work harder then," Carl walked over to his side and held out his hand to him. "Your majesty."
