Axis gave Kasha a hug with his power armor on, which made her groan. It wasn't the most pleasant experience to get hugged by a 400 pound jagged armour wearing giant, and Axis knew it.
By the time she broke free from Axis' hug, Russ was laughing, while Lion looked on with an odd look on his face.
Axis' gave Mader a nod.
'Welp, let's show them how Saiyans fight in the cosmos,' he thought.
The battle instincts engraved deep within Saiyan bones were awakening.
Kasha and Mader both raised their hands at the same time, psychic light dancing at their fingertips as they began to cast a warp teleportation spell.
In the very next instant, Axis vanished from the bridge and reappeared in the void of space.
From the perspective of a massive battleship, Axis looked like a tiny atom, almost too small to notice.
His sudden appearance caused no reaction from the enemy fleet.
The Rangda hadn't noticed Axis appear in front of their ships at all.
Or maybe, even if they did notice, they simply didn't care.
As far as the enemy was concerned, a lone astrate floating around in the empty space posed zero threat.
"Be careful, Axis. I'm picking up at least a thousand Rangda warships, and more are coming out of the warp all the time. We need to be ready for a fight at any moment," came Lion's voice through the intercom.
This kid was too arrogant, he thought. This was an entire enemy fleet, and more the rest of the ships was yet to emerge from the warp!
"Trust me. I told you to sit back and enjoy the show. The Emperor sent me here for a reason," Axis replied.
He drew a deep breath.
The Ki within him began to boil, golden energy coursing around his body, golden light even shone through the seams of his power armor.
Axis tapped into a portion of his Super Saiyan power.
Against this fleet, even a fraction of a Super Saiyan's strength would suffice.
As golden light burst forth, and the terrifying energy erupted from within him.
Now, the Rangda fleet had finally noticed this tiny, but utterly menacing energy signature.
Several warships swiveled their gun barrels, locking onto Axis.
Within the Rangda fleet, the commander frowned in confusion.
What the hell was this thing?
A lone human, clad in power armor, stood before their ships.
Was this some kind of suicide attack, or had the humans accidentally left someone behind during their retreat?
But the next moment, the intense energy fluctuations and the golden glow emanating from Axis's body left the Rangda commander stunned.
This power level was extremely high.
It was simply ridiculously high.
"Target the main guns on him! Blow him away!" the Rangda commander barked.
But before they could even open fire, Axis had already raised his right hand, fingers splayed.
A thick golden beam burst from his palm, transforming into a kilometer-wide energy column that instantly struck one of the Rangda warships.
The golden torrent, like a divine lance, tore a blinding rift through the black void.
The Rangda cruiser's void shields shimmered with purple ripples, trying to shunt Axis's attack into the warp.
The Rangda were a race who had mastered void shield tech with nearly all their capital ships equipped with them.
Axis just laughed.
"Void shields can overload, too. Let's see how long you last…I could't even finish the thought."
The terrifying golden energy instantly overloaded the enemy's void shields.
They failed, and the Ki blast smashed into the ship's hull.
Under the onslaught, the stricken warship began to twist and fracture, roaring as it was torn apart, before exploding violently.
In the end, it was reduced to cosmic dust.
The explosion's light flickered across Axis's face, a grin spreading across his lips.
That felt amazing, not as amazing as his legendary super saiyan transformation, but it was amazing.
"Hehehehehehehe!"
Axis' low pitched laugh made Lion, who was observing the battle through the Invincible reason, shudder.
Kasha could only sigh with a smil, the sweet man she so dearly loved would be nowhere to be seen once he started fighting.
"Impossible!" In the command chamber of the Rangda flagship, the xeno commander's three pairs of compound eyes contracted at once.
On the tactical display, the minuscule light representing Axis showed energy readings spiking wildly, already surpassing the output of their heaviest warship cannons.
"Activate all close-in defense systems! Kill that monster—"
But his order was cut off by a sudden tremor.
Axis's figure vanished from the surveillance feed, reappearing in the center of their fleet formation the next second, with a trail of light.
He brought his hands together at his waist, assuming the classic pose from the Dragon Ball universe.
A cerulean energy sphere rapidly swelled in his palms, illuminating the silhouettes of twenty nearby warships.
"Kame—hame—ha—!"
With a roar that somehow sent a ripple through the surrounding space, Axis unleashed an energy wave over a kilometer in diameter.
The leading Rangda battleship tried to evade, but its void shields lasted only 0.0003 seconds before collapsing like bubbles.
The shield arrays instantly overloaded.
Axis's Kamehameha tore through the battleship's vaunted nano-scale armor, ripping the entire vessel in half.
The surging energy wave did not stop there, it plowed a burning corridor of death through the fleet, incinerating any Rangda ship it touched.
Their void shields barely lasted more than a second before their vessels blossomed into brilliant fireballs amid the void.
That deadly beauty was mesmerizing…at least, for Axis.
Suddenly, Axis accelerated, his form becoming a golden comet as he smashed straight toward the Rangda flagship.
Alien gunfire raked his path, but none of it could so much as graze him.
"Warp scanners show a level-zero fluctuation! That's not psychic! Not any known—"
BOOM—!
Axis unleashed another shockwave, piercing through several battleships at once, the lingering energy carving another flaming corridor through the heart of the enemy fleet.
He crashed bodily into the flagship's hull, making the entire warship shudder violently.
The outer armor fractured like brittle glass.
Axis hurled himself into the Rangda ship's interior, greeted by squads of fully armed Rangda warriors.
They were tall, with pitch-black skin, towering over humans, and had insectoid jaws. Now, these alien lifeforms stared at Axis in terror.
Those not wearing protective gear were sucked straight out into the vacuum.
"Hehehehehehe, come at me you insects! Let's see what you've got!" Axis sneered, his armoured hands rubbing together as he ran forward..
His fists and feet became blurs, each strike precisely shattering an enemy's skull or chest.
In mere seconds, the entire corridor was littered with mangled limbs.
Now, they could witness the ferocity of a Saiyan, the utter brutality.
Axis rampaged through the alien ship, facing not a single worthy opponent.
After slaughtering who knew how many, the surviving Rangda began to flee in panic.
They shouted something Axis could not understand, but he guessed it must be words like "monster!" or "demon!"
Laughing wildly, Axis's golden aura flared once again, his hair bristling up and turning gold.
"Tremble, mortals! Before the might of a Super Saiyan! YEEEAAHAHAHAHAH!" Axis bellowed, his body radiating dazzling golden light as he bombarded the ship with a barrage of Ki blasts.
Wherever he passed, there was only devastation and death.
The Saiyan race had already wiped out countless planets, countless lifeforms across the universe.
Each time a legendary Super Saiyan emerged, the cosmos drowned in blood and storms.
Countless worlds and species would be utterly annihilated.
Axis smashed through the ship with savage abandon, obliterating alloy bulkheads and every other barrier in his way.
Every xeos he encountered was reduced to ash beneath the force of his Ki.
Within minutes, Axis had slaughtered every living thing aboard the vessel, there was nothing left but severed limbs and charred lumps of flesh.
Then Axis shot out into space again, heading for the next ship.
He crashed into it just as brutally, tearing a massive hole in the hull.
He continued the massacre.
Some desperate Rangda commanders even ordered their own ships to open fire on the warships Axis had boarded.
In response, Axis generated a shimmering green barrier over his body.
Raising his palm, he formed a massive green energy sphere, which he hurled forward.
BOOM! BOOM!
The ships that dared open fire were instantly blown to pieces.
"The game has only just begun it seems."
More Rangda ships were still pouring out of the warp rift.
Axis gathered another green energy wave in his hand and fired it again.
The green sphere rapidly expanded to a kilometer-wide blast, detonating in the middle of the fleet and wiping out over a hundred Rangda vessels in a single strike.
Yet this slaughter still felt unsatisfying.
Axis set his sights on another Rangda capital ship and shot toward it.
The hunt had begun.
Meanwhile, the human fleet's communication channels had fallen into utter silence.
Both Astartes and mortal officers stared in shock at the sensor feeds.
A lone man was rampaging through enemy ships, leaving only destruction and death in his wake!
"Is… is that really something a human can do?" a Tech-priest asked, voice trembling.
The Tech-priest's legs were shaking, this was terrifying, like a glimpse of hell itself! The sheer implications of it all had stunned the man.
Lion El'Jonson clenched his fists, his eyes shining with a complex light.
Axis's strength far exceeded his expectations, and now he finally understood why Russ said Axis had been holding back that day.
As for Russ, he simply threw his head back and laughed, taking a long pull of mead.
"See that, Lion? That's the strength of my little cub! Don't blink and watch closely. You're about to witness a war the likes of which you've never seen!"
