Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: Lord Jack, Buu Might Screw Up the Mission—Let’s Grab It Again!

Ding! The thug mission has been generated!

Mission Objective: Assist the Avengers in stopping the Zeta Rising invasion!

Jack: "The mission has been released. I've posted it to the group chat. If anyone's interested, feel free to grab it."

Beerus: "Lord Jack, you must be joking. When has anyone in our group not been interested in a mission? We're always ready. I doubt anyone here would pass up a chance like this."

Krillin: "Helping people fight off alien invaders, huh? I have to say, I've got a decent track record when it comes to missions like this."

Krillin added proudly, "Back when we were on Namek, or even during Frieza's invasion of Earth—I was dealing with aliens all the time! I've got real experience here!"

Vegeta folded his arms. "In that case, missions like this are practically tailor-made for us Saiyans."

He continued, "Back in the day, invading other planets was exactly what we Saiyans specialized in."

"With our past experience in invading planets, it only makes sense that we'd also be the best at defending them from invasion."

Krillin raised an eyebrow. "Vegeta, I get that you're right… but you're not trying to say that to me, are you?"

Vegeta glanced sideways. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Krillin smirked. "You keep forgetting—I'm a Saiyan now too."

Vegeta scoffed. "Even if you are, you've never actually participated in any planetary invasions, have you? You're still a rookie when it comes to that."

From Universe 6, Cabba chimed in curiously: "@Vegeta, Mr. Vegeta, why did you Saiyans from Universe 7 invade other planets? Weren't those bad actions?"

Vegeta replied without hesitation, "That's just how our race survived. It was our way of life. Isn't it the same for Saiyans in Universe 6?"

Caulifla cut in, "Not at all. The Saiyans of Universe 6 are a bit more like mercenaries—we don't go around invading planets for fun."

Cabba nodded. "Yeah, our jobs usually involve being hired as bodyguards or helping people solve their problems."

Cabba added firmly, "And we absolutely don't accept jobs that involve doing bad things."

Goku grinned. "I didn't expect the Saiyans from Universe 6 to be such good people!"

Krillin laughed. "Goku, don't forget—the Saiyans in Universe 7 aren't so bad anymore either. All the evil ones were wiped out by Frieza a long time ago."

Jack nodded thoughtfully. "You're right. The Saiyans from Universes 6 and 7 are quite different now. It's an interesting topic you can all talk more about later."

Jack continued, "But for now, let's stay focused. The mission has already been released. Go ahead and grab it."

Ding! Congratulations, thug member Majin Buu has successfully grabbed the mission!

Goku's eyes widened. "Majin Buu?! How did he end up grabbing the mission?!"

Vegeta looked irritated. "Majin Buu? That guy's part of the thug group now?"

Krillin scratched his head. "It seems he joined, but he's been so quiet that I almost forgot he was even here."

Champa muttered, "He didn't even say a word in the group chat, and he still managed to grab the mission? That's some ridiculous luck."

Piccolo: "@Majin Buu, Buu, did you even realize you were grabbing the mission?"

Majin Buu replied: "I just woke up and saw everyone rushing to grab it… so I clicked. I didn't expect to actually get it."

Everyone in the chat:

Good grief…

All those people who desperately wanted to grab the mission couldn't get it.

Yet this guy—Majin Buu—just wakes up, taps randomly, and manages to land it?

Truly, fate is unfair.

Krillin: "@Majin Buu, Buu, since you're part of the group, why haven't we seen you speak before?"

Majin Buu: "I didn't know what to say… and I spent most of the time sleeping."

Majin Buu then asked curiously: "If I complete the mission, can I get a reward that makes Satan stronger?"

Champa tilted his head: "Wait, you want to use your mission reward on someone else?"

Majin Buu: "Yes! I want to make Mr. Satan stronger so no one can bully him."

Krillin laughed. "With you around to protect him, and now that he's Gohan's father-in-law and Goku's relative, who would even dare?"

Piccolo added, "We don't know if the mission rewards can be used on other people. No one's tried that yet."

Piccolo: "But if you really want to use it on Satan, it's worth testing out."

Vegeta scoffed. "Hmph. That's assuming Majin Buu can actually complete the mission. He grabbed it, so let's hope he doesn't make things worse."

Tien added seriously: "@Majin Buu, Buu, do you understand that when you're on a mission, the client's requests come first? You can't ignore them or make things worse."

Beerus suddenly grumbled: "Don't forget—this is the same guy who once stole my pudding."

Beerus growled, "He might really screw this mission up!"

Everyone who knew Majin Buu had similar thoughts.

Even though he was no longer the evil Majin Buu of the past, his personality remained unpredictable and unstable.

Only Mr. Satan had any real influence over him.

Without Satan around, Buu had once nearly angered Beerus enough to risk Earth's destruction. That incident alone made everyone nervous about him going solo.

So when they heard Buu had accepted the mission, many members—especially Beerus—felt anxious.

It wasn't about whether Buu was strong enough.

Even though he wasn't ranked among the strongest anymore, he could easily handle the Zeta Rising invaders.

But missions weren't just about winning fights.

You also had to earn a five-star rating.

That meant following the employer's instructions carefully, keeping your cool, and doing your job without going off-script.

And with Majin Buu's unpredictable behavior?

A five-star rating seemed like a long shot.

It wouldn't be a disaster if he got four stars. Even three stars would be acceptable in some cases.

But with Buu, there was a real risk of him earning a two-star or even one-star rating.

If that happened, it wouldn't just reflect poorly on him—it would affect the entire thug group.

Negative reviews could lead to penalties. Even worse, they could deduct group experience, slowing their progress and rank-up potential.

Beerus: "@Group Leader Jack, Lord Jack, how about posting another mission? Let the rest of us have a chance this time!"

Krillin: "Yes, Jack, you might not realize this, but Buu genuinely might mess this one up."

Goku hesitated. "But wouldn't that be unfair to Buu? He's… well, kind of pitiful."

Vegeta snapped, "Hmph! So what? Is one guy's pride worth risking the entire group's reputation and our mission success?"

"If Buu fails the mission, gets a low rating, and triggers a penalty, it won't just affect him—it'll embarrass all of us."

"And worse—group experience will be deducted! That could delay our entire growth as a unit!"
