[Kealthar's Point of View]
The night was quiet, but his mind wasn't.
Kealthar sat under a tree, his back against its trunk. Yasaka was curled up on his chest, her body rising and falling with every calm breath. Her tails wrapped lightly around his leg. She was out cold—exhausted from everything that had happened earlier.
Across the grass, Kunou slept on a cushion of living grass, soft and glowing slightly with warmth. Her tiny face was peaceful, resting without worry for the first time in days.
They were safe.
But he didn't feel relief.
He stared up at the stars above—past the illusion of his personal sky, past the visual layers of his realm—past everything.
And he saw it all.
Creation was… moving.
Not in one direction. Not as one thing. It was everything, everywhere, all at once. Timelines spiraling. Narratives being born like sparks on a forge. Multiverses clashing, collapsing, reforming. Thousands of decisions, lives, deaths, entire realities rising and falling in the time it took Yasaka to breathe once.
And he saw them.
People.
All kinds.
A man, walking alone down a rain-soaked street. His suit was torn, his hands in his pockets. He'd lost everything—his job, his family, his purpose—but he still moved forward. One foot in front of the other. Because he had made a promise, and even with no one left to hear it, he kept it.
In another world, a man sat in a gold-plated lounge surrounded by women, alcohol, and noise. Luxury. Everything he ever wanted. But when the party ended, and the lights dimmed, he stared at the ceiling—empty. Numb. Wondering what it was all for.
There were billions more.
Gods carving galaxies. Mortals crying over small, broken things. Lovers arguing in kitchens. Kings dying on battlefields. Students failing their tests.
Kealthar watched it all. Not out of curiosity—but because he had to.
Because that was his job.
The one no one asked for—but someone had to do.
He gently brushed a lock of Yasaka's hair behind her ear.
She didn't stir."How long have I been doing this?" he wondered. "How many eons have passed since the first war?"Too long to count. Too long to sleep.
Most of the others were gone. The ones who used to stand with him. His brothers, sisters… protectors, defenders, judges. Some were dead. Some chose to fade away. Some were… still out there, maybe, watching in silence.
But Kealthar stayed.
Because someone had to."I'm the only one left," he muttered under his breath. "Still cleaning up after everyone else."And yet, here he was—guarding two people asleep under a tree.
And he'd do it again. Every damn time.
He looked back at the stars. But now, he didn't just see chaos. He saw what he was protecting. This is why I fight. Not for power. Not for revenge. Not even for balance.
But for nights like this.
Quiet. Real. Normal.
He looked up again, voice low."I made a promise. To my family. To the ones who didn't make it out of that war. I'd keep this creation alive. No matter how much it changes. No matter how far it slips. I'd hold the line."His eyes narrowed."Even if I have to do it alone."And when he said those words, creation heard him.
The threads of fate stirred slightly.
Not with applause.
Not with light.
But with acknowledgement.
Because it knew who he was.
Kealthar. First of the Divine Weavers. Final Judge. Guardian of the Border Realms.
The one who never left his post.
He looked down at Yasaka again. Her hand had curled up around the edge of his coat.
He didn't move.
Didn't want to.
Because even with the entire weight of creation unraveling in the background…
This moment mattered.
And he would protect it.
