Chapter 108 - Chapter 108: Alien Army Strikes—Avengers in Crisis!

The screen showed a bustling city filled with life and towering skyscrapers, arranged densely like a concrete jungle. It was a vivid display of modern prosperity.

That was the past.

Now, the once-thriving city was under siege.

Above the city, a massive wormhole had torn open the sky, acting as a portal connecting Earth to the vast reaches of space. From the other side, a colossal spaceship loomed—ominous and silent, a harbinger of destruction.

Through this wormhole, hordes of alien soldiers began to pour into the city, launching a full-scale invasion. Explosions rocked the streets as laser fire rained down, reducing buildings to rubble. The once vibrant city was now engulfed in chaos and flames.

People screamed and fled in every direction, their terrified cries echoing through the ruins. Panic spread like wildfire.

At the top of one of the tallest buildings, a man in armor, holding a scepter, observed the destruction with a satisfied smile.

He was the cause of this apocalyptic scene.

That man… was Loki.

Initially, Jack couldn't identify the world this mission was tied to just from the scene of destruction. But the moment Loki appeared on the screen, it became clear.

This mission belonged to the Avengers Universe—the world where Earth's mightiest heroes stand united.

The image unfolding was from the iconic battle where Loki summoned an alien army to invade Earth. It marked the Avengers' first great challenge.

As expected, the alien assault left the citizens utterly defenseless. And when humanity faces an overwhelming crisis, only superheroes dare to stand and fight.

Iron Man Tony Stark, Thor, Black Widow Natasha Romanoff, the Hulk, Hawkeye Clint Barton, and Captain America Steve Rogers—they all rose to confront the alien threat.

Tony and Thor took to the skies, intercepting the invaders midair. Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Captain America held the ground, fighting off the aliens that reached the streets. Explosions lit up the city as the battle raged.

But these alien foot soldiers were just the beginning.

Soon, something monstrous emerged from the wormhole—a massive behemoth, part organic and part machine. It wasn't just a giant brute. It was a mobile war platform, carrying squads of additional soldiers on its back.

Once it landed, chaos intensified. The behemoth unleashed another wave of destruction as its passengers disembarked and began targeting civilians.

The Avengers were outnumbered, and their strongest assets weren't fully in play yet.

Hawkeye and the others did their best against the ground forces. But no one was available to deal with the towering monstrosity.

Thor, still struggling emotionally with his brother Loki, was not fighting at full strength.

And Bruce Banner—the Hulk—had yet to arrive.

Despite their bravery and powers, the superheroes couldn't prevent the catastrophe. The city fell further into ruin. Skyscrapers crumbled. Cars exploded. Smoke billowed high into the sky.

---

Goku stared at the scene. "Wow… this looks just like when Frieza came to Earth."

Krillin nodded grimly. "Yeah. If we hadn't fought back, this is exactly what would've happened to our planet too."

The alien army's organized chaos reminded Goku and the others of the Frieza Force—the brutal invasion tactics, the civilian panic, the overwhelming power imbalance.

It was all too familiar.

Vegeta scoffed. "Hmph, these so-called heroes are weak. They can't even handle an invasion of this scale."

Piccolo countered, "It's not that they're weak. It's just that there are too many enemies. No matter how strong you are, numbers eventually wear you down."

Vegeta crossed his arms. "Still, a true powerhouse wouldn't have any trouble. Frieza brought over a thousand soldiers before, and we crushed them. The aliens here don't even number that high."

Beerus interjected. "If these Earthlings were capable of handling it on their own, then what would be the point of our mission?"

Champa added, "So the goal is just to help them fight off these alien goons? Seems simple enough."

Beerus smirked. "Sure. But that's only if you're fast enough to grab the mission. Whether it's easy or not doesn't matter if someone else claims it first."

Krillin looked thoughtful. "I wonder who the client is this time…"

---

Back in the image feed, the battle raged on.

Suddenly, a man rode into the scene on a battered motorcycle. His expression was calm, his presence commanding.

Bruce Banner had arrived.

"Dr. Banner," said Captain America, looking relieved, "now would be a great time to get angry."

Banner looked around at the carnage. "You know something, Cap? That's my secret…"

"I'm always angry."

As he spoke, his body surged with transformation. With a roar, Banner became the Hulk.

A moment later, the Hulk charged at the behemoth and delivered a devastating punch that stopped it in its tracks. Buildings shook from the impact. For the first time in the battle, the tide began to turn.

Meanwhile, Tony Stark used precision-guided missiles to suppress the enemy forces. The rest of the Avengers regrouped—Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Thor.

The original Avengers team had officially assembled.

Yet, even after they finally managed to take down the first behemoth, more emerged from the wormhole. As if mass-produced, these creatures kept coming—accompanied by waves of foot soldiers.

Loki, standing atop the Stark Tower, smiled smugly.

The Avengers were forced into a defensive position. Steve Rogers, despite his injuries, took charge and coordinated their efforts.

Each member executed their role, and they began to take down dozens of enemies with teamwork and strategy.

But the sheer number of alien soldiers was overwhelming. The Hulk could smash through waves, but even he had his limits. The others were faring worse under the intense firepower.

And worst of all—they were fighting in a city full of civilians.

Every second the battle dragged on, more lives were put at risk. Buildings collapsed. Roads caved in. Fire and ash filled the air.

From a strategic point of view, numbers don't usually matter when fighting with overwhelming strength.

But the Avengers hadn't reached that level yet. Not individually. Not together.

---

Iron Man and the Hulk were quickly surrounded by enemies. They used every bit of firepower and brute force they had just to hold the line.

Captain America, injured after shielding a child from a blast, struggled to stay on his feet.

Sweat dripped down his brow as he surveyed the battlefield. Alien soldiers were still pouring in. Civilians were still fleeing in panic. Explosions roared in the distance.

It was chaos.

For a moment, he hesitated. He wasn't sure what to do next.

And then—

A mysterious voice echoed in his earpiece.

"Things are looking rough on your side. Need a hand with these alien bugs?"

The Captain's eyes widened in surprise. "Who… who are you?"

The voice replied calmly.

"You don't need to know who I am. Just know that I'm here to help."

Jack's voice was firm but reassuring.

Even though it came out of nowhere, the Captain didn't hesitate.

In desperate times, you don't question miracles.

"You'd be doing us a massive favor," he said. "We need all the help we can get. Thank you—whoever you are."

Despite the chaos, Steve Rogers wasn't shocked. He'd seen too much in his life to be shaken by a mysterious voice.

After all, he'd fought aliens, teamed up with Norse gods, and witnessed the power of the Infinity Stones.

One more mystery wasn't going to break his composure.
