Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: Wake Up, Tiga! The Solar Flare Rises!

Ultraman Tiga faced off against the Kyrieloid in an intense battle—but he was clearly outmatched and quickly overwhelmed. The Kyrieloid's power was immense, and Tiga struggled under the pressure.

However, Tiga wasn't alone. He had the support of the Victory Team, who jumped in to aid him. With their help, Tiga managed to push the Kyrieloid back momentarily, tossing the monster aside.

Taking advantage of the brief opening, Ultraman Tiga quickly changed into his Power Type form, commonly referred to as the "Big Happy Type" or even the "Arrogant Form." Though Tiga was fundamentally a mage-type fighter—adept at long-range combat—Daigo, the human host of Tiga, preferred a more direct, up-close style of fighting.

It was like watching a skilled mage trying to act like a brawler.

Seeing Tiga transform, the Kyrieloid responded in kind—his form shifting dramatically. Unlike Tiga, whose transformation was mostly a change in color, the Kyrieloid's appearance evolved significantly. His body became more armored, and vicious scimitars emerged from both his wrists.

As both combatants changed forms, one thing became immediately clear—Tiga's new form was not enough. Despite his increased strength, the Power Type Tiga was now taking an even worse beating than before.

Every strike from the Kyrieloid landed with devastating effect, causing critical damage to Tiga. Meanwhile, Tiga's own attacks barely scratched the enemy, as though they were nothing more than a soft breeze.

Soon, the color timer on Tiga's chest began blinking red—a sign of his energy running dangerously low.

Realizing the Power Type wasn't working, Tiga switched to a Sky Type form, one rarely used. He soared into the sky in an attempt to close the gate that the Kyrieloids had been trying to open.

But the Kyrieloid had a surprise of his own. Two giant wings erupted from his back. He, who previously could not fly, now zipped through the air with terrifying speed—far faster than Tiga.

Within moments, he caught up to Tiga and struck him with a punishing blow midair.

Tiga crashed violently to the ground, unmoving.

Above, the Kyrieloid resumed his goal—opening the mysterious gate in the sky.

As the gate widened, a dense, sinister fog poured out, darkening the already dim skies. The world seemed to plunge deeper into despair.

On the battlefield, Tiga lay still. His battered form slowly became engulfed by encroaching darkness.

"Darkness… the only way to counter it… is light!" Captain Megumi suddenly shouted, remembering a legend.

She and her team rushed to help, turning on every possible source of illumination—the headlights of vehicles, floodlights on aircraft, even handheld lights.

But it wasn't enough.

"No… it's not enough! These lights… they're not nearly enough!" Lina cried out, watching Tiga's body slowly fade into the black mist.

To revive Tiga, the energy required was far beyond what normal equipment could supply.

Suddenly, a voice echoed in Lina's mind—calm and clear.

"Looks like you're in trouble. Do you need me to send someone to help you?"

It startled her, but she didn't hesitate. "Yes! I need help—please, Tiga needs help now!"

"Understood. I'll send someone to assist right away."

Ding! Thug Squad Mission Generated!

Mission: Wake up Tiga!

Jack: "@All members, a new mission has been posted. But this one's a little different. The objective isn't to defeat a monster—it's to wake Tiga back up."

Jack: "To do that, he must receive an enormous amount of light. So if you're not capable of providing intense light, don't even try to grab this mission. I don't want to see another failed task."

Inside the Thug Squad Group Chat

Beerus: "@Jack, if the goal is to give him light, I could take him straight to the sun. That should work, right?"

Jack: "That would work—but don't get too close. You might be fine, but Tiga would probably get vaporized."

Beerus: "Haha, got it. I guess that means I'm a valid candidate for this mission!"

Champa: "Me too! I'll take him for a little sunbathing session. But the rest of you—if you can't bring enough light, stay out of this one. You'll only screw it up."

Piccolo: "Unfortunately, I can't do much here. I'm not equipped to provide light like that."

Piccolo: "But if the mission were to defeat the Kyrieloid, I'd jump right in."

Krillin: "In that case, I could actually help with this mission!"

Master Roshi: "@Krillin, how exactly would you help?"

Krillin: "Master Roshi, have you forgotten? I know the Solar Flare technique! That should be enough to give Tiga the light he needs!"

Goku: "He's right! Solar Flare is super bright. I know it too!"

Tien Shinhan: "Then let me say a few words, because I think everyone's forgetting one thing…"

Tien Shinhan: "Both Goku and Krillin learned the Solar Flare from me. I am the original user—the ancestor of the Solar Flare technique!"

Tien Shinhan: "I never imagined that one day, the Solar Flare would become a technique that could save someone like Tiga!"

Vegeta: "Solar Flare… oh yeah, Kakarot used that on me before to blind me in battle."

Vegeta: "Is it hard to learn? Can I master it right away?"

Goku: "I don't think it would be hard for you. You're a fast learner."

Champa: "@Vegeta, since you don't know it yet, don't grab the mission this time. If you spend the whole mission trying to learn the move, you'll miss the window to complete the task."

Beerus: "I agree with Champa for once. Vegeta, this isn't the mission for you. If you take it and fail, it'll be your responsibility."

Goku: "Actually, Vegeta doesn't need to learn it. He's got enough points, right? Just buy the technique from the system shop."

Goku: "Solar Flare isn't even expensive in the shop."

Champa: "@Beerus, tell me something—is there something wrong with Goku's brain? Vegeta wants to surpass him, and yet he's actively helping him figure out a way to do it!"

Beerus: "He's either incredibly noble or incredibly stupid."

---

As the discussion continued, many of the squad members seriously considered their options. The mission wasn't about brute strength or fighting ability—it was about light.

And among all the members, the Solar Flare users had become the most important. Suddenly, a humble technique used to blind enemies had become the key to saving a giant hero.

The battlefield was dark, the skies even darker. But a new light was about to emerge—not from the sun, but from those who mastered the brilliance of their own resolve.
